Geet woke up the next morning in a daze. She got up and looked around the room, confused.

Geet (thought): Why am I sleeping besides the door? Ufff and My head hurts so bad! What is wrong with me?

As her eyes wondered around her room, they caught a glimpse of a photo of her and Maan together. Just then everything from the previous night came flooding back. The words, the expressions, the pain, the hurt. Mujhe akele chor do! Just leave me alone! The words kept repeating themselves continuously. No matter what Geet did, she couldn't get them out. She looked at herself and tears began pouring out of her eyes.

Geet (thought): What have I become? Me, a simple girl from a small village and now look at me. Why is life so cruel to me? Can't I just be happy, just for some time. I thought everything had finally fit into place, my life complete. But now look at it, it's a wreck.

She looked at the clock and the time read 8am. The weekend had gone past so fast that it was time to go back to university. Geet cleared her eyes and began to get ready. Once she was done, she went out to look for Maan. She really wanted to talk to him, to find out the reason why his mood had suddenly shifted and who exactly was at the door. She hoped that because it was a new day, that his anger may have calmed down and that it would be easier to talk to him and sort out everything. She went to his room and there was no one there. His bed was neatly done meaning that he must have gotten up already and possibly left. Just then Nakul walked past.

Nakul: Geet madam, Maan sir has already gone, he went not long ago

Geet: Okay, thank you

She forced a smile across her face but it faded soon after. It would be a long time before a smile would hold its place. She decided that she would find Maan at university and talk to him then. During the drive to the university, she remembered all of those wonderful moments she had had with Maan, before everything changed.

She was awoken from her daydream by the noise of thunder. Rain, the perfect weather to match how she felt. She had arrived at the university with plenty of time before her first lecture so she decided to begin her search for Maan. She searched the entire university high and low, going to all the likely places that Maan could be. But she still couldn't find him. Each time she had thought she'd caught a glimpse of Maan, she ran up to the person only to find herself looking into someone else's eyes. She also tried looking for Yash and the gang, but even they were nowhere to be seen. Where could Maan be?

Geet looked down at her watch and realised it was time for her first lecture so began making her way to the lecture hall. She hoped that being at university, in a different setting would be the perfect distraction to the misery she was facing. But it was no use. Although she tried her hardest to concentrate and block out everything, nothing worked. In all the lectures she was in, she sat there with a blank face, completely emotionless and walked out not knowing a single word each lecturer had said. Her lecture ended after what seemed like a lifetime, she was starving, she hadn't had a morsel of food since lunch the day before, not even the birthday cake Maan had ordered for her. she made her way to the canteen, hoping to maybe find Maan there too. On her way there she was stopped by someone from her class.

Person: Hey Geet, I was wondering whether you made any notes from the lecture we had

Geet stood there, staring into space. Not a word made any sense, she could see his mouth moving but the sound did not reach her ears, because the only voice she really wanted to hear right now was Maans.

Person: Geet? Are you okay?

Geet: Huh, yeah... I'm... fine. I just...

Person: Hey, I haven't seen Maan around, he normally waits for you, doesn't he?

Geet: Maan...

As soon as she heard his name, tears began to form in her eyes.

Person: Hey, I'm sorry I didn't mean to upset you

The tears were threatening to come out and Geet knew if she cried where she was then everyone would look and it would become talk of the university. So she ran of into the toilets, locked herself in a cubicle and cried her eyes out. The tears were pouring out uncontrollably and they wouldn't stop. She wished that this weekend was she just a dream, and that she would wake up to find everything just the way is should be. But she knew that wasn't the case. Once her tears began to calm down, she wiped her eyes and made her way to the canteen. She hadn't eaten anything since the morning and now she was starving. And who knows, maybe she would find Maan there. On her way there, she saw Yash and the gang and quickly ran up to them. They saw her the same time Geet saw them and began making their way to her.

Yash: Hey Geet, we've been looking for you all morning. Where have you been?

Geet: I've been looking for you guys too. Have any of you seen Maan?

Meera: Actually Geet, we have been looking for him ourselves as well. We haven't seen him all morning, but we thought you might have

Geet: Where the hell is he?

Arjun: Is everything alright between you guys? You seem upset. Even after last night? i mean wasn't Maan planning to do a birthday surprise yesterday... looking at you it looks like things didn't go the way they were planned.

Geet: It's a long story... and I don't really want to talk about it until I've had a talk with Maan.

Yash: Geet, We really wish we could help you find him but we have got to go now, we've got a lecture.But... If you do have any luck in finding your handsome hunk, then do let us know *wink*

Yash had no idea what was going on but by looks of geet he could sense some trouble, so he decided to make her smile by cracking one of his cheesy jokes, but it seemed like it made no effect on geet, because there she stood frozen with absolutely no expression on her face what so ever.

Sameera: Don't worry Geet you'll find him. Take care huh? If you need any support or anything you know our numbers. See ya later babes.

They walked off leaving Geet alone.

Geet (thought): So they haven't seen him either. Maybe he didn't come to university after all. Maybe he went some place different. Babaji, wherever he is, please let me see him soon

She went into the canteen, bought some food and went back out. She decided to eat outside as the fresh air would help her think calmly. On her way there, she heard giggling coming from one of the rooms. As she continued walking, the giggling became louder and more frequent. Geet thought it was probably just some girls being stupid and pathetic so she continued walking until she heard a voice.

Geet (thought): Wait a minute, I've heard that voice before. Who could it be?

She turned around and walked to the room where the voice was coming from. She peeked into the window and was stunned by what she saw. Her thoughts were right. She had heard the voice before, and the voice belonged to none other than Sasha. But that wasn't what shocked her. What shocked her, was the other person she saw sitting there amongst all those girls, laughing. Maan.

Maan (thought): Oh Geet, I know you probably hate me so much right now and I don't blame you. I deserve it. This wasn't how I planned things to be, but I have no other option. No other choice.
