It was time for Geet to go home.
Geet- Maan, what time is it?
Maan- 5:00 PM.
Geet- Mere jaane ka waqt aa gaya hain. Dadimaa ne mujhe jaldi ghar aane ke liye bola tha.
Maan- Chalo theek hain.
Geet searched for Vicky's arms. Vicky couldn't bear to see Geet in this state.
Geet- Vicky? Aap kahan ho?
Vicky touched Geet's shoulders.
Geet smiled and hugged Vicky. Vicky was teary.
Vicky- Hum fir milenge.
Geet- Jaroor.
Geet and Maan left and went home. Maan was tempted to ask Geet about her past in the car ride.
Maan- How did you become blind?
Geet- It's a long story.
Maan- I like long stories.
Geet- Well, I don't like to talk about it.
Maan- As you wish.
Geet nodded and listened to the music that was on.
Maan dropped Geet off at her house.
Maan- I'm happy that you had a good time today.
Geet- yeah. Thanks so much...for everything.
Maan- No problem.

The next day-
It was 10 AM and Maan came to the coffee shop again.
Maan- Good Morning Geet, Nani.
Geet- Morning Maan.
Nani- Good morning bete. Have some muffins, Geet just made them.
Maan- Banana nut? My favorite.
Geet smiled.
Geet- Mine too.
Maan smiled.
Geet- Accha, to kaam kaisa hain?
Maan- Accha hain. I have a client coming from Punjab next week.
Geet- Punjab? Arey, my village is over there. It's my dream to go there.
Maan- Really?
Geet- Yeah! Golden Temple, Patiala, Chandigarh, Amritsar ke kulche, Jalandhar ki tikiaan aur pakore it all seems so fascinating.
Maan- That's nice. I'm also Punjabi.
Geet- Accha? Vahan aap kahan rehte hain?
Maan- Mera bunglow Chandigarh mein hain aur vahan Khurana Constructions ka Head Office bhi hain.
Geet- Oh, main to Jalandhar se hoon.
Maan- Oh, to Doaba ki ladki hain.
Geet- Ji han
Maan smiled.
Geet- Due to my blindness, Nani never bothered to go back to Punjab.
Maan- Geet, haven't you ever tried going to a doctor and trying surgery.
Geet- I can't afford it. We barely have enough money for the house morgtage, loans, the coffee shop, our car and alot more. Surgery is way out of our league.
Maan- Oh.
Geet- But I don't want surgery anyway. I deserve to live in a black world.
Maan- Why?
Geet- I can't tell you.
Maan- Yes you can. We're friends.
Geet- I know, and thank you, but I'm just not ready.
Maan- When will you be ready?
Geet- yeh sab janne se aapko kya milega?
Maan- Chain
Geet- Lekin mujhe nahi. Mujhe kabhi chain nahi aayega yeh sab batakar. Mujhe to sirf dar lagega.
Maan- Dar? Kis baat ki?
Geet- Aapko khone ki. Apne dost ko khone ki.
Maan- Geet, believe me, I will always be there for you.
Geet- Sorry, itni taqat nahi hain mujhmein aapko yeh sab batane mein.
Maan- Main tumhara taqat bankar rehonga Geet. Batao mujhe.
Geet- Nahi Maan. Nahi.
Maan didn't want to force Geet or make her feel uncomfortable.
Maan- Sorry if I made you uncomfortable. I was just curious. Whenever you are ready, mujhe jaroor batana.
