So should I or should I not write in first person??

I'm planning to write now but I'm still confused!🤔

As a writer, I'm really comfortable with 3rd person because it gives you a chance to cover more than one person although selectively :P

But I'd love to see AEIP in first person now and then! And if you can write in first person I bow down 🤔 I tried it for Isa...and I found it very tough. Don't let that stop you though, you might be awesome with it, like Shru! :)

Pssht! Not to feed her ego, but SS is REALLY good at it! 😆I'm never gonna be that good, or good at all! 😳But I'm on double thoughts right now, I know it's difficult, but I wanna try but then again, third person is always more informative and to the point!!

I'll do that! Though I've already told you the story!

And you're Gujarati right?? Just for clarifying, "Che" wasn't the Gujju word, it's an italian thingy which the people here use a lot! what it means, I've no idea!

^^I have no idea why I said that but I guess my holidays finishing is taking a toll on me!!

I know I already know the plot et al. I meant, tell me exactly how you're going to be writing stuff down in first person! I find it easy because I write the way I look at things, LOL, no wonder Riddhima's like me :S

But yea.. There were instances in the flashback part of AWOTB where I wrote from the 3rd person perspective.. I found that a bit complicated in fact.. Even BTHE to an extent, because I have to think from a girl and a guy's PoV!

See.. You have to weigh this out - If you write in first person, will you be able to do justice to both the protagonists? In this story, its obviously essential to know both their perspectives.

In AWOTB, the main problem lies in the fact that no one gets to know what Armaan is thinking. Earlier I struggled with that, but then I decided it was too late to change styles, so I'll just write the story in a way where his character becomes an interesting mystery. That's how I tackled the issue. Sometimes I just itch to write something from Armaan's PoV, because I can't describe Riddhima too well from his perspective.. If you must have noticed, the only way you know about Riddhima, is through her behavior, there's nothing else indicative of her personality.. I can't cover what her parents, his parents, Rhea, Armaan, all of them think about her, et al. So its tricky, and sometimes I don't like that AT ALL!

So until and unless you're ready to compromise on that aspect of your story, you can opt for 1st person..

So you'll have to weigh it out.. You mentioned writing from Armaan's PoV! It would do great for the story, it really would, but at the same time, you'll have to think about how much footage Riddhima will be getting, and how far will you be able to display Riddhima's opinions.. I couldn't display a lot about Armaan's opinions, his personality and his thoughts, as a result of which I have to resort to stuff like Mobile Notes, and Big Bang Confrontations just to show what he's feeling! I compromise a lot on that!

So just think it through clearly, first!
