@all its a small update but hey, its a quick one😆
i hope i didn't dis-appoint u'll coz some wanted Mayank to say a 'yes' and some a 'no', so, here goes nothing!😆
Part 14 :
Nupur walked upto Mayank with tears, that she tried hard to fight back with and said, "Mayank…shayad tum sahi keh rahe ho. Galti toh meri hai hi, par ab kya kiya jaa sakta hai? Bauji itni dur se Mumbai aa rahe hain, ek baar tum unse mil sakte ho, please…aur dekho, jyaada kuch nahi jo tumhe sach lagta hai mere baare mein wahi keh dena unhe" she completed with a pleading and upset voice. She now knew for sure that he must be very dis-appointed with hr as a person and she didn't want to blame him, somewhere she knew she was too.
Mayank didn't like her voice like that. He turned around with a stiff face and questioning eyes that asked, 'Did she really know what I had started to think of her and how it seemed ever growing now to attach him to every thing related to her…Even now'
Shilpa Aunty came forward and said, "Nupur, actually I agree with Mayank, tumhe sach mein apne Bauji ko aisa jhoot nahi bolna chahiye tha, par ab main chahti hoon ki tum khood yeh promise lo ki tum apne Bauji se aisa jhoot nahi bologi…yeh koi tareeka nahi hai kissi mushkil se ladne ka…" and looking in Mayank's eyes she said, "Mayank, ab tum itna ka sakte ho ki iski musibat solve karne mein tum iski help karo…iske Bauji se ek baar mil lo, am sure Nupur ab aisi galti nahi dohrayegi…right Nupur?" both the Sharmas looked at Nupur scrutinizing her expressions whole she gave an honest nod to them both with tears brimming her eyes. Before leaving, she held up Mayank's hand in both of hers and trying to smile in tears she said, "Thanks Mayank, Thank you so much"
His hands were firm, strong and fitted in both her hands like they were meant to be, when Nupur realized him looking at her and back at his hands in hers, she had to leave it in a jiffy.
His looks to her somehow mattered to her more than she had assumed it would. Firstly, she was in front of him, lying to her father and now holding up his hand like the way she did, made her think twice 'what would he think of her?'
Besides, the touch of his hands already had sent a shiver through her amidst all these emotions and so she easily denied to acknowledge it.
Her holding up his hand was the last thing he wanted today. He didn't want her to let herself free with him or come near him close enough to pose a threat and today when she did that he was just lost for a moment while he thought 'did he want to go so far away from her? Why?'
Besides, he had already made her cry and apologize for the mistake of her Bui which she had only continued. Right, she was wrong too but not entirely on her own.
He had not said a 'yes ' or a 'no' to Nupur but his expression had meant exactly a 'YES' when Shilpa Sharma had asked to help Nupur. He wondered if he wanted to meet Nupur's dad in such a messed up situation and be mean to him by helping Nupur this way. What was he supposed to say to him? That was a big question for him now!

Nupur's dad had arrived at the Sharma House after 2 exact days of Nupur and Mayank's last meet.
He seemed a good man of great pride and principles and a heart warming smile that somehow showed how Nupur's smile was so natural and easy.
When he came up to Mayank, he seemed a little worried and a little determined. Of all the things h had heard of Mayank, he loved and found everything in him that he wanted as a part of Nupur's partner. Mayank was after all was a progressive man with a no-nonsense attitude towards life still helpful and was a great son and from what he saw now, he was just too handsome.
He wanted someone just like him for his daughter.
His attitude had calm and composure that were self generated and his eyes spoke of wit and knowledge and of being sure of himself, though he saw some traces of a nervous air newly developing as he advanced towards Shashi Bhushan with a respectful smile.
Though Shashi Bhushan thought very highly of the femle community, specially when it came to his daughters Nupur and Gunjan but somewhere constant words of his society had made its place in his mind, if not heart, that had made him come so long to meet him here.
He wanted to know the reason for a 'No' from his side and how would a society accept his daughter as its own if she was one of those advanced girls who had managed to make a living alone in Mumbai and had only earned a 'no' from an eligible guy in the same place.
And now, he wanted to convince him for a 'yes', not force but try.
Mayank suddenly saw his world seem 'typically-not-his-way'

Okay, Nupur was sitting here with Bui and was trying her best to be casual about things she knew what Mayank and Shilpa Aunty had to do as needful and they would.
BUT…
But she was not at all at ease to say the least. There was a haywire of thoughts engaging her mind – would Bauji doubt whatever she had said doubt whatever she had said about Mayank and manage to not like him? Well that would be a big achievement in itself if someone stayed unaffected by Mayank's attitude and words and looks. She wondered how he had such an unbalanced pack of qualities in him totally unsupported by much faults when she gets to have a load of those on her head.
Secondly, she feared if Mayank would say all of her and her Bui's plan clearly, being the truthful person that he was and Bauji may never ever forgive her.
Thirdly, she wondered if her Bauji would like him or not with his precise and clear words that was only a shadow of his calm brain and wit.
Fourthly, she didn't want Mayank to talk ill of her in any sense whatsoever. She knew it would be too easy for him to point out her faults once again but her heart hoped, wholeheartedly, that he wouldn't. Would he?
And she wondered if her Bauji will like him or not?
And she, for the first time in her life started to feel nervous when trying to think of her and Mayank in this issue. It felt stranger than it sounded with her stomach having emptying feeling when she let her brain free for thoughts here.
And, she wondered if her Bauji would like him or not – For Her.
She scolded herself when she realized how stupid she had been to have thought this for real when none of it was to happen for real. Something felt wrong when she put forward the fact to herself that 'All of this was artificial' and she knew already, what was going to happen and she was only required to wait for the way in which Mayank denied her. Yes, of course he would, she had asked him to do so but now she was getting angry and mad at the way things were turning out. It echoed in her mind, as time passed and her Bauji had neither called, nor had he come back yet. And here Bui was trying her to have some special snacks from Morena.
Feeling restless, on the pretext of going to washroom, she went in and looked at her face in mirror which showed stress and worry.Rinsing it with water, she tried clearing her thoughts when she tried to analyze why was she taking things so seriously when she already knew they weren't. Trying to smile to her reflection, she tried to remove any more confusion to herself.
