Depth Of His Eyes

Armaan and Riddhima are getting married in the next two weeks! Their engagement is today and two weeks later will be pronounced as husband and wife. Preparations are in full swing and guests out of town/states have started coming in. The atmosphere of the houses are full of happiness and joyous that no one has the time to think of anything sad, especially at Riddhima's house. She will be leaving and will permanently be moving away. It was temporary at first because after college she was suppose to come back home, but since Armaan and his family live in the place where Riddhima studies, Riddhima has to live there.

Padma walks into Riddhima's room and finds it messy because Riddhima has started packing her things. The day after the wedding, Riddhima will be leaving with Armaan and his parent's. Padma shakes her head on seeing the messy room. Riddhima looks at her mom helplessly.

"Ma, move jab hona hota toh itna ghand hota hai. Aur aap ke haatho main kya hai?" Riddhima asks, looking at the packages in Padma's hands.

"Yeh aur kapre aaye hain tere liye," Padma said, putting the packets down on the bed. Riddhima sighs and she takes a look at the clothes.

"Ma, mere paas bohut kapre ho gaye. Ab please mere liye aur kapre nai mang vaye," Riddhima said, looking at Padma.

"Tum naye ghar main jaa rahi ho toh tumhare paas naye kapre bhi hone chaiye," said Padma.

"Mere paas kapre hain ma."

"Acha theek hai. Thodi daer main tayar hona shuru ho jaana. Main Anjali aur Muskaan ko bhej dogi," said Padma, while leaving Riddhima's room. Riddhima sighs and gets back to packing her clothes.

Riddhima wasn't ready to marry Armaan. She didn't know him well enough yet and the horrible things that happened in the plane are still fresh in her mind. Riddhima shudders on even thinking about it. She just hopes he's not like that after marriage. Riddhima is still annoyed with Armaan whenever he smirks or gives smart answers to her. Riddhima doesn't know how she's going to handle Armaan after marriage. Armaan has called Riddhima a few times and he always has annoyed her. Riddhima hangs up when he's gone extent. Armaan just laughs it off, shaking his head. But there have been times when she thinks of Armaan being a normal, sweet guy. Like he was when he had to talk to her. Armaan was calm and gentle with her. There was no tinge of teasing. She could imagine having kids with him, but then remembering him troubling her. One thing she did know that she likes both Armaan's. She likes him when he is troubling her because she gets to see him laugh which makes her beat faster, and when he is gentle. In all Riddhima likes Armaan even when she thinks that things are going too fast.

The Mallik's have arrived from their home, to the airport, to the hotel, and now are resting with some of their relatives and friends. They all have arrived for the engagement ceremony or roka that is taking place tonight. They didn't have much to do except for some rituals which will be performed at the ceremony, and stuff which were enough to fit one suitcase.

Armaan was glad to earn his parent's forgiveness, but Armaan knows they haven't forgiven him fully. After Armaan gets married Riddhima, he'll have their full forgiveness. After the incident, Billy and Ananya had barely talked to Armaan. This made Armaan angry and he's even injured himself several times because he couldn't control his anger. Armaan hates it when his parent's ignore him. Armaan doesn't have siblings that he could talk to and sometimes Rahul and Atul do help, but not always. Armaan loves his parent's unconditionally and could never see them in pain or hate in their eyes for him.

Armaan, his parent's, and relatives/friends arrive at the hall where the engagement is taking place. He is welcomed by the Gupta's and their relatives. Armaan walks on the stage along with his parent's and sits down on the settee set for him and Riddhima. Pictures and videos were being made. It felt like paparazzi everywhere. This is what happens when someone is getting married. Soon, Riddhima enters with her parent's, her sister, and her cousins. Riddhima is dressed in an off white, full sleeves anarkali dress with lots of sequences that made intricate designs. The right amount of jewelry placed on her which finished the whole look.The dupatta was placed neatly on her shoulder then set on her head. Her eyes were lowered as she walks towards Armaan. Riddhima lifts her eyes up and sees Armaan in the classic, black suit with a white shirt and black tie. His hair falling to his forehead and his gray-blue eyes twinkling. The dimpled smirk directed towards her is set on his lips. The smirk read 'one step to be Mrs. Riddhima Armaan Mallik.' Riddhima could feel her heart thud against her ribs and holds her breath in then lets it out, trying not to make it noticeable. She takes the first step up to the stage when Armaan's hand comes in front of her. Riddhima looks up in Armaan's eyes and sees them looking at her with a soft smile. She takes his hand and Armaan closes his hand around Riddhima's. He helps Riddhima up the steps and Riddhima stands next to him. A session of pictures and videos were taken. Then came time for the ring ceremony.

Ananya gives Armaan the ring box. Armaan opens the box and takes out the engagement ring. He takes Riddhima's left hand and slides it on her ring finger. Riddhima was shocked to see the big, diamond rock on her finger. It must have cost a fortune, but Armaan is the son of a successful business man and he, himself is a business man. Padma hands Riddhima the ring. Armaan had his left hand held out and Riddhima slides the ring on his ring finger. Riddhima takes a look up at Armaan sees him smirk. Riddhima slightly rolls her eyes. He will never change no matter what. Armaan will be soft sometimes, but will come back to his normal self in no time.

"Day by day your coming close to be my wife," Armaan said with same smirk intact. Riddhima frowns and glares at him. He just couldn't stop annoying her. Armaan chuckles and session of pictures and hugs began.

Riddhima is in the corridor of the hall to get some cold air. There were so many people that it was becoming hot. She sighs as she looks at herself in the mirror that was hung up in the corridor. Riddhima sees Armaan emerging from the hall and sitting down on the bench. She saw worry lines on Armaan's forehead and he looked disturbed. This is the first time Riddhima has seen Armaan likes this. This actually made her worried. Riddhima walks over to Armaan.

"Armaan," Riddhima says in a soft, gentle voice. Armaan was startled and looks up. He sees Riddhima looking at him worriedly.

"Tum yahan kya kar rahi ho?" Armaan asks a bit rudely. He didn't notice Riddhima and was glad he didn't do anything, otherwise Riddhima would have seen him.

Riddhima was shocked at Armaan's tone, but doesn't say anything about it. "Main thodi si hawa lene aayi thi. Tum theek ho? Pareshan lag rahe ho."

Armaan realizes the tone he used with Riddhima when it was not her fault for anything. She was just asking if he was okay. "Main theek hoon." After an awkward silence they walk back inside. They were a little surprised that they have gotten engaged. They had met each other about three weeks ago and now are engaged, and in the next two weeks they will be married. Things were rushed, but Riddhima remembers how Billy and Ananya wanted to happen as soon as possible. There was always a question in her mind. Why did they want her and Armaan to get married as quickly as possible?

"How about we have slow dance from Armaan and Riddhima?" Rahul said into the microphone. The guests cheer and hoot for Armaan and Riddhima. From afar Armaan shoots a glare at Rahul who smirks in return. Riddhima felt butterflies in her stomach and looks at Armaan. "Come on Armaan Riddhima!" More cheers and hoots were heard.

Armaan and Riddhima walk to the middle of the dance floor. Armaan puts his hand on Riddhima's waist while the other one held Riddhima's hand. Riddhima's other hand went on Armaan's shoulder. Riddhima reached up only to his lips even with heels on. Riddhima's eyes were on his lips for a while then move up to Armaan's eyes. Armaan wasn't looking at her and was looking somewhere else. Riddhima turns her head in the same direction to see where Armaan is looking at, but there were just people watching them. She looks back up to find Armaan's eyes on her. That kind of scared because he wasn't look at her a second ago and now he is. Riddhima looks deeply into Armaan's eyes and there is so many emotions in Armaan's eyes that Riddhima couldn't tell which one he is feeling right now. She was confused and looks away from his eyes. Riddhima looks back after a while and sees love and pain in his eyes. This bewildered her. What is it that makes Armaan feel love and pain? The song was over and loud applauds were heard. Armaan and Riddhima pull away from each other and smile at the audience.

Riddhima is sitting in the back seat of the car while Shashank and Padma are saying bye to the the guests and Anjali is talking to their cousins. Riddhima hears the door open so she looks up to find Armaan getting in the car. Riddhima gasps. "Armaan tum - "

"Shut up!" Armaan said. Riddhima looks at Armaan with wide eyes. What happened to Armaan? Armaan looks at Riddhima's face and bursts out laughing. Riddhima realizes that he is just playing with her and gets mad.

"Armaan, get out! Ma, Papa, Di aate hi hoge." Riddhima said in a loud voice.

"Tumhare Papa ne mujhe yahan bheja hai," remarks Armaan. Riddhima knits her eyebrows together while looking at Armaan. "I'm serious." Riddhima shakes her head and leans her head back. "Yo!" Riddhima looks at Armaan with tired eyes. Armaan sees Riddhima's tired eyes and decides not to annoy her anymore for today. "See you in two weeks." Armaan pecks Riddhima's cheek softly then gets out of the car. Riddhima was in awe at Armaan's sweet gesture. She blushes and looks down in her lap, smiling shyly. Armaan had kissed her on the cheek. For her felt like a step into their relationship even it being a small step.

Riddhima wakes up. Surprisingly she had a good sleep. Riddhima takes her covers off and walks over to the mirror and runs her hands through her hair. That is when she sees the diamond ring on her left hand, ring finger sparkling. She brings her hand down and looks at her ring. A shy smile forms on Riddhima's lips. Riddhima caresses the ring with her other hand.

"Riddhima, jaldi se tayar ho jao. Armaan aur uski family aa rahe hain," Anjali said, opening the door of the room. Riddhima nods and Anjali walks out. Riddhima felt nervous. She's going in front of them as Armaan's fiance now. Taking out a green anarkali dress, Riddhima walks into the bathroom.

Riddhima walks down the stairs to see all of them have arrived. There was Armaan, his family, Atul and Rahul, and some relatives and other friends. Riddhima feels the butterflies in her stomach building up. She takes a deep breath and walks downstairs to be greeted by a bunch of hey's, kisses and hugs from adults. She walks over and sits next to Anjali and Muskaan.

"Itne saare log," Riddhima says to Muskaan and Anjali with wide eyes.

"Ridzi, yeh saari family nai hai Armaan ki. Shaadi pe aur bhi log honge," Muskaan said with her arm around Riddhima's shoulder.

"Riddhima, jaa ke Ananya aunty se toh milo. Woh Mom ke saath kitchen main hai," Anjali informs. Riddhima nods and walks towards the kitchen. That is when she sees Armaan with his friends and cousins. She sees Armaan turn his head towards her. Riddhima quickly looks straight and enters the kitchen.

"Riddhima!" Ananya says, happy to see Riddhima. Riddhima takes her blessings and hugs Ananya. "Kaise ho?"

"Theek, aunty," Riddhima answers with a smile on her face.

"Bahar chalte hain," Padma said, closing the stove. All three of them walk out in the living room. Padma and Ananya join the ladies while Riddhima joins Anjali, Muskaan, and their cousins. Everyone were in their own conversations and everyone meeting each other from the other families.

Riddhima looks around to find their living room filled. She was kind of surprised to find this many people come from Armaan's side. Riddhima heard that they all came in cars because all of them could not get a ticket to be on the same plane, or the plane was full. Riddhima felt an unknown happiness. She didn't know why she is getting so happy, but she is. Riddhima looks to the other side of the room and watches Armaan. He had a little kid in his lap, probably his cousin, or his cousin's son. Riddhima sees the little kid point at her and Armaan looks up who was looking at the boy. Riddhima's eyes go wide and Armaan smirks at her. All of the guys sitting around Armaan saw this and hooted. Riddhima turns red and turns her head away with a shy smile on her lips. She puts her fingers against her forehead to hide her face from them. This is even more embarrassing than what Anjali and Muskaan did to her.

After a while, Riddhima looks at Armaan again. She sees him looking at her. Riddhima looks around to see if anyone is watching them. Riddhima looks back at Armaan. From far she could see the depth of his eyes. It's like she can drown in them, and drowning would feel like heaven in Armaan's eyes. Riddhima looks away, controlling her feelings that have started to get out of control whenever she hears Armaan's name or sees him.

Things are going a bit fast, I know. From now it will show the progress in Armaan and Riddhima's relationship.

Awesome update... I wanna know armaan's secret what is he hiding I don't wnt rids to get hurts she is soo happy ...hope armaan tells her everything as soon as possible
