Friendship Day
I was excited for the coming friendship day,not because I have made so many friends and they were going to gift me so many beautiful friendship bands but because that time I was going to make a special friend,my first teacher friend Mayank sir!
On friendship day,there was nothing new in our school except that students were found more in canteen rather than class,some of them have bunked class and others did'nt let their teachers to take lectures.I was very nervous,holding that special friendship band in my hand and my eyes were busy in searching Mayank sir.
"Caught you!!!" Gunjan gave a tight hug from my back,"Happy friendship day jaan!"said she
"Gunjan!same to you..."I replied hiding my friendship band.
"Hey!!what are u hiding??show me...show me..."
I started running and she was after me...soon she captured me and cuddled to see the band...snatched it from my hands and her eyes glimmed seeing it.
"Wow!!!Its so pretty! for me nahh...then why were you hiding it..??"she asked and then herself gave the answer
"Ohh you wanted to surprise me...right!!" she said happily.
"Gunjan!!! give me"I snatched the band from her hand and said plainly,"Its not for you!"
"What!!!!not for me!!!"she stampped her feet on ground.
"Yes!!!Its for someone very special.."I said looking in sky in a dreamy voice.
"Okay I understood its for Mayank sir right!"she said
"Right!"
She moved from there sadly and I supressed my laugh,"Gunjan!What happened?"I asked as if I did'nt understand anything.
"Nothing!"said she sadly.
I hugged her from back,"This one is for you!"I tied another band on her wrist,"I love you!"I said kissing on her cheek.
"Wow!!!!Its also beautiful..thank u!"she said excitedly.
"Hmm..."I smiled.
"so Mission Mayank sir..shall we start!"said she smiling..and we both moved towards faculty room.
I peeped inside but Mayank sir was not there...
"Lehhh...Sir toh hai hi nahi!"I made a fusss..
"Excuse me sir!Where is Mayank sir?"gunjan asked to another.
"He is in music room"he told.
"Thank you sir!"she said and we both moved to music room.
"Gunjan..what is he doing in music room??"I was confused and gunjan too.
When we came near to the musci room,we heard a soothing tune of guitar,I looked inside,Mayank sir was sitting on a desk,holding guitar in hand and playing its chords,he was so lost in the music that he had closed his eyes,nodding head on the rhythm of music.
I looked and lost,lost in my dream world again,my imagination had taken wings and I was flying in the endless sky where my dream man Maynak sir was playing guitar in a garden surrounded by mangolia trees.The smell of flowers was mingled in wind and it was blowing slowly,smoothly touching my cheeks.I was dancing on his rhythm opening my arms wide...I was happy very happy!
"Nupur!!!"gunjan shook my hand.
"hmmm..."I opened my eyes with a jerk.
"What???U again lost?"said she raising her brows.
"Sorry!!!"I said and we entered,his music was stopped and he had opened his eyes.
"Sir!"I said and due to nervousness the last "R" chocked in my throat.
"Yes!!! Ms.Nupur bhushan.."he said recalling my name.
"Yes sir!"
"Yes tell me what happened?"he asked
"Sirr..actually..."
"Any problem in my last lecture?"he asked smiling.
"No sir..yes sirr..I mean no sirrr.."I was stammering.
His eyes broadened...and then he took a deep breath and said,"Nupur if you have any problem in my style of teaching or understanding in class then you can tell me without any fear...your performance and response in class is not good...and its very unfortunate for a bright student like you!"he said
"Sorry sir!!!"I lowered my eyes.
"Listen Nupur I am not angry with you...I just want you to concentrate and if you are finding difficulties then you can tell me without any hesitation...I am your teacher but I want a friendly atmosphere in class..."he tried to relax me.
My happiness knew no bounds after hearing the word"Friendly" from his mouth...I without any delay or taking any second thought presented my band in front of him,
"Sir...can I tie this friendship band plzzz"I requested.
He looked at me surprised...and my heart beated like a drum.
