She failed to notice anything earlier, that's why her gob was opened in surprise right now.
Now the rest:
The whole place was empty. She looked around for any poor soul roaming about but failed to find anyone.
"Shall we?" she jumped back hearing his voice near her ears.
"Ka...kahan..?" she stuttered.
"Over there" he pointed towards a table.
"I just wanted to have a talk with you alone, nothing else" he said, as though he knew what she was thinking about.
'Plus 1 for his decent thinking. Shame on you Geet' Geet thought.
'Okay so no murdering me after calling me somewhere alone' Geet thought, as they walked towards the table.
They were walking side by side, his hand softly brushed hers.
"Jhatka!!!" Meera's voice rang in her ears like an alarm clock.
"Chup!!" Geet shouted, as she stopped walking.
"What?" she heard him say.
Oh Jeez, Meera's voice was playing in her head and she shouted for no reason!
"Uh..nothing! Not for you.." she said nervously.
"Okay.." he sounded unsure.
"I'm not mentally ill or something" Geet quickly said.
He chuckled lightly.
"I never said that now did I" he chuckled.
'He doesn't call me a weirdo, I'm not a weirdo so Plus 1' she mentally calculated.
"Come" he said, pointing towards the chair.
Both walked towards the table, he pulled a chair for her like a true gentleman. She smiled at him and walked to the other side sitting on the opposite chair, looking around the place.
He sighed, and sat on the chair instead.
"So tell me, what would you like to have?" he asked.
"N..nothing. We're here to talk remember" Geet replied.
He sighed, keeping back the menu and rested his back on the chair.
Bzzz
Her phone buzzed, she looked at it. A text from Meera. She opened it and it said;
'Quit being quiet and tell him you're not those types of girl!'
"How did this Kamini know? Is she here?" Geet looked around.
Bzzz
Another text that said;
'Kamini bolna Band kar! I know you're a shit idiot when it comes to this! So hurry up and tell him your Dil Ki Baat!'
"Oh Meera" Geet muttered.
She looked up and almost forgot to breathe, he was staring at her; intently. Her empty stomach fluttered with butterflies, oh gosh his one stare was enough to make her nervous. She started fumbling, nervously looking here and there.
Bzzz
The phone in her hand went flying and landed mercilessly as she nervously jumped back.
"Oh Shit!" She shouted in a shaky voice.
She stood up and bent down to pick it up. Her hands touched his and she jumped back up like she had been electrocuted. He stayed there, staring at her upwards as she looked here and there nervously. He picked her phone up and extended his hand as he stood up.
'Why why why why do I feel so nervous when he stares at me' she thought, fidgiting with her hands.
"Your phone" he said, oh that manly voice of his.
She moved her shaking hand towards him, cursing herself mentally for being so clumsy. She took her phone from his hand, and his fingers brushed against her. Damn she wanted to fall down on the ground, her knees buckled.
The phone slipped from her hands again but he was quick enough to grab it before it fell to the ground.
"S..ssoo.ssorrr..." she fumbled.
'Geet stop acting so stupid!' She mentally chided herself.
She grabbed her phone with two finger, trying not to touch him and placed it on the table as she sat down quickly.
He looked at her amused. She didn't look at him.
He came around and sat down too, she could see him from the corner of her eyes.
Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath. 'Geet, please stop being an idiot and talk to him like you normally do' she told herself.
She knew he was staring at her, but she didn't want to make a fool out of herself this time. Opening her eyes, she said everything she had rehearsed.
"Listen, I'm here to tell you that I'm not those types of girls who cling onto any other guy. I'm from a very respected family, and I Request you to stop thinking anything can happen between us because truth is, We can't be." she said it so fast, she herself forgot the the hell she just said.
His expressions, he looked lost and so..so amused.
