I am really looking forward to this FF...Yes it is a very serious issue.

I was 17 when I took garbage from my house to throw in the MCD dustbin. As I placed the garbage, I heard some sound. First I thought it was an animal...maybe a puppy but then I saw a small hand. It was a baby...I was too young to comprehend anything. How can baby be in a garbage bin. I was scared. Tears came out of my eyes. I went home running and crying and got my mom outside.

It was baby girl...barely few days old. My mom called police and they took the girl away.

Even today, when I ever think of that incident tears roll out of my eyes. After a long time I remembered it today...please girls only one request...handle it sensitively...

In my own extended families, I have seen taunts being hurled at girls when they were born...thankfully no violence and extreme measures but then not ever body is lucky...

My parents love me a lot but my own mom told me that my grandmother didn't cuddle me till i was 3 months old and that too after a major showdown with my dad...my grandma eventually accepted me and loved me too...i am lucky that my family have adored me my whole life but who knows what happens in other households...

I used to live in Delhi...capital of India...modern city but sometimes i really wonder

Sorry for such a long comment but your prologue just hit a nerve with me...
