Hi, I want to formally name this FF... any suggestions?
Part 3:Devan stood with his back towards the door, and was looking over in the distance lost in thought. Khushi crept up behind him and yelled BOOO in his ear to bring him back to Earth. Devan jerked back to his senses, and playfully hit her on the arm.
Devan: "Mujhe lagta hai kay tum pechlay janam main zaroor koi chudail rahi hogi, is liye itna madhur cheekhti ho.""Ab aik bhoot ko hosh main laana ho toh tarha tarha kay roop dhaaran karnay hi parhtay hain." Khushi retorted with a wink, and began to close the door more than halfway.
Arnav had by now reached the terrace by staying a safe distance from Khushi so that she does not get a hunch that she's being followed. Before he could peek through the door, the sounds of laughter greeted him. He spied through the door to analyze the reason for the secret meeting.
Khushi: "O haan, before I forget, where is my birthday gift?."Devan replies smirking:
"Arey day toh diya...bairr laya toh tha tumhare liye, that was your birthday gift."Khushi moves closer to Dev and puts her hands on her hips:
"Woh mera birthday gift tha, really?...I don't believe you, sharafat say mera gift nikalo, acha chalo khao devi maiyya ki kasam kay woh mera birthday present tha."Devan: "Tum kuch zyada hi naadeedi (greedy) nahi horahi ho?."... Khushi rolled her eyes.
Devan: "Ok baba, ab apni eyes close karo. I want to see the twinkle in your eyes when you open them and this is the first thing that you see."Khushi delightedly closes her eyes while Dev in the meantime opens a small box and holds it in front of her.
Devan: "Khushi ab aankhen kholo."Khushi opens her eyes and sees a pair of delicate silver anklets.
Khushi excitedly murmurs:
"Wow, yeh meray liye hain. These are beautiful Dev, tum kitnay achay say meri pasand jaantay ho...thank you so much." Moves forward and gives him a quick hug before moving back.Devan: "Acha zyada maska mat lagao mujhe. I saw your other gifts. Unkay saamnay toh yeh kuch bhi nahi hai. Like the one that Arnav Singh bloke, and his sister gave you. A gold bracelet with tiny diamonds embedded on it. It looked very expensive."Khushi remembers her pain and anger at Arnav at the mention of his name.
Khushi: "Who cares what he gave me. I only accepted this gift because it was from Anjali ji. Her gift matters to me because she is the only one I care about. Meray dil main us Attyachari Sar-Phiray Rakshas (ASR) kay liye siwayi nafrat kay kuch bhi nahi hai."Arnav felt a jolt in his heart at Khushi's words, and his grip tighten on the handle of the door.
Arnav thinks to himself:
"Kiya woh mujh say itni nafrat karti hai kay meray naam kay zikr par hi itna gussa hogaye." Arnav saddened at this thought, and how dare she call me an ATTYACHARI whatever RAKSHAS?. Who the hell does she think she is... Miss World." Devan on the other hand was trying to read her facial expressions, and her eyes instead of giving entire credibility to her words.
Khushi held up her leg on a small wooden bench and told him to come and tie the payals around her ankles. Dev smiled at Khushi, bent down, and put the anklet in her foot. She then raised the next foot and Dev obliged by putting on the payal. Arnav's eyes were at the whole time on Dev's hands which were touching Khushi's feet. This was becoming too much for Arnav, if they didn't stop with all this crap Arnav was sure he'd vomit. Right at that moment Arnav cell rang...
"O damn" he whispered, and checked the caller I.D. It was Lavanya.
He had never in his life felt so angry at Lavanya before. Khushi and Devan had heard the ringing too and they were coming out to investigate. Arnav hurriedly went down, and hid behind a pillar to avoid detection, and saw that Lavanya had messaged him that
she'd left for home and for him to urgently come back. The duo saw no one outside the terrace's door and assumed that the ringtone was just carried up by the wind from someone's. Khushi however closed the door entirely this time, and since it was an old door, if anybody would open it then it'll creak. Arnav decided it was better to leave than to get caught, and besides he had seen enough for one night. She started telling him about how she met Arnav, how he treated her, his attitude about life, about God, and about people in general.
"And you know even today, he came because his di forced him to come, usey mera koi khayal nahi tha. Woh yahan meray liye nahi aaya tha." Khushi ended with tears looking down.
Devan's ears stood up at Khushi's last line.
Devan: "So lemme get this straight. Tumhain bura is baat ka lag raha kay woh yahan tumharay liye nahi aaya?... am I right?."Khushi: "No no Dev. Main uskay zindagi ko dekhnay kay nazariye say tangh hoon. Haan yehi baat hai." She added after an afterthought. Devan was looking at his friend who now seemed lost.
Devan took Khushi's hands in his:
"Tumhain kisi bhi cheez ki chinta karnay ki zarorat nahi hai, main aagya hoon Khushi, ab tumhari sari problems meri hain...Ab meri Heeriye, Soniye neechay chalain before people start wondering what we're upto."Arnav drove extremely fast, got home and went straight off to his room before he could meet Lavanya, his di, Nani or any other person. Creating a tantrum was not his characteristic. He was a businessman and believed in playing the game, and winning it. He was decisive, and well prepared by nature. By today's events had moved him intensely. He threw his coat, his shirt, his pants and put on a simple T shirt and slacks and went off to bed. His thoughts had been focused on Khushi for a past couple of days. They would keep him up late but eventually he would fall asleep but tonight was just not his night. He checked his clock and it was past
2:00 AM. He took some sleeping pills and fell asleep. His dreams were filled with Khushi and Devan talking, laughing, playing, touching, and hugging each other. He was having flashbacks of every Khushi and Devan's moment that his eyes witnessed, but this time instead of waking up he dreamt an image of himself standing afar from Khushi and Devan's hugging figures bellowing:
"Khushi tumhari jism ki parchaiye say lay kar tumhari aankhon kay aks (reflection) par bhi sirf Arnav Singh Raizada ka haq hai." Part 4: page 18Press like if you enjoyed my work!!š³
