The Golden 'Fish'
"Sharma C'mon get ready fast..we should leave for site early so that we will have more time to research..."said Gunjan while belting her jeans.
Mayank glanced at her,she was looking attractive in tight fit blue jeans,thick black belt matching with same color high heeled boots.
"Ahem Ahem!!! Some one is looking hot...!"he said.
She smiled in return.
"Ahaan!!! What's the matter girl friend..passing Smile! are you planning me to marry me!"he grinned and passed a wink.
"Shut up Sharma...!Lets go!"said Gunjan smiling.
After half an hour they both were facing a huge rock on which a beautiful design was engraved,it was looking like some ancient art.Mayank and Gunjan were wondering its beauty and taking snaps from different angels when some one called them from back.
"It is an ancient art...called Mahzunga..."said the boy.
They both turned and were pleased to see that it was the same boy who guided them to the palace.
"Hey Samrat!"Gunjan and he shook hands.
Mayank was rather surprised to see the excitement in Gunjan..."Samrat...!"he laughed in his mind after hearing his name..."Gardener's son and his name is 'samrat'!" Mayank giggled on his own thought.
"Sharma!What happened?"Gunjan asked.
"no..Nothing...Hey SAMRAT!"he said while taking his name a bit sarcastically.
The boy yet understood his hidden sarcasm but ignored...and turned towards Gunjan...
"Did you both see The Golden Fish?" he asked
"Golden Fish!!!"they both exclaimed together.
Samrat's eyes broadened,"WHAT!!! you both have spend 2 whole days in Mahvira and have not seen Golden Fish yet!!!"
Mayank and Gunjan looked at each other as they did some crime...
"Hey don't worry..I'll take you there..."said samrat enthusiastically...and they both followed him like an obedient child.

After one and half hour's journey full of walking,climbing on rocks,passing through a jungle and almost dumping in trench..three of them reached at an old temple situated in the middle of a reservoir...
"OMG!!!"huffed Mayank and sat down on ground...Gunjan and samrat too did the same...
"I think we should relax here and then enter in the temple."gunjan suggested.
"Exactly!"said Mayank.
While they were sitting outside,they noticed a lot of hustle and bustle inside.
"Looking like some happening is going on inside..."said Mayank glancing inside from the door.
"Yes...your procession is getting ready..."said gunjan and giggled.Mayank passed a glare and stood up...
"Lets go inside!"he directed and both of them also got up to go inside.When they entered from the big and ancient gate,they found a huge rounded hall,it was all empty except the large golden fish idol which was situated on the top of a golden base.
"Wow!!!"Gunjan gasped a deep breath in amazement.Mayank found it weird and gunjan's expressions made him laugh out loudly...he could'nt control his loud laugh and this won everyone's attention.On the other side princess and her followers turned towards him...Mayank too looked at them...
"Ohh princess is also there...that's why this hustle and bustle..."remarked samrat.
Mayank's eyes flew towards her,she was looking exceptionally beautiful in her green attire...Nupur found appreciation for her in his eyes and in return her eyes lowered and a smile curved on her lips.Mayank stepped towards Nupur,her heart started beating fast,she was looking at the ground with her eyes moving left and right as to find an escape from his constant gaze.He came to her and stopped just in front of her.Princess instructs her followers to go outside.Gunjan and samrat went to other side for their own privacy.
"If I say you are beautiful,then it would be too small compliment for you..."said Mayank sneaking in her eyes.Nupur's already red cheeks turned more red.
"Lets go and pray.."she said softly.
Mayank was confused,Pray...but to whom?"he thought but followed her quietly without any question.
Nupur took him in front of big idol of golden fish and made her gestures to pray,she closed her eyes...
"What!!! Praying to this Fish!!! What a fish!!!"Mayank whispered loudly...and looked at Nupur.She was silently making a wish...
"Wow...so pure,so innocent...!"he thought and looking at her constantly till she opened her eyes.Nupur made wish and opened her eyes and found Mayank admiring her.She blinked her eyes twice like a doll and that broke his gaze.
"What did u wish?"asked Mayank curiously.She looked at him strangly and then replied,"If I tell then wish would not be completed..."
Mayank tried to supress his laugh on her superstition.
"Mayank,why are laughing...show some respect,they are worshiped by us and we consider them lucky...they have magical powers...and one important thing..."she became very serious..."whatever you wish to them,sooner or later it get fulfilled..."
Mayank could'nt help but to laugh out loudly,"WHAT A FISH!!!"
Nupur got confused,though she was well educated and knows languages other than Mahvi,but she could not understood why he remarked like that as she was unaware of modern English slangs.She asked innocently,"Means??? sorry I did not get u.."
Mayank became careful,"Mayank!just shut up...don't make fun of her beliefs...you are preparing to spoil a relationship which is not started yet...!be careful...!" he thought and tried to turn the side...
"errmm..Princess actually it is a praiser...when we want to praise something then we say like that,'What a fish' or 'What the hell'..you know..."
"Ohh..!Sorry I am not aware of all this...but Mayank Hell means a dirty place...then why it is used to praise something?"she asked confusedly.
"Mayank you are gone now..princess is intelligent" he chuckled on his thought.
"Actually...its..its homonym..you know sounds similar but different meanings..."he tried to convince her and it worked.She accepted his explanation.
"Ohh..wow and thank you..I'll also use this phrase to praise..."
"Yes offcourse!"Mayank grinned in his mind.
"Lets go now!"said nupur and turned to go...but Mayank hold her hand quickly..."I want to stay here forever..."he said directly looking into her eyes.
Nupur felt a shiver,"Leave my hand Mayank...its a public place and..."
"And I want to confess publicly that I..."Mayank's throat got chocked.
"I..."Nupur looked at him questionably.
"I..I want to...I mean...I just.."Mayank stammered in nervousness.
Nupur snatched her hand smoothly and turned to go...she had taken few steps when Mayank said,"I want to be your
friend!I would share your lonliness,your pain,your unsaid words,your feelings and your dreams princess...if you allow...!"he said and bowed down like a gentleman.
Nupur's eyes became moist,"Yes,I do allow!"
