Kabhi Na Kabhi-Chapter 3
Kripa was not looking at him, she didn't want to look at him. The tears in her eyes expressed anger, not sadness. He asked her again. "Why didn't you wait for me, Kripa?"
She closed her eyes. "I waited three months Angad."
He scoffed. "Three months huh? You make it sound like three decades."
"It was much more than that for me. I went through so much pain in those three months. More pain than I will ever go though."
He tried to stay calm but he was failing slowly. "I think I should leave, Kripa." He stood up but she caught his hand.
"I'm sorry." She softly said.
"For what, not waiting for me? Or for marrying Prithvi? Or maybe, falling in love with him?" He looked away and pulled her forward, then looking back at her he kissed her forehead. "I loved you Kripa. I love you, now. I wanted you to be entirely mine, but that dream of mine will never come true."
"Angad I had to move on, I had no other choice. My father was ready to disown me. Prithvi proposed to me and I agree. It was that simple. I couldn't wait for you, for ten years."
"You could have waited for me ten days." His words hit her like rocks, and she left his hand.
"Ten days?"
His tears spilled finally, he cupped her face in his hands. "I watched you become Prithvi's, Kripa. I watched you accept him as your husband. I watched you guys be announced man and wife. I watched him kiss these lips, that were once only touched by mine. Ten days, and your Father knew. Your mother knew, Prithvi knew, you knew, but you didn't wait. Why?" His head lowered; he broke into a million little pieces. Kripa stood still as this new fact came in front of her. Something she never knew. Something she never wanted. She never wanted Angad, the man she loved, she loves, to see her marrying someone else.
As everything hit her again, she looked at the man in front of her crying. "I'm sorry," she whispered again.
Angad managed a laugh, "Is that all you can say? Sorry?"
"Yes." Slowly she sat down on the bed. Angad followed. "All I can be is sorry, all I can say is sorry. Sorry." Her comments followed a period of silence. "Can I ask you for something Angad?"
He looked at her and smiled. "Anything. Just make sure its in my reach."
"Can you hold me?" His head shot-up. She looked at him as well. "Please." He hesitated before he pulled her into his arms, and allowed her to cry, for as long as she wanted, until falling asleep beside him.
Around, eleven, he tucked her in and sat down beside her once again. In the dark room, she glistened. He compared the figure to the Kripa he knew ten years ago and now. She was different, and like he had realized last time, for the better.
He leaned down and kissed her forehead. As his lips met her skin, he once again was determined to get her back.

"Maybe she didn't know Angad. Perhaps no one ever told her." A handsome man sat in front of Angad, his close friend Mitch.
"I don't know, and I really don't care Mitch. All I know is that I love her, and I want her back." Angad looked into the blue eyes that examined him. "Forever."
Mitch smiled, "You are still mad about her, huh?"
"Did I ever say I wasn't?"
Mitch sat back in his chair and smiled. "The question Angad, is that does she want you back?"
After a long time Angad smiled his famous smile, a smirk, rather. "If she doesn't, if she has doesn't love me anymore, I know exactly how to do that."
"Ah! I'm happy to see the old Angad Khanna back!"
"I'm happy to be back." He sipped his coffee and smiled into his cup.

Anjali sat in front of the computer, her fingers posed on the key board. She looked at the two sentences she had typed in the past twenty minutes and then at her mother.
"Anjali, really let me do it."
"Mother! I have to learn." She leaned back into her seat and looked at Kripa with her honey brown eyes. "Please!"
"Anjali, I've been sitting here for half-an-hour now, please let me do this."
"Mother!" she wined.
"Gosh!" Kripa stood up frustrated. "Do this yourself, when you're done call me and I'll print it. Okay?"
"You've got yourself a deal, Mom." She smiled and fluttered her eyelashes.
"Like father like daughter," Kripa mumbled. Then she smiled looking at her pretty daughter. When she turned she crashed into a hard body.
"Oops!" He said, with a grin on his face. Angad held Kripa's arms and pushed her back. "I'm sorry, I didn't know you would be turning anytime soon."
Kripa looked at the man annoyed. "What the hell are you doing here?"
"Hey, watch your tough miss."
Kripa rolled her eyes, "Shut-up, will you."
Angad looked at Anjali, who was looking at them. "I'm here too see Anjali, not you." He pushed her away and went sat beside the little girl.
"Hi."
"Hey little girl. How are you?" He picked her up and placed the girl in his lap.
"Well, nothing much, I'm trying to type this stupid paper."
"Need help?"
"Well, kind of. What if I read this paper to you and you typed it for me?"
Angad thought about if for a second. "Deal, but…"
"But?"
"You have to let me eat dinner with you tonight, done?"
"Alright." Anjali jumped out of his lap and Angad sat down in front of the computer screen, and then looked at Kripa whose mouth was wide open, of course in shock.
When Angad winked to her, she shook and left the place, making wired faces to herself.
Before turning into the other room she turned and looked at two, now completely engaged in the task. She couldn't help but smile. It didn't matter how much Anjali tried she still had an immature side to her, "mature" self. Kripa closed her eyes as a tear trickled down her eye.
Angad looked at her from the corner of his eye. Kripa opened her eyes and walked away from there. Angad's typing sped up. Once they were done he asked Anjali to read the entire paper twice before hitting the print button. He stood up and left the place.
Angad walked into the small porch and looked at Kripa who was staring at the moon. Angad went and stood beside her. Kripa knew he was beside her but she didn't move or look at him. Angad then placed his hand on top of hers. Now Kripa moved a little. Angad felt her hand stiffen under his, and then loosen and turn. Her palm touch his, and she held his hand taking a step closer to him. Angad turned her and lifted her face slowly. "What's past is past. It's your present and more importantly your future you have to think about. And, more than anyone or anything you have to think about you young daughter. You have to think about yourself," he paused. "You have to think about us." Kirpa's grip loosed but Angad held it tighter. "Please Kripa." His voice was now a whisper. "I've lost you once, I don't want to again."
"Angad, you said I have a daughter to think about. Well, when I think about her I can't see myself with another man, its just her and I. That's it. No one else can come into my life. I can't live the way I once wanted to. I can't treat you the way I once wanted to, I can't Angad, I just can't."
Angad took a deep breath. "What about Anjali. Does she not need the love of a father? Would you like it if she never experienced a relationship of a daughter and father?"
Kripa looked at him, anger flared in her eyes. "If she wishes she can keep in touch with her father, I can't force her."
Angad exhaled sharply. "Stop it will you. For a idiot man who ditched you, you can't move on in life?"
"Angad please!" She whispered, looking away.
Angad calmed himself down and cupped her face in his hands. "Kripa I…"
She quickly covered his mouth. "Not now Angad, not now. I can't handle anything right now. I don't want to loose myself, I'm a mother of a young girl and I need to set an example for her. I can't deny her for my happiness."
"Kripa, by moving on in life, you're going to help her more than yourself."
"Give me time, Angad. Please."
"Alright you have all the time you want."
"Angad, no! You can't, because you're going to leave in a few days. Then I'll be where I started."
"Trust me, Kripa."
"I can't, you've asked me to trust you so many times, and it's never worked out. It's not going to this time either. It's never going to work out between us. Never." She released his hand and ran from the porch.
