The staff were petrified.They had seen the worst of Maan Singh Khurana .They had seen him as an angry lion,a witty fox,a ferocious tiger,a calm rabbit,a happy peacock and as a fast cheetah.What they had seen today was completely different.There was something in his eyes-an unknown glint.

Geet gulped down her saliva and shot a quick prayer to God and marched towards the staff meeting room.

Maan sat on his chair and smiled in content.He was satisfied and as he closed his eyes,the familiar pair of eyes came into his vision.He relaxed a bit never wanting to open his eyes.

His lips carved into a smile and he dozed off...

Geet decided to grab a sandwich before heading to meet him and went to the cafe.

Adi,Sasha,Preeti,Jai and Pinki were seated on a round table when Adi said,"Hey there's Geet..VK's friend"

All heads turned towards Geet and Sasha whispered something to all that drained the color from their face.

"No ways!VK will kill me!"Adi said.

"Oh cmon AS..It's fun"Sasha said and reluctantly the others agreed.

Sasha went towards Geet who was standing at the counter and spilt the orange juice she had in her hand on her shoes and said,"Oops!Sorry babes!"and winked at Geet.

Geet was furious.Noone had ever dared to behave this way.She grabbed a ketchup bottle in front of her and squeezed it over Sasha's head and said,"Sorry darling..Didn't mean to!"

Sasha was first shocked and then grinned at Geet and extended her hand,"It's Sasha Saxena!"

Geet accepted her gesture and said,"Geet Handa!"

Sasha led Geet to the table and introduced everyone as Jai Kashyap,Aditya Sinha,Pinki Manchanda,Tasha and Preeti Malhotra.

Geet sat along with them and they had their snack and checking the time they all went to meet Maan to discuss for the meeting..

"Bhabhi?!"the others chorused as Ann realised what she had said.

"woh..he..he..It's B..Bh..haan..Bhadru kaka!!I'm sorry guys..It was a slip of my tongue,"She said and gulped as the others glared at her.

"Don't u ever think of lying to us,Anvesha Khurana!"Neha said as Ann grinned slyly and then held her head doen knowing that she'd never be able to lie to them.

Sasha went to his cabin to call him that they were ready and witnessed the greatest shock of her life!

Maan was sleeping peacefully resting on the chair.It was a long time that she'd seen him sleep so peacefully.Though the Saxenas and the Khuranas were staunch rivals,she and Maan shared a great friendship.They studied in the same school and college.

She knew Maan inside out just like Adi.They were the best buddies in the college.Sasha had stopped speaking to Maan when he crushed the Saxena technologies by buying the greatest amount of shares.She decided to wake him up and cleared her throat.

Maan didn't respond.She said to herself,"duffer..abhi bhi uss Maan ke tarah hai..tum na..kabhi nahi sudhroge Maan..kabhi bhi nahi!"

She smiled and went close to his ear and shouted "Maan!"

Maan woke up startled and glared at Sasha with furious eyes but he slowly smiled knowing that only she could do that.He stood up and said to her,"So Ms.Shararati,Am I forgiven?"

"Not so soon Mr.Sher!!Till you find your perfect girl!"and she winked at him.

Maan felt the familiar pain engulf him but shook his thoughts and said slowly,"I'm so sorry Sasha..I know Uncle was already grieved by aunty's death..and I took hold of the company..Trust me sasha,If I'd not done it,then the Thompson's would have taken hold of it.I should have explained"

Sasha went towards him and placed a hand over his shoulder,"I'm sorry too..I should not have yelled at you."

Maan smiled and said,"So Miss.Saxena,Ready for my friendship again?"

"You bet!"she said as she accepted his handshake.

"Very Good!!Just perfect!"a man said.

Sasha and Maan turned towards the sound and found Adi glaring at them.Maan quickly went towards him and said,"Kya hai Mr.Chashmah?".

Sasha giggled and Adi's mouth opened in horror.

"Dude,You're dead!"Adi said and Maan laughed out loud and hugged Adi.

"Group hug guys?"Sasha asked as the two men joined her in their embrace.

All the events were watched by Geet as she smiled and left for the meeting with a smile.

Somehow,she knew,he was changing..

Every detail was discussed in the meeting and Maan completed saying,"....And the final decision regarding the panel's color will be submitted by tomorrow.And this will be the last project of our company in which men and women will be working together.Lastly,I want Ms.Handa to meet me in my cabin.You may all leave"

Everybody left and Maan came towards Geet and whispered in her ear,"Be prepared to face the lion!"and walked away but not before stopping at the doorway and winking at her.

She gulped her saliva and knocked at the door.An authorative "Come In!"welcomed her inside.She went inside and Maan said,"Lock the door"She patiently obeyed.

Maan closed his laptop and stood up and came in front of her and crossed his arms across his chest.

"So someone is afraid,hm?"He asked.

"For what??Geet Handa is never afraid of anything!"she replied casually gazing away from him.Those words made him angrier.He grabbed her by her arm and jerked her close.

"You're afraid of being addressed as Mrs.Geet Maan Singh Khurana,right?"he asked her smirking and his hands unknowingly wrapped around her waist and brought her close.

Geet's mouth opened in shock."Excuse me,mister.It's you who is afraid of introducing me as your wife."she said.

Maan brought her closer and said huskily,"I'm not afraid of anyone!"

Geet wound her hands around his neck without knowing as he comfortably made his grip tight on her waist.Unable to move her face away Geet's eyes interlocked with his and the time froze..

Maan couldn't help himself but gaze into those black round eyes..

When he felt his eyes locked in hers,he could feel an unknown warmth spreading..There was peace in those eyes and another special emotion which he couldn't decipher.

Those pair of eyes were meant for him as if they were the remedy for his pain..

He felt himself exploring the depths of those pair of eyes..

Behind that beautiful pair of eyes,there was a slight hint of pain..

He felt his lips turn into a frown..He wanted to know what her pain was..He wanted to soothe the pain..But sadly,he wondered,"Will she ever open up to me?"

She found herself getting lost in those eyes.They were filled with pain-a strange pain..

She knew about his past but she wanted him to tell her..

She tried comforting him that she loves him and would be with him always..But still there was pain in his eyes..

His pain caused her pain and she felt a tear drop rolling down,sensing that whatever she does,he would live with the pain..

Maan's trance was broken as he felt a tear drop escape her eyes..He felt an unbearable pain in heart.He reached his hand to wipe away the drop and when he wiped it away,he could feel that she shivered and tightened her hold around his neck.

He caressed her cheek.They were so soft..He brought her still close not allowing anything to come between them such that their body was touching eachother..

She closed her eyes in pleasure and tightened her hold around his neck further..

He brought his finger to her lips and gently caressed them..They were too soft-just like petals..He was losing himself in insanity..

Unable to take it more,he bent down and slowly captured her lips in his...
