15 DAYS LATER

Winter had started to set in.She could sense the change in the wind.It was chilly too.Ever since Maan had joined their gang,they had a lot of masti.She never guessed a person like him could enjoy too much.It had turned out that Steve and Daniel were also doin their MBA which meant maan joining them always.

It was Rebecca,who had suggested a new name for their gang called THE DONS.

Her thoughts broke when she saw some kids running around backside of the college.She got up from the bed and walked towards the window to see a middle aged man chasing his daughter,she guessed maybe 5-7 yrs old around.She could see her own dad chasing her and her sister...

"One,two,...ten..Here I come"Rajesh screamed to his daughter.

"Oh God,di!papa is bound to see us if we hide beneath the bed!"Geet said worried to her sister,Tara.

"Shh!!Geet don't talk or else papa will surely find us!"she said in hushed tones but it was too late as she felt someone tap her shoulder.She let out a gasp as she knew her dad had found her.

"agar tum dono ki baat khatam hogayi,can u pls start to seek us tara?"Rajesh asked while geet giggled.

"Papa hw can u win all the time?"she questioned back.

"mmm...let me see if u guys hide in the same place then I sure have to find u!"he said smiling at tara who was busy glaring at Geet while Geet hung her head low.

"Okay...Here I go!"tara said as she made her way out..

Geet went to hide behind the curtains while Rajesh made his way towards the kitchen.

Renuka was bus kneading the atta when she felt someone hug from behind.She smiled knowing who it was.

"Raj!aap bhi na!kuch toh sharam keejiye..We've 2 kids aged 13 and 5 and still u don't forget to romance with me in front of them"she said as he tightened his grip.

"Kya karoon Renu?You look soo tempting that I always love to have u in my arms.Don't worry I've locked the door of the kitchen and Tara will be busy seeking Geet although she is hiding behind the curtains."he said as Renu smile trying to ignite the stove with the lighter and suddenly-

BOOM!!!

The gas cylinder burst!

Tara who had found Geet was shocked by the noise and ordered Geet not to leave the place and ran towards the source of the noise.

"Tara,Geet,run from here!!!"Raj yelled for his daughters as he sensed the fire spreading over the house.

"Papa!please try to come out!Open the door papa!"Tara screamed as she continued to tap the door and finally she was successful in breaking the door and then again a loud boom.

Geet was alarmed.She heard her di and dad screaming.

"didi!please where are u??I'm scared!"she said as she slowly got down the stairs.

Tara shouted,"Geet run from here!!Please!!Dont stay here.Just go out."

Geet sensed the alarm in her voice as Tara yelled again,"Dont wait for us,we will come out soon."

Geet ran out and in the process hit the table causing their family picture to fall down and the glass shattered.

She picked up the photo and ran out.

She watched the house being destroyed in flames.But she waited for Tara and others to come out.

But no one came.She stood there watching the house getting burnt into ashes.

Rain started pouring.The rain drops made no difference as they mixed with her tears and reached the lawn grass on which she was standing.

That day Geet Handa became an orphan.

She still remembered what happened after that.

Life is never the same after You have lost your loved ones,isn't it?

She was taken to her paternal aunt Malini Rathod's house.

She met her cousins,the twins,aged 8-Sameera Rathod and Arjun Rathod.

She longed for love but couldn't get any.She was sent to a boarding school at the mere age of 5.She didn't even come home for the vacations.

Her aunt hated the sight of her and that was why she hated going there.She had last met her cousins at her sixth birthday when she'd gone there to receive blessings from her nanimaa.She ended up getting bullied by them so badly that she wished to die along with her family that day.

She had tears in her eyes as she looked at the family photo and whispered,"I miss u guys!"

NEXT DAY-AT STARBUCKS

TIME:10.30 AM.(Saturday)

As usual Maan had joined them.It was surprising that Shane was there too.Rachel kept on looking at him which left Steve annoyed and irritated.

"Rach!what the hell has happened to you?Why r u looking at him?"he asked her.

"Excuse me Mr.Steve McOnnel,What right do you have over me??"she retorted back angrily.

"Rachel,I'm your brother!Its my duty to protect you!"he replied.

"So??I think I love him."she confessed collecting gasps from all in the table.

"R u mad??He is one of the richest persons in NY and we?We are from Tennesse!You don't deserve him."he said making sense.

They kept on arguing back and forth while the others looked at them.

Maan looked at Geet who was lost in their argument and also had tears in her eyes.He frowned.

"Woh dono bahuth pyari haina Geet?"Maan whispered with his lips dangerously close to her ears.

She jerked and replied slightly dazed,"haan!"

Maan nodded and while taking his face away form hers,placed a peck on her cheeks and sat back properly with a smirk.

She froze.She looked back at him who was unaffected.
