Armaan was sitting on his bed, pondering about his life. Atul and Armaan noticed him being in deep thoughts.
Atul: bhai
But Armaan didn't reply.
Rahul: bhai
Still no reply.
Atul and Rahul: BHAI!!!
Armaan: what the! why are you guys shouting
Atul: cause you are not replying when called you softly
Armaan: sorry
Rahul: what are thinking about
Armaan: Geet
Atul: what about her
Armaan: I am just thinking how we met Geet? Do you remember?
Rahul gives a smile: I do. How can anybody forget that day. That's the day that sunshine came to our life.
Atul: I know
************** years ago*****************
It's been few months since she joined the work and her MBA school. Mr.malhotra grew fond of Geet. Mr.malhotra introduced her to all his family members. Everybody had an instant liking.Especially, Shweta. She had tears in her eyes, as she is seen her lost daughter in Geet. Shashank notices this. He squeezes her hand assuring her. As time flies by, Geet got real close to the family except the three boys. They are not home often and when they are, she is not. Even they all are present the boys don't talk to Geet cause Armaan doesn't. Geet gets little hurt when she sees their behaviour but keep mum.These days Geet is not coming to Malhotra's home and office that often as her exams are going on. Everybody is dearly missing Geet especially the boys.
In shweta's and Shashank's Bedroom
Shweta is folding the clothes ans shahshank is looking fondly at her. Shashank notices Shweta's restlessness.
Shashank: Shweta
Shweta: Ha
Shashank calls Shweta near him and make her sit beside him on the bed.
Shashank: What's wrong?
Shweta: Nothing. I am just missing Geet alot. Her laughter, the voice of her payals, everything about her is making miss her dearly, it's like I geet is becoming my need. with that shweta gave a little laugh.
Shashank: Did you notice something?
Shweta: What?
Shashank: You never laughed like this after Annie is gone and you don't cry about Annie anymore. My old Shweta is returning.
Shweta: Shashank I came to a decision.
Shashank: what's that
Shweta: I am thinking of adopting Geet. She is just like Annie and ever since she came in to our lives we stoop mourning about Annie. We started living again. I really want Geet to be our daughter. What do you say?
Shashank: actually that's a good idea. I really like Geet alot. But, only us liking her is not going to get us anywhere, everybody has to like her. Especially Geet has to agree
Shweta: let's talk to the family and geet.
Shashank: sure
Shweta and Shashank talked to everbody. Kashyap was really happy, All the boys felt very ha[[y inside, Atul and Rahul gave their thumbs up secretly and Armaan just walked away. Shweta and Shashank were dissapointed with Armaan's behaviour but Kashyap assured them that he just needs some time. They talked to Geet next morning, Geet had happy tears in her eyes but was concenered for what did the boys say to her staying in the house. They told about Rahul and Atul's secret thumbs up and they assured her that Armaan will cope with her but he just needs some time. Geet agreed to live with them.
few days later
She became the apple of everyone's eyes. Rahul and Atul secretly gave a smile to her which she replied with a smile. One day Geet was working on her assignments late in the night in her room, when she heard someones faint sobs. She went outside to check who it was and found that the sobs were coming from atul's room which is right beside hers. She knocked softly.
Atul: who is it?
Geet: It's me geet
Atul came and opened the door. His eyes had a a tint of faint red.
Atul: what is it?
She softly pushed him aside, went and sat on his bed cross-legged and she signalled him to sit beside her. He came and sat beside her calmly.
Geet: what's it?
Atul pointed to his plants.
Geet: you want to talk about it.
Atul: they are not growing any more, i am watering them everyday but no growth. They are becoming dry day by day.
Geet just smiled: you are crying about such a small matter bhai. We can fix it easily.
Atul eyes lit up: Really? how?
Geet: you just need to shift plant into a bigger pot and fill it with rich soil and fertilizer. Look at this soil, it's so week and dry.but where can we get rich soil and fertilizer at this hour
Atul: pagli, ofcourse from the Garden work house. let's go.
They both went, got the soil and fertilizer and shifted the plants in to bigger pots and watered them.
Geet: dekhna Bhai! From Tommorow your babies will bloom like anything. ok i'll go now. goodnight.
Atul: wait Geet.
She turned around and was taken aback by a sudden hug.
Atul: thank you! I, Rahul and Armaan really like we are just staying away from you b/c of Armaan. He was the one that was most affected by Annie's death. He is scared of loosing you and so are we. We supporting him to not let him feel that he is alone.
Geet smiled widely: Friends?
Atul: yes! We will text eachother
They took each others phone numbers. Geet kissed Atul good night and went to her room.

I am terribly sorry for very late update. I have so much work to do in my courses, but now i am kind of free so i'll try to update. Thank you for coping.
