Part 9

That night Khushi sat in her bed thinking about the song Teri Meri Prem Kahani and her reaction to it. "Why did I react like that? It makes no sense she said out loud. It has already been two years, I need to get over him. This is ridiculous. She grabbed her iPod and searched the song and started listening to it. As she sang along with the song she felt better.

Meanwhile Arnav was writing his journal entry for the day.

I am really worried about Khushi. She was crying during the song today in the theater. I have to try and talk to her. She may not tell me what is going on, but I have to try anyway.

After writing the entry Arnav closed the book and turned out the light and went to sleep.

The next morning Khushi woke up to her sister banging on her door.

"Khushi" What are you doing?" We are going to be late for college.

Khushi shot up straight in her bed and looked at her alarm clock. It was already 10:35 and her class was at 11:00.

"Oh crap" said Khushi as she got out of her bed and ran to her door. "Jiji, you go and eat, I will be down in five minutes"

"I am going to go start the car" said Payal. "Be down in 5."

Khushi got ready and grabbed her favorite purple sweater and her comb as she ran down the stairs and into Payal's waiting car.

"Sorry Jiji, I overslept" said Khushi as she pulled a comb through her long hair.

"It's fine" said Payal her eyes on the road

Payal and Khushi made it to college with five minutes until Khushi's class.

"Bye Jiji" yelled Khushi as she ran out of the car and into the building where her class was held.

Arnav was walking down the hall to his class when he saw Khushi running down the hall, her hair flying behind her.

"Khu.."

"Hi Arnav, Bye Arnav, Late for class" said Khushi as she rushed past him.

"Okay then" said Arnav shaking his head.
