Chapter 2
"Hi Im Armaan" The girl turned around to see a very handsome boy with a naughty smirk on his face. He had the most gorgeous features that it could make any girl drool, his dimples were showing and he had the top two buttons of his shirt open showing off his well built chest. His deep blue eyes were gazing on to her body as if intrigued by it. This was no other than the one and only Armaan Mallik. Also known as the school's playboy. He had a reputation of changing more girls in a week than you changed a t-shirt in a day, yet no girl could resist him. They knew what they were asking for and what it could result in but it was worth it, at least they would have the honour of being called his girl for a while. The girl put on a teasing smile and replied, "I know who you are, you don't have to tell me." Armaan chuckled at her response, it was that easy for him, and he knew he was going to win her.
"Well I don't know who you are so I thought to start with a polite introduction, so you are..." He said forwarding his hand.
"I'm Tanya." The girl said with a seductive smile whilst putting her hand in his. He took her hand and kissed it.
"Well Tanya, how would you like to go on a date tonight with me?" he asked flashing his million dollar smile at her. He heard her friends sigh behind her; this was too easy for him.
"Sure, pick me up at 8?" She said biting her lips.
"I'll be there."
"Cant wait." She finished with a wink and kissed his cheek, she then ran off with her friends giggling.
Armaan turned towards his group and grinned triumphantly at them. Tanya was one of the hottest girls in school who had a history with past boyfriends, she was known to date them and then dump them after a few dates which in Armaans criteria was the perfect girl for him. He didn't want a girl who would stick to him but a girl who would understand and not push their luck, and in comes Tanya. Armaan walked towards his group and sat on the bench smacking his best friend, Rahul's back.
"Hey that hurt dude!" Rahul whined rubbing his back.
"Toughen up man or you will never get a chick!" Armaan retorted back to him with a cheeky grin on his face.
"I still wouldn't get one even if I did with you around!"
"True, I can't argue with that." Armaan laughed at Rahul's narrowed eyes. "Oh come on, Raool, relax you know im only messing with you. You can get any girl you want." Armaan looked around the college and spotted a hot brunette.
"Hey, how about that one?" Armaan pointed towards her. Rahul looked at her and shook his head.
"Wont work. YOU dated her, then dumped her, and she seen me around with you so she will probably hate me as much as she hates you." Rahul replied as if it were a known fact. Armaan looked at him in surprise; he couldn't remember that girl at all. Rahul could read right through his expression and replied
"Armaan you dated and dumped many hot girls, do you really expect yourself to remember them all?" Armaan just shrugged his shoulders with a not-bothered look on his face. Rahul sighed in defeat, he was never going to change he thought.
"So who's this new girl then?" Armaan grinned at the new topic brought up.
"Don't know, something Gita or Tia, eh can't remember. But she's hot, so I can tell my night is going to be a hot, smoky one." Rahul rolled his eyes at his friends reply whilst Armaan had a proud smile dawning upon his face.
This was the only thing Armaan's mind worked around, of course his studies as well and his friends. Then Rahul remembered something,
"Wait, tonight? Armaan you were supposed to come over for dinner, mom was so excited she hasn't seen you for ages." Armaan eyes went wide in realisation, shit how could he forget? He was so looking forward to seeing Sirma mom after so long.
"Shit, sorry Rahul yaar I totally forgot that that was tonight. I will change my date to this weekend, yeah?" Armaan was truly sorry; Rahul knew that by seeing his expression. He gave him a small smile to show he forgave him.
"Its okay Armaan, you go on your date. You can come to dinner next week."
"No way man, forgot Mia, Tia-whatever her name is, tell Mom I will be there at 7 sharp." Armaan said with a grin, Rahul smiled back in appreciation.
No matter what Armaan's reputation was in school, Rahul knew the real him. They had best friends since the age of 4, and knew each other inside out. They shared everything with each other and never let anything or anyone get in between them. Even though Armaan had the playboy image, he cared for his friends, especially his close ones like Rahul. He would do anything for him and Sirma mom, just like they did for Armaan. When Armaan was younger he never got much attention from his parents, they were always busy with work and parties so never had any time for him. He was an only child so was lonely and had many nannies looking after him but he always wanted his parents love the most. As he grew older, he didn't need nannies anymore so his parents let him look after himself. When he met Rahul and his mom in school, they befriended him straight away and filled that empty void in his heart, treating him as their own. Since then the two boys had been inseparable, they did everything together, went to the same school, and did the same courses as well. Rahul had gone to a different University for the first year but moved to Armaan's three months ago because it was too far. They never fought over anything serious but did have their little squabbles. Secrets were never an issue with them since they knew everything about each other, plus they didn't want to keep anything from the other.
"Thanks man, by the way the girl's name is Tanya." They both chuckled at his reminder.
"Puh-lease I don't need remember a girls name to get a girl, I can any one I want." Rahul rolled his eyes at his friend's smugness.
"Really now?" Armaan nodded is certainty, Rahul looked around and spotted Riddhima from a distance listening to music, wearing her usual black attire. "How about that one? Can you get her?"
Armaan turned towards who he was pointing to and his expression became grim realising who he was talking about. He didn't spare Riddhima a glance lasting more than a second before turning back to Rahul and replying in a disgusted tone "What does it matter? Why would I want to get that freak? She looks as scary as a ghost but with piercing all over its body!" Armaan shuddered at the thought.
Rahul had an amused smile on his face seeing his reaction.
"Ooh is Armaan Mallik admitting he cant get any girl?" Rahul wagged his eyebrows when the bell rang and Armaan got up grabbing his bag and slapped Rahuls head.
"Hey!" Rahul rubbed his head with a frown on his face.
"No, im just saying I don't want to have a girl like that, now lets get to tutor before we are late." They both headed towards the building with the rest of their group.
Armaan opened the door of his house and fell on the couch exhausted. He had such a tiring day today; he had so many lectures to note down, and had two assignments to do within the lesson. Armaan sighed relief, closing his eyes to clear his mind out. His house, as usual, was quiet with only the maids and servants doing their jobs. His parents were out doing what they wanted like every other day leaving Armaan to nourish the peaceful silence.
Billy and Naina Mallik, Armaans parents and one of the richest people in the UK. They had moved from India before Armaan was born and had started a business there from scratch. It was going steady until Naina was announced pregnant, that had made them both worried about how they would cope financially because they weren't ready for a child. When Armaan was born, they had hired a nanny to look after him so they could look after the business. They were struggling but they coped and now they were filthy rich. They didn't find the need to look after Armaan since he was grown up and they thought he didn't need them so they focused on their work and party life more leaving Armaan behind.
Armaan looked at the time, showing 4pm. He decided to take a shower and a nap to help him relax since he still had a couple of hours till he had to go to Rahuls house. He ran up to his room and dropped on the bed to have a snooze; he made sure he had set the alarm an hour before he would have to leave. He closed his eyes, and had a dreamless sleep.
His dreamless sleep was interrupted by shrill of his alarm clock. He groaned getting up and turned it off. He checked the time, realising he had less than an hour before he had to leave, he grabbed his towel and jumped in to the shower.
30 minutes later he came out with a towel round his waist and little water droplets falling from his hair on to his body. He took out a white shirt and blue jeans from his wardrobe and got dressed. He grabbed his phone and checked the time, 5 minutes left, he ran out the house across the street to Rahuls house. That was a great advantage for them; they were best friends and lived right across the street so they could see each other any time.
4 hours later he returned home totally knackered. He had had a great time at Rahuls house, playing Xbox, telling jokes with each other and of course flirting with Sirma mom. He was about to go upstairs when he heard a voice,
"And where have you been?" Armaan turned to see his father sitting on the sofa reading a newspaper, not looking up once at him.
Armaan rolled his eyes annoyingly at his father's question, "I went to Rahuls house for dinner." He replied with a rude tone.
"For so long? You see each other everyday, you don't need to go over to his for dinner. You get perfectly cooked here too!" His father was getting impatient now with his sons rude tone.
"Yeah well, there's a difference between their food and ours," His father waited for him to continue, "Theirs is made out of love and care not reluctantness." With that he ran up to his room and banged the door. His father just rolled his eyes at his sons answer and carried to reading the newspaper.
This was the everyday life for Armaan Mallik, he would start it off joyously and it would end with him being angry and hurt. But he never complained, well not directly, he had got used to the fact that his parents were incapable of loving him so he gave up on the entire subject of love. Love for him was just unreal; it didn't exist in his dictionary. That's what he made himself think.
