"You took me to a lingerie store?" Khushi hissed looking around.
"No actually a sex shop."
"What!" Khushi shrieked hysterically. "You idiot!" She said and hit him in the shoulder.
"I'm kidding Gupta. It's a clothing store that specializes in lingerie."
Khushi narrowed her eyes at him. Before she could say anything though, a woman came up to them. She was a bit older with a mane of fine gray hair and a friendly smile.
"Arnaav?"
"Ah, Pam, you look radiant this evening." Arnaav commented then kissed her cheek.
"Still a charmer I see."
Arnaav gave her a cheeky smile.
"Now who's the young lady with you?"
Arnaav turned to the side so that she could really see Khushi. "Pam this is Khushi Kumari Gupta. Gupta this is an old friend of my mum's, Pam."
"Oh my Khushi Kumari Gupta. Is it really?" Pam asked.
"Yep. We need new clothes for her. Obviously." Arnaav mouthed the last word so Khushi missed it.
"Oh hush boy." Pam said then crossed the length to Khushi. "Hmmm." She said then took a large part of Khushi's baggy shirt and fisted it so that it clung to her. "32C correct?"
Khushi blushed bright red while Arnaav stared wide eyed.
"You have great potential to be quite beautiful young lady."
"Um thank you." Khushi said awkwardly. Once they were out of here she was going to murder Raizada.
"So Arnaav what kinds of clothes do you have in mind?"
"Pajamas for one." Arnaav said looking at her outfit in disgust. Khushi crossed her arms and glared at him. "Some work clothes that will show her figure. Casual outfits too. Make sure there's a couple of sundresses. Also a few cocktail dresses. An evening gown too. And the frilliest, laciest lingerie you can find. Some decent ones too I guess." Arnaav said thoughtfully.
Khushi stood there with her mouth agape. "Arnaav Singh Raizada' you' I' you' I am not!" Khushi sputtered.
"Gupta would you just come out already?" Arnaav yelled into the private dressing room as he sat on one of the lounge chairs.
"No!"
"Christ woman it can't be that bad."
"I look like a 'harlot!"
"Gupta I don't think that's even remotely pos-" Arnaav stopped in mid sentence.
Khushi had flung the curtains open. "Who in their right minds would wear this to sleep?"
Arnaav didn't say anything. He couldn't help but stare at the exposed skin and there was a lot of it.
"Honey you don't wear that to sleep you wear that for other' purposes." Pam said as she winked. "Here's some undergarments for you to try too." Then walked out again.
"Raizada eyes up here!" Khushi said using the curtains to cover herself.
Arnaav was a little sad when his view was taken away.
"Dear Merlin. You're such a guy." Khushi rolled her eyes.
"Thank you."
"Not a compliment." Khushi growled.
Arnaav just gave her his infuriating smirk.
Khushi groaned before closing the curtains. "I'm changing."
"Okay, but hand me the garment when you're done."
"Why, so you see can if it fits you?"
"Gupta." Arnaav said making a face. "That's disgusting."
"If the shoe fits."
"What? Aren't you trying on clothes?" Arnaav asked confused.
"Nevermind, It's a saying." Khushi sighed as she opened the curtain again. This time she wore a fitted pencil skirt and a blouse. But the blouse's v-neck plunged a bit too much, showing more skin than Khushi liked.
"Put you hair up." Arnaav said a bit dazed.
"What?"
"Gupta just do it."
Khushi gave him a weird look but put her hair up in a bun nonetheless.
Arnaav immediately regretted telling her to do so. When he was at university he used to imagine teachers and librarians that would jump on their desks and release their hair from their stiff up do's, shaking it to sexy windblown hair' at the moment Gupta looked exactly like his dream librarian.
"Did you have a fetish for Professor Nandkishori or something?"
"What no! Where's you get that idea?"
"You're staring at me like a piece of meat and I currently look like Nandkishori."
"If she looked like you do now, I would've paid a lot more attention during class." Arnaav murmured.
" A little louder please." Khushi said not hearing him. Thankfully.
After a few more outfits that Arnaav yayed or nayed Khushi was exhausted.
Arnaav didn't miss the yawn that Khushi tried to conceal as she modeled the long black dress that he dubbed the nun dress. He looked at his watch. It was a bit past midnight.
"Change back to those hideous sorry excuse for pajamas Gupta. I've got to take you back home before you fall asleep on me."
"They are not hideous."
"Gupta they are."
Khushi threw her hands up into the air just giving up on the stupid fight.
Arnaav couldn't help but laugh at her.
"Pam we'll be back again. She's really tired."
"I see. If I find things I will save for you."
"Thank you Pam." Arnaav kissed her cheek. "For now we'll take these six items." Arnaav handed her the night gown, the work outfit, a casual dress that even blew his mind, two pairs of lingerie he'd had to force her to show him, and a cocktail dress. "The Clothes are Fireproof. Right?"
"You're so paranoid Raizada."' Khushi rolled her eyes.
"No I just know you Gupta."
Khushi didn't know what else to say so she stuck her tongue out at the boy.
"Mature." Arnaav said leaning on the counter leisurely.
"Pam if you would mail me the check, I'll-"
"Gupta I already paid for them."
"What but how, I've only been gone like a couple of minutes."
"Each was ringed on Arnaav's store card the moment he approved of it." Lisa explained.
Khushi's jaw dropped. "You have a store card?"
The minute Khushi's head hit the pillow she was out. However Arnaav had a hard time finding sleep. All sorts of thoughts ran through his mind. Lavanya was prettier than Gupta yes, but he couldn't see why Malik would trade her for Gupta. Gupta was intelligent almost to a fault. Her witty come backs were much more enlightening than Lavanya's the hottest style is blah blah blah. To tell the truth this evening was more fun than any date he'd ever had with Lavanya. Arnaav fell asleep smiling when he thought of what Malik's face would look like when he was done giving Gupta her makeover.
Khushi shot out of bed realizing that she'd overslept her alarm clock. It was 6:20, she had less than thirty minutes to be ready. Quickly taking a shower she almost tripped getting out. It took her five minutes alone putting on her jeans because she couldn't seem to even remember how to put it on. She brushed her teeth as she made herself a coffee and some toast. She then put on clothes that were in her draws. Just as she about to get out of the house, there was a knock on her door.
Khushi groaned before answering knowing she'd be late.
"I have to say that's a hideous outfit Gupta."
"You don't have to say anything." Khushi snapped. "Look I'm about to be late so-"
"Gupta it's Saturday."
Khushi blinked. "It's Saturday." She said dazed.
"It's Saturday." Arnaav repeated steadily.
"Oh. So I got dressed for nothing." Khushi said looking down at herself.
"That's getting dressed?"
"Oh shut up Raizada. What is your obsession with making fun of my clothes?"
"I'm trying to subtly tell you that you need to throw out your whole wardrobe except the clothes you just got yesterday."
"Subtle my butt." Khushi snorted.
"How lady like." Arnaav said dryly.
"I repeat shut up Raizada."
"I will once you put on the dress we bought yesterday."
"We? Don't you mean you forced me to try on and then you bought it?"
"Details." Raizada waved his hand as he came in.
"If I say no what are you going to do?"
"You don't want to know Gupta."
Khushi looked at herself in the mirror. The dress was gorgeous but was just a bit much for just going out. And it was not the kind of dress she'd ever worn before or even dreamed of wearing.
"Are you decent?"
"No!"
"I'm coiming in."
"Arnaav Singh Raizada!" Khushi shrieked.
"Darn you were lying. Should've known though."
Khushi scowled at him. "And what if I wasn't? Give me a reason not to Kick you." Khushi whirled around to face him.
"I'm too handsome."
"Not good enough bud." Khushi said poking him in the chest.
"And we're going now." Arnaav said before she could do any harm once again draggin her out of the house and to his car.
This time though Khushi was more prepared.
"This reminds me that I haven't murdered you for yesterday yet." Khushi said as soon as she felt themselves come to a halt.
"Uh huh Gupta. Now open your eyes."
"I'm not sure if I want to."
"You can walk around like an idiot if you like doesn't really matter to me."
Khushi reluctantly opened her eyes. Pristine walls of marble white surrounded them. But then she noticed the sinks and chairs and such. She was at the hair dressers.
"E'llo Aranhaaav." A thick accent came.
Khushi turned around to face the voice and almost wanted to swoon as soon as she saw him. Gorgeous blck hair probably even finer than Raizada's. Green eyes stared back, they were a warm green that reminded her of spring. The accent was even gorgeous she guessed it was an Austrailian accent. Which one though she was unsure. Either way he was one of the most handsome people she had ever seen.
"Mohit this is your newest project." Arnaav said breaking Khushi away from her revere.
"Ahh I see. Fal'o me."
"I'll follow you anywhere." Khushi accidentally whispered out loud.
Both guys stopped. Arnaav frowned while Mohit just gave a merry laugh.
"E like hir already." Khushi felt like swooning at his accent.
Arnaav noticed this and scowled. "Enough with the accent Mohy."
"But the lady likes it." Mohit said in a perfect English accent. Khushi blinked at the transformation.
Arnaav didn't answer.
"Ah possessive no?"
