"Mr. Malcom."It was Ayushman Handa. "welcome." He shook his hand.

"thank you." He said in his casual stylish tone. "It's such a nice party.. must say I'm impressed." He said taking a look around.

"who is he?" Blair whispered to her father's ear.

"David Malcom. Only son of Mr. Malcom, one of the richest men in Europe. He is buying the engines from France and helping us to make the school by providing money.." He answered in details.

"Welcome Mr. Malcom." Henry Waldorf shook his hands. "Let me introduce you with the people who are working hard to spread education here." Both of them looked towards the four of them.

"She is my daughter Blair. Next to her Mr. Chuck Bass, my daughter's fianc. Geet Handa, the only daughter of Ayushman Handa and her fianc Maan Singh Khurana."

With all the graces, a man could have he shook hands with Maan and Chuck and kissed hands of the girls.

His presence had dramatically changed atmosphere of the great hall. There were a lot of tensions in the air. The curious eyes of women were always following him, not to mention he was the one and only topic of their gossip of the night. They were finding themselves in 7^th heaven if he looked at them just to smile. The envious men were also noticing him to curse him for talking to their ladies.

After half an hour he joined Ayushman Handa and Henry Waldorf with a glass of wine in his hand.

"are the commoners allowed here?" He asked taking a sip.

"No. not at all." Ayushman Handa answered knotting his eye brows.

"Do you think the walk for commoners can be done like this.. staying away from them.. not allowing them in the lavish party." He said mockingly.

"What does he think of himself?" Geet said being irritated. "how could he talk to my father like this?"

Not only Geet but others were irritated as well. Ayushman Handa was a man who was respected by all of them. .

"Even I'm not liking him" Chuck stated.

"Neither have I liked the way he speaks." Maan cleared his throat. "but unfortunately he is right here."

After an hour..

Ayushman Handa went on the stage and announced. "Ladies and gentlemen may I have your attention please." All the whispers in the hall died. "We all know we have two soon to be married couple here. Maan and Geet & Chuck and Blair. But it's not truth."

A whisper started in the hall. All started to predict what he meant by this.

"we don't have two but three couples." As he announced the hall clapped joyfully. "I request Nayantara Khurana and Mr. Dev to come here on the stage.

"Maan did you know all about this? Did you know he is coming?" Nayantara asked him being shocked.

"will tell you everything later." Maan winked. "now go on the stage." He pushed her.

"And this wil be the first widow marriage here." He announced happily. After a round of clap he spoke again. "I request Maan, Geet and Chuck, Blair to join with me."

Maan and Geet joined on stage..

"Chuck, Blair please come on the stage." Ayushman Handa announced again.

"Mr. Henry Waldorf where is Blair?" Chuck asked.

"Is she not with you?" Henry Waldorf knotted eyebrows and Chuck nodded negatively.

"What is happening?" Sensing a problem Geet came near them.

"Blair was with you no?" Henry Waldorf asked taking a look around to spot her.

"No.. I thought she was with Chuck." Geet answered worriedly.

The party came to a halt with this sudden disappearance of Blair.

"She is not anywhere in the hall.." Nayantara said. "I have searched her in every corner."

"She's not in her room even not in the garden." Geet informed.

"Ok.. don't panic." Ayushman Handa stated. "We're going to search her.."

"There she is.." Geet pointed her index finger towards the entrance.

"Blair where were you?" Geet said going towards her. "we were scared."

"Blair where did you leave alone? It's not safe outside on this time" As another voice spoke all turned towards the entrance to find Inspector standing there. He is a man whom Blair never liked.

"thank you Inspector for showing your concern but where my father and fianc are present you don't have to show concern for me." Blair said in a breath then turned towards Geet. "Geet I have to change please come with me." Both of them left.

The rest of the night was uneventful except the deal was signed successfully. Only Blair who couldn't forget the mysterious man in the dark and she was not sure but she saw a man of the inspector with them. It was only Maan who sensed maybe something is wrong going to happen.

In honor of the guest Ayushman and Henry arranged a hunting trip.

Hunting is a thing which always excites Maan. The thought of Geet being with him on the trip make him even more exited. Finally the most awaited day of Maan's life arrived. These two days seemed like a decade to him. On a fine morning the group of hunters arrived on their hunting bungalow in jungle.

It was the time when a group of hunters went after a group of dears and a few people decided to stay in the bungalow to enjoy the beauty of the nature. As Geet decided to stay in the bungalow Maan automatically decided to do the same.

"I assumed you love hunting."

"I do." Maan accepted. "but not more than I love to spend my time with you." Maan's reply caused a crimson red to spread through her cheek. She wanted to hide the blush badly. She failed.

"with your permission my lady I want to teach you something." Maan tilted her chin upwards in order to make contact with her almond shaped hazel eyes.

"what?"

"hunting?" Maan said curving his lips into a smile.

"hunting?" Geet said wrinkling her eye brows. "Why?"

"So next time I don't have to compromise with hunting in order to be with you." Maan said offering his hand which she gladly accepted.

With a gun in hand Maan came outside of the bungalow to teach her hunting. Spotting Chuck and Blair there Geet smiled at them.

"so how is the hunting going on?" Maan asked looking both of them with gun.

"it's more than good." Blair replied confidently. "I have hunt down four birds.. and he" looking proudly at Chuck she announced "only one. Father said he is good at hunting."

"wow!" Geet exclaimed. "Blair you've improved very soon.

When Maan and Chuck were in University Chuck was counted among the best shooters. Mostly he used to score highest in hunting on every picnic. Chuck looked at Maan which make Chuck realize not only him but Maan too knows how Blair actually won over him rather say how he let her win. Both the men smiled at each other and turned towards their lady love with a serious face.

"Maan instruct me." Geet said enthusiastically.

Maan twirled Geet around. Her back hit his chest causing her to be nervous. She was never so closed to him before. Maan rested his chin on her shoulder tracing her hand.

"Put this hand here." Maan murmured in her ears kissing her neck curves while placing her hand on the trigger of the gun. "and other hand here.."

"Keep your eyes only on the prey." Maan whispered in her other ear looking at a rabbit.

But Geet didn't realize who the prey here is. She only realized playing game with hunter is not so easy when you have already made your mind to be hunted down by him. He was so close to her. She was lost in his words, his voice, his smell and she was trapped in his eyes. The moment was jinxed.. A few seconds seemed as long as a decade. Yet it was passing away so soon.

"And it's done.." pronouncing the words Maan shot the rabbit which made Geet to come out of her fantasy bubble and look at their already dead hunt. "see Geet, you're not that bad." Maan smiled realizing on what was Geet paying her attention.

"yes.. I am not bad at all." Geet gave a shy smile to hide the awkward situation.

Finally the day came to an end. It was time to say farewell to the guests.

"Good Bye Mr. Khurana.. good bye Mr. Bass." Mr. Malcom shook their hands before leaving. "I wish I could spend a few more days with you." He said shifting his eyes from Maan to Chuck. "I really appreciate your hard works on the school.. " He gave an appreciating smile. "hope when I will visit this place again I will witness a better place with better and cultured people."

"I assure you Mr. Malcom you won't be disappointed." Maan smiled back.

"Good Bye.." He left for station.

Two weeks later

It was the day of Nayantara's wedding.. It's true that this day is the most important day in the history of the state. But this widow marriage also created a distance between commoners and royals. They did not accept a Hindu widow getting married again.

But an adamant Ayushman wanted this wedding to take place as soon as possible. He and others tried to make the common people understand this is not against the religion. Though a few people understand but most of them denied. Things were getting complicated. They wanted to bring renascence in their place but it was only increasing their anger on royals. And in this mess Maan couldn't meet Geet for two weeks.

Geet was witnessing the last minute preparations standing in a corner. Suddenly a strong masculine hand pulled her from behind. In a second he pinned her on a pillar.

"Maan.. let me go.. anyone can come here"

"don't worry Geet. None is going to come here.. none can see us here."

"Maan why you dragged me here.. we could have talked.."

Before she could finish her sentence Maan stopped her by kissing on her lips. "I couldn't do this in front of others." He gave a smirk which resulted Geet to blush. "and I was craving to spend a few moments with you.." He pulled her closer by her waist. "only with you."

"Maan.."

"Shhh.." He put his index finger on her small lips. "don't let the words spoil this moment." He said slowly unpinning Geet's hair. Geet was not in her control. His straight jaw line made almost impossible for her to resist the desire to reach out and touch his face. She wanted to be a part of him in ways that went far beyond physical and emotional understanding. Maan didn't react when her small palm touch his face. He just kept looking at her godly beauty. Her beauty spoke of light. A light so pure which can burn away the body while soul clung to it. And Maan wanted to be consumed in that light. His hand moved along her back then down to the curve of her hip. Keeping untangles her hair he found his way around her mouth. Geet never felt anything like this. She felt terror but still she wants to embrace this feelings. Cause she could realize now she is in the safest place in this world. In Maan's arms. No danger can touch her here.

Minutes and hours passed by. They kept sitting silently in each others arms.

"Geet.."

"hmmm.." She gave a small reply.

I have something to give you."

Geet tilted her head to Maan. Maan handed him a small box. "A small gift for you..open it."

Opening the box she found a beautiful earring made of expensive stones. "my mother wanted me to give you." He studied Geet's gesture. "and I want you to wear this on di's wedding."

"Maan I'm extremely sorry but I've picked my finest new gown to wear in the wedding. And this will not look good.." Geet said feeling at fault.

Maan smiled in reply. He pushed her hair behind her ears to kiss on her cheek and whispered "I want you to wear this on the wedding." Giving a small kiss on her lips he left the place.

It was the day of wedding. Maan was standing at the main gate welcoming the guests. But his eyes were searching only for Geet. Geet's father has already come, Chuck, Blair her father everyone is present here but Geet.

"Geet, where are you Geet.. why are you taking so much time." Maan murmured loosing his patience. "Please come soon."

Maan's restless march stopped with a sound of horse carriage entering the portico. A beautiful sandal worn feet come out of it. And the next moment Maan couldn't believe the figure who is standing in front of him. Geet was wearing a red Maslin sari with gold work on it. She was looking beautiful, more than any earthly human can be. It was the first time Maan was seeing Geet in sari. Geet gave a sigh smile to him and slowly moved her locks from her ears. Maan could see his gifted earrings were shining there making her more beautiful.
