6:25 AM, Malhotra Residence.
Shilpa ran around in her room, pulling her hair into a ponytail while she tried to hold the toothbrush in her mouth with one hand.
''I'm gonna be late. On my very first day. Damn it.''
She threw her wardrobe open, taking out the long sleeved blouse she'd chosen earlier with the white lace spaghetti top under it. Finishing them off with a pair of jeans, she gave her reflection a thumbs up.
''Shilpa! Would you hurry it up? We're so gonna be late for your first day of college today.''
''It's not the first day of college, it's MY first day, I'm the new girl since someone decided to move.'' She glared at Anjali, gulping a glass of water down. She picked her bag up and grabbed a pair of reading glasses. She turned around to wave the picture of her parents goodbye, before shutting the door.

6:25 AM, A locked classroom in Excel College.
''Wow, Armaan.'' The girl took a deep breath. ''That was like, amazing. Can we do it again?''
''Sorry babe, how about I give you a ring?'' Armaan answered, straightening his jacket.
''And like, when will that be?''
Before Armaan could answer, Sid opened the door, looking around cautiously and taking a deep breath. ''Phew, I didn't want to walk in on anything that gives me nightmares for months.. '' He looked at the direction of the girl who just walked out. ''So, dude, what number is she?''
''God, I don't know Sid, number 15 or 16 or something of the month.''
''So, Mr Playboy is losing count, huh?'' Sid grinned.
''Hey, I can't help it when all the girls come flying at me, it's like a curse or something.''
''What a horrible curse!'' Sid blurted out sarcastically and rolled his eyes.
''Check that out.'' Armaan perked an eyebrow.
As they looked, a pair of long legs stepped out of the car with an outfit that hugged her hour glass figure. She looked like an innocent school girl with her hair held up and those glasses.
''Okayyy, who is she?'' Armaan said, stretching the 'y' out.
''Uh, rumour has it that she's a scholarship student from Dehradun and scholarship kids take their studies pretty seriously.''
''So that explains the whole look of her.'' Armaan settled back, leaning against the wall. ''So, we have an all work but no play girl here.'' His face started to break into a grin.
''Woah, I know that look on your face.'' Sid jumped. ''Don't even think she'd fall for your pick up lines and tricks. Gosh, Armaan, you're the biggest casanova in the college. The girls here are easy but she's from a small town.''
''Are you forgetting who you're talking to?'' Armaan gave Sid a smug smile. ''I'm Armaan Mallik and I'm in control.''
''You know what, Armaan? Sooner or later you're going to crash and burn.''
''What do you mean by that, Siddy boy?''
Sid rolled his eyes when he heard the nickname. ''One of these days, you're going to find this girl that drives you crazy and you're going to lose that 'control' of yours.''
''Dude, we all thought Nikita was the 'one' for me.'' Sid could practically hear the quotation marks in his tone. ''You know how that turned out..'' When Sid didn't look convinced enough, Armaan went on. ''And if it happens, you can ask for anything that I own and say 'I told you so' as many times as you wish, kay?''
''Alright, deal.'' Sid held out a hand.
''You're on.''
Armaan turned around and started walking away when Sid called out.
''Dude, where are you going?''
''It's almost 7.00 AM and I gotta meet Sarah. Can't let the ladies wait.'' He winked before heading off.
Sid shook his head, smiled and headed down the stairs. Lost in his thoughts about what he could ask from Armaan when the time comes, he didn't look at the person straight ahead of him who wasn't looking ahead, either. They bumped into each other and the next thing Sid knew were a lot of books around him. He looked up to see the same girl he and Armaan had been checking out earlier rubbing her forehead and muttering something which he suspected wasn't so nice.
This is going to be an interesting start..
