Geet slowly walked out of her room to prepare her dinner. All the while..jasmeet's words kept ringing in her mind, " oye..tu apne MK se mili ya nahi?"

She lied so smoothly…she felt bad! But what if MK still lives here? How would he be looking now? How would his voice be now? Its been 15 years since had last seen him…he was in std III then and she in II….and 5 years since both were out of contact!!!
She microwaved the frozen pizza and ate it slowly..thinking about what had actually happened that fateful day when she had called him……

FLASHBACK—

She was so happy that she'd be leaving to London today….for higher studies! She was only 16 then…just finished her matriculation. She never told MK that she was going to London…she wanted to surprise him even after that match scandal!
But then, she was worried about her parents too. Business in Japan was taking a toll on them!

******************************

The next day…early morning…she sat in the cornermost place in her room hiding her face in her knees…sobbing! Her eyes were red and swollen! What had happened to them? Why did it had to be them? She questioned herself, her fate and her god….and she knew there was no answer to it! She cried…felt so lonely…so helpless! She wanted someone to hold her…support her now! She wanted to share her grief with someone..but who?

Then it struck her…MK…he is her best friend after all right! He might help her…she knew he'd help her as he had been doing all these years, when she was in London. In India and even in Japan!
He might have changed…but he still calls her right? Then that means…he still cares for her right??

She took her cell phone and punched his number wiping her tears! London is around 9 hours behind Japan. Frequency of her tears increased as his cell beeped!

She was so agonized…so sad…so devastated that she didn't even notice the time in Japan and co-relate it to the time in London!
He had picked up the call…his voice was drowsy…but she failed to notice that amongst her misfortunes!

When she couldn't control, she just blurted out her hidden emotions—MK…please…help me…please get me out of this place…please help MK!

Her words were filled with her sobs…she heard MK murmer something in his sleep…but she was completely unaware of the fact that it was pat mid-night in London and MK might be sleeping.
Suddenly she felt the line go disturbed and the call got cut!

Restlessness…insecurity…doomed her! Did he cut the call? Did he? She recalled the incidents with Kate and MK ignoring her completely in the past few months…did he not want to be her friend anymore? Did he not?

Her only hope seemed to shatter into pieces…she threw the phone angrily…heart-broken…ditched…she felt being left all alone in this cruel world!

She cried out and loud…but alas! No one was there to hear her out….NO ONE! The beautiful world that her parents had created for her…without any sorrow..without any pain..without any deceit…just came crashing down with the demise of her beloved "PAPA". That horrible day took away everything from them..every bit of their happiness..every dream….every hope…everything seemed so meaningless now…everything disappeared from their lives…never to come back again….

PRESENT—

She snapped open her eyes…she found herself on the couch. The TV was left switched on…she might have dozed off.
Memories of her past….no matter how much she moves ahead in life…no matter how much she tries to change herself….her past always comes back and stands in front of her like a mirror reflecting its effect on her present life.

Tears threatened to fall out….she got up and went to the washroom. She splashed water on her face again and again. She stood in front of the mirror wiping her face. She looked at her eflection…it clearly showed the reflection of her past on her face.

Geet (to her reflection): tujhe MM ki baat yaad nahi geet? Did you forget your own promise?
She shot a stern look to her reflection…her emotions reflected back!

Geet: I told you not to cry ever again…NO ONE is going to wipe them off…NO ONE.. you have to bear everything alone!!! you get that geet ALL ALONE. So stop sobbing and do what you need to now! Forget everything and everyone in your past!
She closed her eyes, took a deep breath in and let it out slowly!

Geet (opening her eyes): this is you NEW life…don't spoil it by bringing your past into it!
She somewhat felt much calmer now. She shrugged off all the emotions in her and went back to sleep!

Time:1:05am
Location: Khurana Mansion

He again woke up from his deep sleep…panting…sweating!
Not again…he cried! He had again heard that voice in his dream!
Maan: why do I hear it so often? MK??? She was crying..MK!!!
He thought hard…MK…who would call him that?

There are many people out there who call him MK….Maan Khurana. But something was different in the 'MK'that voice cried…he couldn't relate her 'MK' to 'Maan Khurana'. It kind of meant something else…something different…something so familiar!
He brushed his hair back with his fingers…damn it!!! Why was it so different?

But enough is enough! 5 years that heart-wrenching voice had been haunting him…but now…not any more! He made up his mind to put an end to this once and for all. He sighed and went back to sleep, determined to put an end to this daily torture that has rendered him sleepless nights!

A month later….

Geet has adjusted herself well with her new life and new friends. She has become extremely popular in college…especially beating up boys who behaved rudely with the minor number of girls in the college. Some of them feared her…but a few of them hated her guts too.
Teachers were impressed by her effect on boys…they thought she could tame the ever-haughty boys of XIBM. So all was said and done! She was made the Students' Council President on XIBM…being a student of 2nd senior most batch Of the college after Maan's!

Many of them didn't like it…she was so strict with her ways…so damn strict! There were no elections held for the president's post…rather the teachers had, for the 1st time ever, decided this on their own!

Kawaii *evil smile😈* clever teachers hun😉??? They won't have to do anything now! Hmm…smart…very smart!!!😆
Ohh teri….students' council se yaad aaya…Kawaii was also a students' council member of her school…to be precise..the Sports captain (girls) of her school! *collar up*

Girls were more than happy.Jessica, geet's collegue and her closest friend in XIBM was the happiest one out there. According to her, with that fearful attitude of hers, geet best suited the president's post!

Maan had visited a psychiatrist regarding those persistent dreams. The psychiatrist had suggested him that it could be due to psychological or emotional stress or may be a "memory from a dream"! All this happened without informing Dadima.

Maan preferred to buy "memory from a dream".he tried to recall that dream and what had actually happened in the past that related him to that dream….bt sadly he couldn't figure out anything. So finally he took to sleeping pills. Whenever he had that dream, whose occurrence frequency has become quite low now, he'd take a pill and sleep off. But he still didn't give up on his quest.

Most interestingly, he had found a good way to keep himself busy….Observing his Witch!

He didn't have any problem when geet was elected the prez…infact he liked it..he didn't know why…he had been like that since the time they had that basketball match in that rain. He never cared what his colleagues thought or talked about their prez! He just loved seeing her snapping at boys, caring and protective towards girls, helpful to everyone and respectful to the teachers. This is something he had never felt before../….never done before…but why is he doing it now…no one knows! But he loved the feeling.

Even in all this, he never forgot to tease her whenever she'd be around! She'd fume and he'd enjoy her plight.and sometimes he'd even stalk her around just to irritate her. Strange…but that's how it is now!

Geet had passed down strict rules regarding college discipline. Some arrogant boys protested but they couldn't do much as others abided by it

But…but…but…the best part….she was the 1st female member as well as the 1st female prez of XIBM students' council. So girls were in 7th heaven and 9th could and even higher if possible!

But the worst affected out of all was poor poor RAHUL…yes because sadly, he as the vice-president of the council!!!
At 1st he was quite happy for being the V prez so that he could hit on geet…but seeing her completely new side…he actually regretted his decision of becoming the VP.

Maan stayed out of all this even though he was aksed to join the students' council…well he is the great MSK right…he can't go around doing things that has been ordered to him by the prez! He wanted his own free space and time,…..mostly to irritate his WITCH!
Moreover, there was not much ragging going on with girls with geet being around.

Sometimes it so happened that Maan & geet end up arguing for very silly reasons and then the whole college has to go on their knees so stop them/.

So finally geet decided never to give a damn to that JERK. She also had a lot of things to catch up with the students' council work…especially with the mess the boys had done over the years and she being the 1st and the only female member! She had literally brought all the working members of the students' council to their knees!

Maan sat in the cafeteria spping his black coffee. Dan was having his burger and coke!

Dan (sadly): dude…I miss Rahul! He is so tortured by that evil Prez!
And he took a huge bite from his burger and gulped it down at one go to soothe his sadness! Maan was least bothered…evil Prez..that was what all the boys called her!

Maan (sipping his coffee): well that's not our fault…its rahuls's own! He was the one to put his foot into the lion's den right?
Dan sighed sadly: wish he comes back to us!

Maan: even if you beg for him…that witch would never leave him that easily!

Dan (confused): witch?? Ho witch?
Maan: ahh I mean..your evil prez!

Strangely, 'witch' was somewhat a secret between Maan and geet. No one even knew that he calls her a witch!

Suddenly they saw Rahul coming towards them slowly, with his head hung down. As he neared, they could hear him sobbing…like a little kid!!! Maan and Dan were so shocked at the state of his!!!
Soon as Rahul saw his mates, he ran to them crying loudly!!

Rahul (crying): Maan…..(sob)…Dan….(sob)
He ran and hugged them. He sat beside them, put his head on the table and cried like a little kid!

Dan (choking his coke):Rahul? What happened man? W…w..why are you crying?

Maan was curious to know the reason…Rahul and crying? That too like a small kid whose lollipop has been stolen!!! There was seriously somwthing wrong!

Rahul didn't reply, rather cried more! Maan was so ashamed to see rhaul cry like a girl. He just got angry and shouted at him!

Maan: STOP CRYING LIKE A GIRL and say what happened Rahul1 BE A MAN!

Rahul looked at him with his cute tearful eyes…he was mentally stressed out and seeing Maan geeting angry…he cried even louder!

Dan shot Maan an angry glare and went near Rahul. He wiped his tears, patted his back and made him drink some wather. Rahul seemed to calm down but he was still sobbing!

Dan (consoling): don't cry my baby..please calm down and tell us what happened! Shhh baby…shhh!!

Maan rolled his eyes looking at the two girls stitting in front of him! He rubbed his temples…ohh god…he felt like banging his head somewhere there and then!

Rahul (sobbing): th..that (sob)..e..evil prez.. (sob)….tortures…
Even before he could say more, A threatening voice made him become white in fear! He recognized the voice and immediately hid behind Maan and peeped over his shoulder!

The three of them saw an angry geet standing with some papers in her hands and tapping her foot!

They could see big horns on her head and the bright red flames around her! Dan and Rahul gulped down their saliva!

Geet (shouting): you…LAZY VICE PRESIDENT..what the hell are you doing here?
Maan could feel Rahul shiver behind him!

Geet (shouting): you rascals don't do any work round the year and just when I ask you to do something, either you slack off or run away!
Maan was amazed to see this new avatart of his witch…she really looked like an evil prez!

She walked closer to them, threw the papers on them! She warned: Mr. VP…if you don't come out with 3 seconds, you can very well imagine your plight. I asked you to get the accounts files of the last 2 years and you…you lazy bum..you handed me the list of eatables you want to be bought for youself from Maan's money!

Maan loked at Rahul wih an angry look. Rahul gave him a 'oops..caught' smile!

But before anyone could do anything, she went around Maan, held rahul's collar and dragged him towards students' council room!

Rahul (crying again): nooo….HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!! 911………help!!!!

Dan took out his white kerchief and waved it in the air, sobbing…his eyes were teary!!
Dan: (sob)..Adieu dear friend…Adieu!!! (sob)
