Maan came back awhile later with their tickets and sat down beside Geet.

Her heart beat fast as soon as he sat near her... She bit her lip in embarassement... How would she tell him?

"Geet tum theek ho?" asked Maan.

"Nahin... Haan...nahin...haan..haan main main theek hoon" replied Geet.

"Geet kya hua?" asked Maan.

Geet turned to face him and he looked quite concerned...

"Maan main aapse kuch kehna chahati hoon" said Geet.

"Kya?" asked Maan...

"I..I um..." stuttered Geet.

"Geet kya?" asked Maan again...

Geet bit her lip

She turned away and said, " Kuch nahin...Kuch..kuch nahin Maan..."

Maan replied, " Theek hain Geet..."

Geet sighed and then an announcement for Hoshiyarpur station came. Geet got up and Maan did as well.

They rushed into the train and Maan helped Geet into the train... They went into their personal compartment and Geet settled in.

"Geet kya kehna chahrahi thi tum?"Asked Maan.

"Kuch nahin Maan choriye" replied Geet as she fished through her phone.

"Hello Chandini?!?" said Geet loudly.

Maan closed his ears, " GEET...talk quietly!"

Geet let out a smile and she inched the phone away... Chandini was yelling at her from the end of the line...

"KAMEENI..PAGAL..IDIOT.. STUPID... KAHAAN THI TU!?!! TUJHE ANDAAZA HAIN!? YOUR PAPA

SENT THE POLICE IN DELHI AFTER YOU...AND IN HOSHIYARPUR!" roared Chandini.

"Chandu...listen, meri galti hain aur mujhe pata hain kay papa mujhse baat nahin karenge... tu chill kar main aarahi hoon." replied Geet.

"YOU BETTER MAKE IT HEAR GEET HANDA OR ELSE I WON'T STICK UP FOR YOU ANYMORE!" roared Chandini.

Geet heard Arjun in the background telling her to calm herself...

Chandini was a calm person... but Geet definitely put her into a fix. " You better drag your behind here..your papa and maa are so worried Geet..."

"Did that Abhinav get away?" asked Geet.

"Yes he did Geet...woh chala gaya...tere papa ko uski asliyaat pata ho gayi thi..." replied Chandini.

"Thank God...aur ghussa ki halat?" asked Geet.

"He is flaming mad...but you know when he sees you...unka saara ghussa thanda ho jaata hain" replied Chandini.

"I know...papa is the best...acha maa?" asked Geet.

"She is not feeling well...tu bus aaja Geet..."replied Chandini. " Arahi hoon...take care of maa and papa Chandu..."

"Acha bye Geet...I'll see you" replied Chandini.

Geet shut the phone and she looked at Maan who seemed to be looking outside through the windows.

She bit her lip and said, " Maan..."

Maan turned his attention away from the window and said, " Hm?"

"I LOVE YOU" said Geet suddenly.

She put her hand on her mouth suddenly and Maan looked at her shocked, " Geet? What the hell?"

She bit her lip and took her hand off of her mouth and breathed in and breathed out... and finally said,

" I love you Maan...I love you very much...jaane anjaane...inn dino main...you've grown so close to me kay mujhe pata nahin chala kay kab main aapse pyar karne lagi...ek lamhaa bhi aapke bina main nahin seh sakti"

Maan sat there just listening...

" If you don't love me... then I..I.. we'll just be friends! I'm not a chipkoo type at all..." added Geet quickly.

Maan looked up and took a deep breath.

He closed his eyes and all he could see in front of him was Geet...her smile, laughter... and their moments together.

But then... Maan could not love Geet...He could not be with her. Their marriage was a mistake...a horrible mistake...

Maan was quiet for almost a few minutes and immediately... Geet felt tears rolling down her eyes...

She wiped her tears and said, " Aapka jawab mil gaya Maan... "

He opened up his eyes and looked in her direction. She held out her hand in friendship, " Dosti?"

He looked at her pleading and hurt eyes...his heart broke to see her in such a condition because of him. Maan knew that he loved Geet so much...but he couldn't...he wouldn't dare.

He shook hands, " Of course..."

Geet swallowed hard and smiled through the tears, " You're going to make me look like a cry baby..."

She wiped her tears and Maan offered her a water bottle. She drank some water and then cuddled to the corner of her seat.

She leaned her head in and closed her eyes and drifted off into sleep.

Maan watched her fall asleep and he wanted to punish himself for putting her through this. This is exactly why Maan shut out his feelings for any girl he was attracted to.
