3.Path To The Dream

Anu always dreamed of having the perfect family with Armaan, but now because of her they won't have a family. She never thought that an obstacle this big would come in their lives and take that dream away from them. Armaan doesn't know but she knows and also knows that if she tells Armaan then he will be heartbroken. He's been excited to have a new member in the family but now because of her they won't be able to have any new members. Anu cannot conceive and this hurt her. She always wanted to be a mother and that to of Armaan's child, but no. Anu was so hurt when she found out that she cannot be a mother. She was broken and broke down. Every time she'd see Armaan, she'd start crying because the thought of not becoming a mother and not giving Armaan what he wants, hurt her. She feels like she's betraying her husband. Whenever she would get the courage to tell Armaan the truth, she'd always back out thinking that he will hate her. She can't keep this from him as it is a big thing for and for Armaan.

Anu was about to knock on Armaan's cabin door when the door opened at the same time and there stood Riddhima with files in her hands. Riddhima smiles at Anu. "Hi Anu!" Riddhima says with a smile. Anu smiles back and gives Riddhima a hug. "Hey," Anu says softly. Anu walks in and looks at Armaan. Armaan just stares at Anu then turns away. Riddhima noticed the tension and thought to leave. "I'll see you later," Riddhima said and was about to walk out but Anu grabs her wrist. "Tum kahin nai jao gi," Anu said firmly. Armaan looks at Anu confused and so does Riddhima. Anu pulls Riddhima in gently and closes the door. Armaan and Riddhima look at each other then at Anu. Anu takes a deep breath and looks at Armaan then at Riddhima. "Mujhe tum dono se kuch kehna hai," Anu said. "Bolo," Armaan said. "Main...main..." tears started forming in Anu's eyes. Riddhima puts her files down and puts an arm around Anu. "Anu, kya hua?" Riddhima asks, softly. Anu looks at Riddhima and sees the worry in her eyes. Anu looks at Armaan. "Main Ma nai ban sakti," Anu said. Armaan and Riddhima were shocked. "I'm sorry," Anu cries. "Armaan, main tumhe batana chathi thi lekin mujh mein himat nai thi." Armaan walks up to her and hugs Anu. "Anu, agar tum Ma nai ban sakti toh its okay. Hum bache ko adopt bhi kar sakte hain," Armaan said, holding Anu's face. Riddhima moves away from them and Anu saw this. "Nai, Armaan. Waisa nai lagega ke humara bacha hai. Agar hum dono ka khoon bache main nai ho sakta toh ek ka toh ho sakta hai," Anu said. Armaan looks at Anu confused. "Tum kehna kya chathi ho?" Armaan asks. Anu turns towards Riddhima and walks up to Riddhima. Riddhima just stares at Anu. "Riddhima, kya tum mere bache ki Ma ban sakti ho?" Anu asks, crying. Armaan freezes and so does Riddhima. Riddhima feels her eyes welling up then starts shaking her head. "Nai," Riddhima whispers and runs out. Armaan gets angry and grabs Anu's arm and turns her around. "Tum pagal ho gayi ho!" Armaan yells. "Nai! Theek hi toh keh rahi hoon. Bache main ek ka toh khoon hona chaiye!" Anu yells back. Armaan gets frustrated and lets Anu go with a jerk. Anu runs out and finds Riddhima.

Anu enters the lobby and finds Riddhima sitting on the black leather couch, crying. Anu sits next to Riddhima and puts her hand on Riddhima's shoulder. Riddhima looks at Anu with anger in eyes along with tears. "Main aisa nai karogi," Riddhima said with gritted teeth. "Tum meri dost nai ho? Armaan ki dost nai ho?" Anu asks. "Tum kaisi biwi ho? Apne pati se keh rahi ho ke woh apne dost ke saath raat guzare!" Riddhima stands up. Riddhima shakes her head at Anu and starts walking away. "Tum Armaan se pyar nai karti," Anu said. The words echoed and Riddhima stopped walking. Anu walks up to Riddhima. "Bolo, Armaan se pyar nai karti?" Anu asks. Riddhima slightly turns her head to the side and sees Armaan standing there with his arms crossed across his chest, and staring at Riddhima intently.

Riddhima turns her head towards Anu and shakes her head in disgust and runs out of the building. Anu sighs and watches Riddhima run away then turns around to find Armaan. Armaan was red in anger and shakes his head at Anu too. Armaan goes back to his cabin. Anu sits on the couch and sighs. "Tum dono kyun nai samajh rahe ke yeh jo main kar rahi hoon woh theek hai," Anu says to herself. Anu closes her eyes and takes a deep breath.

Riddhima walks in her house and finds her parents with big smiles on their faces. Every time she comes home, they'll have huge smiles on their faces which was now annoying Riddhima. She felt like ripping off the smiles on their faces and yell at them. "Riddhima, sagaai ki tareek the ho gayi hai," Shashank said, walking up to Riddhima. Riddhima freezes and looks up at her dad. Shashank hugs her and Riddhima stands still which Padma noticed. Padma's smile fades away and watches Riddhima. Shashank pulls back and kisses Riddhima's forehead then walks away. Padma walks up to Riddhima and Riddhima looks at her mom. "Batao kya hua?" Padma asks. Riddhima was in shock. Her mom knew her so well. "K...kuch nai hua Ma," Riddhima said then runs up to her room. Riddhima closes her door and slides down it while crying. Riddhima thought of Anu's words and couldn't figure out the reason why she would say that. Doesn't Anu love Armaan?

It was around seven pm when there was a knock on Riddhima's room door. She opens the door to find her mom standing there. Riddhima didn't want to talk about anything right now so she was about say something but Padma had spoke first. "Tumhari dost aayi hai," Padma said. Riddhima looks confused then walks downstairs to find Anu standing there. Riddhima's eyes go wide and sees her dad sitting on the couch in the living room and her mom going to sit next to him. Once their back was facing them, Riddhima pushes Anu out of the house and closes the door behind them. "Tum yahan kya kar rahi ho?" Riddhima asks, while dragging her away from the house by Anu's arm, so her parents don't hear their conversation. Riddhima stops and sees Armaan sitting in the car. Their eyes met but Armaan looks away. "Anu, mera jawab abhi bhi no hai. Meri shaadi the ho gayi aur abhi kuchi dino main meri sagaai ho rahi hai," Riddhima said, calmly and trying her best to explain it to Anu. "Riddhima, main pagal nai hoon jo tumse aisa sawaal kare. Tumhe lagta hai ke main chathi hoon ke tum Armaan ke saath so, nai. Riddhima, please meri baat samajh ne ki koshish karo," Anu pleads. Riddhima looks at Anu and knew there is something else behind this reason. "Koi patni aise kisi ladki se nai kehti ke woh apne pati ke saath soye," Riddhima said. Anu looks at Riddhima with tears in her eyes. She has been caught. "Riddhima, main tumhe nai bata sakti," Anu cries. "Kyun? Aisi kya baat hai ke tum mujhe nai bata sakti. I thought ke hum ache dost hai ke ek dusre ko kuch bhi bata sakte hain," Riddhima said. Anu closes her eyes as tears made their way out. Armaan was watching all of this from his car and since his window was open, he could hear them too. "Anu, please mujhe batao," Riddhima said softly with her hands on Anu's shoulder. Anu shakes her head. "Main nai bata sakti varna meri, tumhari, aur Armaan ki jaan ko khatra hai," Anu said then bites her tongue at what slipped out of her mouth. Armaan gets out of the car and walks up to them. "What do you mean, Anu ke humari jaan ko khatra hai," Armaan said. "Agar maine kuch aur kaha toh hum..." Anu didn't complete her sentence. Anu gets down on her knees with her hands clasped together. "Please," Anu begs. Armaan and Riddhima were shocked to see Anu in this state. She's always been a lively girl and has never been this wrecked. Armaan holds Anu's shoulders and makes her stand up. Anu hugs Armaan and Riddhima turns her back to them. Anu pulls back and grabs Riddhima's wrist. "Please," Riddhima hears Anu whisper. Armaan looks down at Anu then at Riddhima. Riddhima turns around and looks at Anu then at Armaan.

Armaan and Riddhima stare at each other while Anu was looking back and forth between the both of them. She hopes they yes, this is the only way they all will be safe and Armaan and Riddhima will be together. Anu knew from the day she met Riddhima that she has feelings for Armaan, but Anu being the wife of Armaan didn't want accept that. She loves Armaan, but things have taken a big turn which made her turn her path of dreams. Armaan and Riddhima were talking in silence between each other. "Please, tum dono meri baat maan jao. Main tum dono ko batana chathi hoon ke main aisa kyun kar rahi hoon lekin nai bata sakti," Anu said. Both of them look at Anu then at each other. "M...main nai kar sakti aur m...main karna bhi nai chathi," Riddhima said, turning around so her back faced them. Anu grabs Riddhima's arm and takes her far away from Armaan. "Tum iss shaadi se bach jao gi aur Armaan tumhara ho jayega," Anu said. Riddhima looks at Anu confused. Anu realizes what she said so she tries to cover it up. "Riddhima, meri baat mano. Tum meri dost ho aur main yeh sirf tumhare aur Armaan ke bhalaye ke liye keh rahi hoon. Please," Anu said. Riddhima was so confused. Its wrong to sleep with her friend's husband and that to just so they can have a kid, but there is something else that Riddhima and Armaan don't know. Anu walks back to Armaan while Riddhima stood rooted in her spot, thinking things over.

"Armaan, I love you aur tum bhi mujhse pyar karte ho. Please, mere liye Riddhima ke saath..." Anu didn't complete her sentence as she didn't have the courage too. Armaan noticed the difficulty Anu was having to complete her sentence and knows she doesn't want this. "Tumhe itni mushkil ho rahi hai yeh baat kehne mai aur tum chathi ho ke main Riddhima ke saath raat guzaro thake humara bacha ho? Acha theek hai, maante hai ke maine Riddhima ke saath raat guzari lekin jab woh bacha duniya main aaye ga kya Riddhima hume woh bacha degi. Riddhima ek Ma bane gi aur koi Ma apne bache ko apne aap se door nai karti," Armaan yells. Anu cries as she looks up at Armaan. He didn't know what will happen when Armaan and Riddhima spend a night together, but she did. "Armaan, tumhe meri kasam," Anu whispers and Armaan stares down at Anu. His eyes were stuck on her and couldn't believe that Anu is pleading so him and Riddhima can spend a night together just so they can have a kid. Now she has sworn on top of her for him to spend the spend a night with Riddhima. "Lekin bacha ek hi raat main nai ho jaata," Armaan justifies. "Jaanti hoon," Anu whispers. Anu turns her head when she sees Riddhima walking back to them with her eyes lost. She stops in front of them and looks at both, Armaan and Anu. "Main...karne ke liye...tayar hoon," Riddhima said in a low voice with her head down. Anu smiles and hugs Riddhima then both of them look at Armaan. Armaan turns his back to them and takes a deep breath. "Main bhi," Armaan said. Riddhima looks at Armaan's back in shock then looks at Anu who was happy.

Armaan and Anu went home, silently. They didn't talk to each other. Anu took a few of her belongings and walked out of her and Armaan's room and went to the guest bedroom, surprising Armaan. Armaan didn't question or go after her because he wanted to be alone for right now.

Anu sits down on the bed and stares in front of her. Anu is happy that all of them will be safe now but isn't happy about what she has to do next. The shrill of her phone, jerked her out of her thoughts. She looks at the caller ID and becomes scared and if she didn't answer the phone then something will happen that shouldn't happen. "Hello," Anu picks up the phone and speaks. "Kam ho gaya," came the male voice. "H...haan," Anu replies. "Good, ab tum mere paas kab aa rahi ho?" he asked. Anu closes her eyes with tears falling. "Jab mujhe aana hoga main aa jaogi," Anu said through gritted teeth. "Aw, naraz ho ke tum apne pati ko kisi aur aurat ke saath chod rahi ho," he said with fake sympathy. Anu starts to become mad but controls it. "Aur jab tum mere paas aao gi toh hume fikar bhi nai hogi ke tum pregnant ho sakti ho," the guy said. After giving a laugh, he hung up. Anu hangs up and throws her phone the bed and runs her hands through her hair. Anu looks up at the ceiling with fresh tears falling. "Mere saath hi kyun?" Anu asks herself.

Riddhima walks into her cabin to find Anu standing there which scared Riddhima as Anu never came to her cabin. "Anu, tum yahan?" Riddhima asks, shocked. Anu turns around and grabs Riddhima's hand and takes her to Armaan's cabin. Anu closes the door and at the same time Armaan turns around to see Riddhima. Armaan and Riddhima both stare at each other. Before, they would greet each other with words and with smiles but now after taking the decision it was speechless. "Armaan, tumne cabin book kar liya?" Anu asks. Armaan nods, silently and turns his head back. "Cabin?" Riddhima questions. "Haan, tum dono ek hafte ke liye bahar jaa rahe ho," Anu said. "Ek hafte ke liye? Kab?" Riddhima asks. "Kal subah," Anu answers. "Main...main jaa paogi aur maine Ma aur Papa se bhi nai pucha," Riddhima said, looking at Anu. "Riddhima, tum apne Ma aur Papa se keh dena ke achanak se tumhe business ke silsile se bahar jaana pad raha hai," Anu said. Riddhima stares at Anu. She couldn't believe that Anu is talking like this isn't a big thing for her. "Anu - " Riddhima was cut off by the ring of her phone. Riddhima looks at the caller ID and her eyes go wide. Siddhant. She forgot about him and her marriage when she took the decision. If she does get pregnant then what is she suppose to tell her soon-to-be-husband-and-in-laws and her parents. Riddhima had overhead her parents conversation on getting her and Siddhant married in the next three months and the engagement is in two weeks. Armaan turns around when he hears no talking and just the ring of Riddhima's cell phone. "Riddhima, phone uthao. Koi important phone call ho sakti hai," Anu said. Riddhima looks at Anu then at Armaan. "Siddhant," Riddhima whispers making all of them freeze. The topic of Riddhima's marriage did come last night but was soon forgotten. Armaan totally forgot that Riddhima is getting married and he took the decision to spend days with her in a cabin. Riddhima drops her phone as her hand had become numb. Siddhant, her almost-to-be-fiance. He's a nice guy and Riddhima had said yes to the marriage, but she took the marriage as a compromise. Riddhima didn't exactly she should have behaved when he came to meet her at the office. She should have been more relaxed and chilled but her mind was always on Armaan. "Anu, main Siddhant ko...dhoka nai de sakti...I'm sorry," Riddhima said and runs out of Armaan's cabin to hers. Armaan looks at Anu while Anu looks back at him. Anu picks up Riddhima's phone from the floor and deletes Siddhant's contact. Anu has to get Armaan and Riddhima together under any circumstance. She doesn't want to be alone and Riddhima not getting her love. Anu loves Armaan very much but she has to leave him otherwise all of them are in danger and all of their lives could be taken. With one person suppose to be hurt can also hurt many other people.

Finished! I got time to finish it today so I did. I know you all may hated this part but this part leads to Armaan and Riddhima being together. OMG.. anu has gone mad... i mean i do understand her situation bt hw can she ask another girl to sleep wid her husband n then giv her child to her...its truly impossible...n jus becoz ridz loves armaan she dosnt hav to do all this... i mean as ammy said they cud hav adopted a child.. theer so many children who dun have parents...

n e ways lets c how u r taking it...

the concept is preety similar to salman's movie 'chori chori chupke chupke..'
