Heya guysss. Back with part 2. Comment if you liked it. I know the story's moving a bit slowly but don't worry cos in the next bit there's a bit of a bomb coming up and Shyam will be disappearing in about one or two parts so you won't have to handle the evil man anymore! Enjoy :)
Part Two
It could be windy, raining or snowing for all Khushi could care. Nothing could dampen her mood today. Her Jiji and Buaji were planning on returning to Lucknow that day which could only mean one thing. JALEBIS GALORE! Without her sister and Buaji in the house, she could make all the jalebis in the world! She couldn't wait to get home from work. She'd sit there all day and throughout the night frying and eating, frying and eating till she was so moti that one day she'd just sit on that khadoos boss of hers and squash him till he was as flat as a roti!
Shyam sat there. He'd decided to leave her forever and return to his wife. Although his last night with her would have to be something special. Something which would pleasure him. Even if he had to use force on her. He didn't care what he had to do. One last night then he'd never see her again in his entire life. He'd take Anjali away from Delhi, away from Lucknow to somewhere where Khushi would never be seen. Just one night. Suddenly he heard a knock on his door.
"Saale sahib aap yahan kya kar rahe hain? Aaye aaye bethiyen. Kuch chahiye? Juice, chai, coffee. Abhi mangwaleta hoon!" he said in a startled tone
"Nahin jeejaji. Bus di ne aapko yeh tiffin dene ki liye kahan toh mein yahan chala aya. Chalta hoon ab. Bye" And without another word he left the cabin.
He climbed down the stairs to his car when suddenly in his car mirror he saw a brightly dressed girl walking his way. Her plait bounced up and down as she walked along the busy roads of Delhi. Suddenly she jumped as a rickshaw driver horned at her for getting in his way. She didn't let him leave before letting him hear a few words even if it was her fault! Her eyes widened as she saw her favourite food. A jalebi stall to her right. She stood there eating and eating and eating. How on earth did her tiny figure manage to stay like this when she ate so much. Her dress clung to her curves perfectly and as he watched her eat unknowingly a small smile played on his lips and he got lost again in this dream world where nothing around him existed apart from her and him. Khushi Kumari Gupta done something weird to him and he knew that this feeling wouldn't be disappearing any time soon. He broke out of his spell when he realised that he didn't want to see her out of the office as well as in the office.
"Arnav. Control yourself. Apne aap pe kaboo rakho. Yeh who ladki hain jisse tum nafrat karte hon. Aise mat dekha karo usse. Kaam pein dhyan rakho." And with that he got into to his car and drove off.
All full up she paid the jalebiwala and entered Shyams' office.
"BAPRE BAAP! ITNA BADA OFFICE! Pura ka pura Lucknow isme bas sakta hain. Aur itne saare kamre. Wow humare desh mein itne saare problems hain, ke itne saare lawyers ki zaroorat padti hain? Agar hum hote nah, to hum to sab logo ko ek meethi si jalebi khila dete. Sab kuch theek ho jata!" and with this second genius idea of hers in one morning she flashed a large smile walked up to the receptionist and asked for Shyam Jha.
"16th floor and its office number 1657"
"KYA! ITNI SAARI SEEDIYA CHADHNI PADIGE MUJHE! Chalo accha hain ke mein jalebiyan khaake aayi hoon" she exclaimed and walked off.
The receptionist just glared at the vibrantly dressed woman who was now stomping off into the distance and then got back to work.
Huffing and puffing Gupta finally reached Shyams office. Bursting in she slomped herself on the chair handed him his phone saw the time and ran out again because she was going to be late for work and didn't want to hear another one of ASR's rantings! (Made her walk out cos I know how its not enjoyable to read about Shyam and Khushi! XD)
It was another day of walking into this weird red office. Never had she seen an office like it. ASR who was such a private man, had a glass cabin. It was a bit weird, but then again he was weird. Weird like a cactus with roses. Sometimes he was nice like the roses. Sometimes he was full of hurtful comments like the cactus. She had decided it would be better if she'd just stayed away from him, get her work done and go back home. She tripped. Again she'd forgotten about the small step she had to climb up onto to enter the office and banged her head on the door.
"Hey Devi Maiyya. Kisi ne kuch dekha na hoga toh accha hoga!" she prayed
ASR saw her walk into the office. As she entered he recited to himself quietly about what was going to happen as she walked in.
He spoke to himself. "She walks...she trips...bangs her head...and finally prays to her Devi Maiyya!"
It was her daily morning routine and everyday he would be standing in his office watching her silently from afar. Her clumsiness would make him feel alive. And then he remembered all the trouble she'd caused him and again those thoughts would override the feelings he had for her and the dragon inside him would once again light up those flames of hatred for her. He sat back down to work but couldn't help but take small glances at her working away munching on her peanuts and making her small hand gestures in the air every time she completed a piece of work. He had no idea what was happening to him. But he knew he was changing.
