I never Knew...Until
Hey am choco, I know I have an FF to write, but still my crazy brain has come up with this. It was supposed to be one shot, I guess now its going to be a two shot😆. It's a simple sweet story. Hope u enjoy reading it as I enjoyed writing it by imagining my ArSh. So here it goes'. Please leave ur comments
Girl ' "why r u so late, where were u I have been waitng for u from so long" she was hell angry as everyone in the school left long ago
Boy ' "sorry shona that soniya was bugging me again with her nonsense talk"
Girl ' "so wat, cant u tell her that I will be waiting here"
Boy ' "If I would have said that she will bug me more, now come on lets go start walking, u forgot the way to home or wat"
Gilr- "hmm get lost I don't need u , I can go all by myself" she started walking fast leaving him behind
Boy ' "oh god now what did I say" he started running to catch upto her. " wat r u so fuzzy abt its just 15min late"
Girl- "whatever get lost from tomorrow, I will be going alone, I don't want u" she ran fast and into her house without even saying bye
Boy ' "Hey shona leave it na from tomorrow I am not going to be late" he followed her into livingroom.
Girl ' "mom say to this dumbo that am not going to talk to him" she crossed her arms jumped up and sat on the counter where her mom was cooking his favorite dish again
Boy ' "aunty aap bhi bolona ismain mera koi galthi nahi ye sab us soniyaki vajah se hua hai"
Padma ' "arey isko chodo tu garam garam aloo parata khavo" and handed him a plate
Boy ' " nahi aunty ye tab mujhse baat karengi tab bhi main kaavonga" and just left the kitchen to the living room
Gilr- " why do u always make his favourite food" and took the plate from her mother's hand and she left to living room. She saw sitting in the sofa and just flipping the channels with a pout on his face.
Girl -"ab jyadha tamasha nahi. Chup chap ye khalo"
Boy ' "mujhe nahi khana hai" and he moved the other way
Girl ' "maine kahana khalo" and she went the other side carrying the plate
Boy- "Tumne mujhe maaf kiya na"
Girl ' "nahitho"
Boy- "I am not going to talk to u"
Girl- "ok fine whatever u like" she went to her room angrily
Boy ' "fine get lost as if I care" he rushed out of her house and to his home which is just the opposite of her house
She went to her room and took a shower and wore her mickey mouse pj's and started doing her homework. She was hell angry and muttering somethng under her breath. Padma came and asked her to have her dinner she just asked "Did that dumbo eat anything"
Padma - " no he left as soon as u came up"
Girl- "am not hungry I don't want to eat" padma know its waste in pleading her as he can only make her eat again.
The boy came again after 1 hour and went to padma.
Boy- "Aunty did she had her food". Padma just nodded a no he just took the plate put two paratas and went to her room. Without even knocking he went and sat beside her who was cursing somethng. He just knew her she wont eat if they had a fight. He just tore a piece and took it to her mouth. She just looked at him and took another piece and took it to his mouth. They both fed each other.
Girl- "wat took u so long to come, I was dying with hunger here" She smacked him on his shoulder
Boy ' "hey it hurts, by the way I was angry on you"
Girl- She gave a quick peck on his cheek " Is my dumbo still angry"
Boy ' He showed his perfect dimples and pulled her towards himself "not anymore shona, u know I can never be angry on u for long"
Padma just came in. That's y u take advantage of this poor boy. "mom y do u always support him,remember 6 years before u and dad had a daughter not a son and unfortunately that's me"
Padma"bahut hogayi teri badmashi ab jaldi se homework finish karo, phir soja. Good night princess. She gave a quick peck to both of them and left
Boy ' " u didn't finish ur homework till now"
Girl ' "then u finished it or wat"
Boy ' "well today I didn't have much so its done"
Girl ' "ok now help me with this then we can sleep"
When they are done with their homework, they both slept on the same bed cuddling, fighting and finally slept holding each other.
Padma just came to take a look at each other, who were sleeping peacefully without any worries.
She just smiled as she remembered the day they moved here. She was 6 months pregnant with their princess. They became friends with the Malliks who reside just opposite of their house. Ananya helped her a lot in the household work as she was unable to do a lot with the pregnancy. Both shanshank and Billy Mallik got so well with each other. They started a business together and now as the beautiful years gone by, they cherished those memories to the core as she became their lucky charm. Everything is so perfect now. When we came here Ananya and Billy had already have a boy, Armaan Mallik who was 1 year old. He was very active boy and mingled with everyone so nicely. He used to come to me and ask if he can talk to the baby. I don't know I just adored that boy so much. My princess has got a friend even before she came to this world. He used to do his babyish talk. He was jumping up when he saw her for first time. He asked wats her name. we said "Shilpa". Its good but he made a face and said I don't like it much..hmm.. He touched her cheek "ur name is "Shona Mallik". Everyone laughed at his cute expressions. Ananya - "beta ye mallik nahi hai Malhotra hai". That was just the start. He was with her in evry moment of her life. Now he is 8 years and my princess 6 years. They both fight a lot and both pamper each other a lot. The bond they shared is so beautiful . she wondered wats going to happen when they grow, coz it cant be the same in coming years. Now they are kids who are oblivious to their surroundings and the cruel world around them. She called up Ananya to inform them that their son had slept in their house. Even before she could say she heard" I know that boy is sleeping again with her right" Padma smiled and said "ya"
An ' I don't know when I can put some sense into his crazy brain"
Pa- "its ok they are just kids now"
An ' "He is going to drive me nuts some day". They talked for some more time and went to bed.
Next morning he woke up and gave a quick peck on her cheek and said " Good morning Shona" . She just smiled and hugged him more. He just smiled at her but the next moent she woke up with a scream, " u removed ur shirt again today also, yuck how many times I have said not to remove ur shirt" " shona u know I cant sleep with the shirt on" and pulled her again to himself" she just pulled out and said "whatever go and get ready now".
He went to his house. He saw her mom in the kitchen and shouted from back "Booo"
Ananya screamed and turned to find her badmaash son who was giving his dimple smile to her.
How she loved this naughty boy of hers. She just ruffled his hairs and kissed on his forehead. She was abt to say something "oh mom not again" "But u need to know beta, u both are growing its not going to be the same. U should not sleep'. " But before she could complete he said" oh mom she is my shona and I have been doing this as long as I remember now wat wrong in that, and by the way I cant sleep without her"
Her mom sighed "its never going to be easy to make her son understand somethng"
Days, weeks and years have passed by now he is 14 years and she is 12 years old. Things hadn't changed much. Now they fight more, now they care more abt each other. Nobody should come their way. She wore only capris, jeans and shirts like him, they go around everywhere like two boys. They stand for each other whenever the other one in trouble. Its a routine he always sleeps with her holding her to himsel. He woke up and gave a quick peck on her cheek. She woke up "oh not again how many times I have to tell u to wear a shirt" He grinned and by pulling her he hugged her tightly and she started screaming chii chi yuck leave me dumbo wear a shirt and hug me I don't '.". before she could complete he started tickling her. They both heard padma"utgaye dono badmaash" and their day started with each other and ended with each other.
Finally the day came when padma and Ananya both strictly said that he cant sleep with her anymore. He was so upset and angry on them. He called her and said " If he cant come to her house then she can come to his house"
Sh '" I don't think so dumbo, mom never scolded or shouted at me, it's the first time she yelled at me when I was abt to argue with her." She was hiccupping there with all the crying
Ar ' "get lost. I am not going to talk to u " he cut the call abruptly
Already she was so confused with her sudden change in her body and that so called period. She felt very tired with all the crying, as her mom yelled at her for the first time. Now that he is also upset. She didn't eat anything just slept on the floor. Suddenly when she woke up she got scared to be alone and looked for armaan then went to her mom's room and started saying "mom mujhe armaan ke pass sona hai. Mujhe akelemein '.". Even before she could complete her mom called and asked her to sleep with her. She hugged her mother and slept like a baby.
Here he was not getting any sleep, he is continuously turning on the bed. He is hitting the pillow and cursing everyone. He suddenly went out to his dad's gym area and started doing evrythng which was there in the room. His mom woke up in the night to check up on him as it's the first day he is sleeping alone without her . He was not in his room she was scared and was abt to go to her house when she found light in the gym area. She went there and was shocked to see his son sleeping on the floor all cuddled up. She felt so bad but he needs to come out of it as they are no more kids. They are growing up fast. She was so worried abt him as all day he didn't eat anything and didn't talk to anyone.
Next morning he woke up and just had a quick shower and went out without even seeing anyone. Ananya called padma to ask whether he had come to their house.
Shilpa lifted the phone "hey dumbo good morning ab gussa khatam hogaya ya nahi. Maine kuch nahi kaaya tum avoona, mujhe bahut bhook lag rahi hai"
Ananya ' " beta main aunty hu who main utnese pehele kahi chala gaya. Maine socha wo tumhari ghar mein hoga, isliye .."
Sh ' "nahi aunty wo nahi aayi"
An ' "its ok u go and hav ur breakfast and get ready to school, main rakhthi hu"
Shilpa just went to padma and said a quick bye and left to school without taking any food. Padma know her daughter too well to stop her.
She went to his classroom to talk to him , but he just acted as if he was busy. Still she went to him and called him to talk but he shoved her off and went aside and started flirting with a girl. The bell rang so she went to her class. She was crying and didn't had anything so in the afternoon she felt dizzy. Her friends had taken her to the doctors room in the school, where the doc had given her juice and some tablets and told her to take rest for sometime and then to go home. She just nodded and closed her eyes.
By evening he became restless. He thought he will avoid her, so she will agree to him, but this is causing him more pain so he went to her class before the last class of the day. Was shocked to find out abt her. He rushed to see her who lay on the small bed in the doctors office room looking so pale.He felt a sudden pain in his chest by looking at her like that. He scooped her into his arms and held tightly. He felt as if he is going to lose his breath if he didn't held her in his arms. Once she came into his arms, he felt angry on himself for making her upset when she was also already upset abt this whole thing. He felt her sobbing and closed his eyes feeling the pain. In between sobs " I am hungry dumbo, can we go home" . He instantly pulled her out and was abt to ask rather scold her " u know dumbo I cant eat when u are angry on me so no more yelling, can we go home now" He just shakes his head and gives a peck on her forehead and they both walked back to their homes. He stayed with her like usual and both finished their homeworks but he came to his house to sleep. He went to his mom and hugged her tight and said" am sorry mom I know I have hurt u also, I will not behave like that" Then his dad came and pat him on his shoulder " yo son we know u better than urself, so don't worry abt anything just enjoy ur life son, we are always with u" He just loved his family so much. He felt bad for hurting them. So they had their meal together with some fun moments and retired to his room. He assured his mom that he is fine. He tried to sleep but he couldn't . Finally after struggling he slept at around 3 and woke up again at 5. He never thought a day will come where his shona wont be with him when he woke up. He hated sleep now. So again he went to gym. This has become his daily routine. It became his stress buster. An another year has passed now, he is going to highschool and his shona still goes to school. Days are becoming so complicated for both of them. Now they hardly get any time to spend with each other.But somehow they see each other at least once a day. They have become busy with their schedules and different timings. But they meet every Sunday and talk abt their whole week.
He became so popular and now he has become a hot hunk of highschool. Every girl was dying to go out with him. He started dating like everyone in his age. This made their life further apart from each other as he used to go out on Sundays with his date. Its been three years but still he cant sleep in the night and hardly sleeps. One day when he was out with his date in a restaurant. He saw his shona sitting and laughing heartily with some guy. He went up to them with his date, Shilpa instantly got up and hugged him and said "oh god dumbo its been long I missed u, I know its just yesterday, silly me " He is so happy to see her but something didn't feel right then he knew y, coz the next moment she said " Meet my boyfriend'." dats all he was able to hear then the next words didn't matter to him. He was upset so upset that he just pulled her out from there and walked away. She was struggling in his strong hold to release her hand. He just took her to his home and to his room and pushed her hardly on his bed. "Hey dumbo wats wrong y r u so upset and angry"
Ar ' " wats wrong with me, wats wrong with u shona, u have a boyfriend?"
Sh- "wats wrong in that he is just a boy who is my friend, he gets irritated when I call him boyfriend so I just call him that, to irritate him more and anyways it's a long story"
Ar- "I don't understand, u just stay away from boys"
Sh- " hey don't u order me, u know I don't like that"
Ar- shona " r u saying that u r not going to listen to me?"
Sh- "yes dumbo" with hands on her hips
Ar- SHONA
Sh- yes dumbo
Ar- shona
Sh- yes dumbooo
Suddenly the serious environment changed into a funny one by calling their names. They just laughed at each other and he sat beside her, then pulled her up into his lap. As she raised her eyebrows, he just shrugged it off. They both laughed at their silly expressions.
Sh- "dumbo am going to start my projects and courses from next week, so will be busy, I know u are also busy with ur final year in highschool, basketball and not to forget ur dates" she chuckled at the last one "I guess we wont be able to talk more in the coming days" Her voice became low at the end and put her arms around his neck and buried her head in the crook of his neck.
Ar ' who was listening to her suddenly went stiff with her moment. He as usual neglected those feelings and pulled her more into himself. Well he was already worried they hardly spent time but now with her high school she is going to be more occupied. "hmmm" was all he could say. He was more worried but he is not good at expressing.
Sh ' she removed her hands and pulled out her head from his neck and got up from his lap"wats with the hmm, anyways forget it. I wanted to ask u, as u are expert in these matters"
Ar- He pulled her back again into his lap "wats the matter shona, dumbo is at ur service"
Sh- "well this guy is asking me out from the start day of highschool well its like 3 months now. Wat shld I say" . He unknowingly held her waist tightly and pulled her more into himself
Sh- " well forget it, my friends told me but I want to ask u, wat does we do in the date"
Ar- Suddenly he is feeling a pain in his chest, but as usual he neglected it and told her " its nothing just a simple dinner/lunch and talk abt their families/ personal interests.
Sh- "I know but my friends said abt the kiss and hug part, u didn't say anything abt that"
Ar- He raised his eyebrows really up with a stern look and directly looking into her eyes "don't u dare do any such stupid things" he closed his fingers into fists to reduce his bubbling anger.
Sh ' "anyways am really not interested in all that, I think I am going to say yes to that guy for the date if its just eating and talking, wat say"
Ar- "hmm" was all he could say again. How can he tell her to say no, when he is going out on so many dates. Only he knows y he is doing that. Being a hunk and basketball champion and also studious he needs to do this for showoff stuff otherwise his so called friends are going to tease him forever and make him look like a looser or rather gay which he really cant think off.
Ananya came up to the room and the knock on the door made shilpa to stand and went to open the door. Ananya was pleasantly surprised to see her and engulfed her in a hug "Come down we all will have dinner"
Sh- "yup aunty, come on dumbo"
Ar- He is so going to miss her whenever he thinks of his graduation and MBA, he is so scared of losing her to his ambitions. He sighed and just followed her to enjoy the present moments.
Another year had gone in to their beautiful memories. Though they both are busy but still somehow they managed to see and talk to each other for atleast 5min a day. well there wasn't any time limit to their meetings if one had free time then they help the other one with their work. If one is out of station then they will be continuously on their phone. Sometimes he used to wonder how come they are never at loss of words or topics to talk to each other. As usual he was successful in avoiding the strange feelings he used to feel around shilpa. As the days goes by, his strange feelings are have become so often but somehow he managed them so well. Actually he himself don't know wats happening to him.
Then came the dreadful day, he was leaving for his graduation. She has been crying all night holding him. The tears are not on his cheeks like her but the pain he was feeling was far more to show in tears. He needs to be strong for her. Ar ' "Shhh shona stop crying u know we can talk daily and even see each other, I told aunty to have an internet connection so stop crying pls"
Sh ' "but I cant feel u "
Ar- She said that with such innocence without knowing the depth of those words and how they are affecting him. That one sentence was enough for him to break down. He held her so tightly as tears made their way out. Finally padma aunty came and took shilpa away from his hold.
Ar ' "wish me good luck shona and I will be back in holidays. U will not cry and came close to her and whispered in her ear "and no dating", he said the last one with a stern look. She just kissed his cheek and he hugged her, kissed her on the forhead for the last time and left without even glancing back.
