o I'm sorry Anne! silly me! should have been clear that she spent her time on the floor during his long absence and that the wedding night was spent with them in two corners of the room looking for Bichhoos and Snakes so that he could make sure that not only would the bed be pure but also the floor otherwise his wife would be tainted by snakes and bichhoos and that might lead to an abnormal child.. or a child who might not be the husbands... you see in order to make sure that he fathers the child the woman has to be untouched for ever! a fly can not touch her lest she defile her purity and she ends up having a beastly child!! it's very complicated! and if heaven forbid they touch then she must do puja for the rest of her life just like Anjali who cant take her hands off her husband... no wonder they have no children and she is always immersed in her thhaal!
