Part 61

G: Maan! i know you since my childhood

Maan's heart skips a beat. He turns around and looks at Geet. He couldn't believe what he just heard. Geet is staring at him.

M: (st) ye Geet kya keh rahi hai? Does she really know me since her childhood? But how?

Maan walks back to the bed, sits opposite to Geet and looks into her eyes questioningly.

Geet decides to tell Maan about her love for him since her childhood. But she is wondering how to tell that without giving him any hint about his mother. She becomes nervous. She closes her eyes and prays to babaji

G: (st) hey babaji! Please give me the strength to tell Maan about me. isme koi galti na ho babaji!

Maan notices Geet's restlessness. He is silently looking at her closed eyes and waiting for her to speak further.

Few seconds later, Geet opens her eyes and takes a deep breath. Both of them couldn't imagine what is going to happen now.

Silence preavails for few more minutes. Maan breaks the silence

M: kya hua Geet? tum itni pareshan kyun lag rahi ho?

G: Maan! i am scared

Maan pulls her into a gentle hug

M: Geet! tum mujse darne ke koi zarurat nahi hai. main tumara Maan hu

She holds his shirt tightly to calm down herself

M: aage bolo Geet. How do you know me?

Geet composes herself and talks in soft tone

G: please Maan! Don't ask me how i know you. i can't tell you that

Not wanting to hurt her by asking too much about her past, Maan keeps quiet

G: Maan! Now i am going to tell you something. Please don't ask me any cross questions. Hmmm?

M: hmmm

G: Maan! i love you since my childhood

Maan's heart beats quicken. Geet can feel his erratic heart beats.

He never imagined in his wildest dreams that the girl he loves for two years, would have been in love with him since her childhood.

Maan recalls the times when he had been impatiently waiting for every Sunday to see Geet for few minutes secretly. He remembers how he had been hiding behind a tree to see her. Now he is super duper happy to know that geet had been hiding maan inside her heart at all those times.

G: I don't know when exactly I fell in love with you. Since my childhood I have been feeling something for you. At that time I was too young to understand what that feeling was.

Maan recalls how clueless he was about his feelings for her when he met her for the first time in that slum 2 years ago.

He wonders, whether it is the invisible power of Geet's long time love for him that made him fall for her at the first sight.

G: Maan! Do you remember the day you left for London for your post-graduation? It was one of the saddest days of my life. I cried a sea. For few days, I had been hallucinating you everywhere. I couldn't concentrate on anything. That is when i realised that it is impossible for me to live without you.

Maan recalls how restless he was, a year ago when Geet had suddenly disappeared for one month, how he was dying to see her and his realisation of his love for her.

G: when you were in London, vicky used to tease me saying, "when MB comes back to India, definitely he will bring a girl along with him. There is no chance for you to become Mrs. MSK"

Maan recalls how he didn't even know if she will ever come back, how he doubted that she got married to some stupid and settled down in her life, how he wanted to kill himself for imagining her with some other unknown person.

G: but Maan! My heart was always telling me that you are mine

Maan recalls how he himself believed that she is his and how his heart was always telling him that she will come back to him.

G: Though i believed in my love for you, something was bothering me in the corner of my heart. I kept on praying to babaji that no girl in London should like you, all the girls in your college should have a boy friend even before joining your college, all your lady lecturers should have got married etc.,. There were numerous silly prayers like this. Finally babaji listened to all the silly prayers of this stupid girl and sent you back to India as Geet's Maan. do you know how relieved and happy i was to see you back after a long gap.

Maan recalls the day when Geet came back to that slum after a month and how he felt relieved as if his soul has returned to his body.

G: I always believed in my love Maan. That is why I came to the mandap and lied to you so confidently that I am your wife. I believed that you will accept my love one day.

Maan recalls how he believed in his love for her and how confident he was that she will understand his feelings for her when he went to confess a year ago.

He understands that Geet has also trusted her love for him as much as he has trusted his live for her.

G: But Maan! To tell you the truth, when I came to the mansion, I didn't even imagine that you will accept me so soon. Till this moment I couldn't believe that you love me and confessed it also.

Maan recalls how he couldn't believe his eyes when he saw Geet in the mandap after a year. seven days ago Maan himself had not imagined that he will ever see her and confess to her

Without expecting any reply from Maan, Geet keeps on talking.

Maan didn't want to think anything about the numerous questions popping into his mind, like how does she know him, who had been giving her the information about him, etc.,. At this moment, he just wants to let her say whatever she has been hiding in her heart for years.

G: Maan i have missed you for 24 years of my life. But i can not anymore.

She hugs him tightly. he too tightens the hug, closes his eyes. Both are lost in the hug and thinking about the divine bond that has been linking them together for years.

M: (st) geet! we both have gone through the same ordeals for each other without the knowledge of each other. Love is strange.

A year ago, Maan thought that he never going to meet this girl again in his life. He had been thinking that she will never know that a man called Maan Singh Khurana lives in this world and he loves her more than anyone.

But today she is in his arms and telling him that she loves him since her childhood. For him everything sounds too magical to belive. He is having a hard time in figuring out whether these are happening for real or it is his dream.

He never imagined that a happy day like this will ever come into his life. he feels that he is the luckiest person on the entire planet. Except his mother and karan, no one had made him to feel so special about himself. Geet is making maan to feel jealous of himself.

G: Maan! Instead of thinking about each other's past, why can't we start our new life and live happily forever?

Maan realises that Geet has been craving for his love for years as much as he has been craving for her. He wants to give her all the happiness of life.

But he didn't know what to reply to her now. He wanted to tell Geet about his love story and his connection with nandhini's death. but Geet has totally changed the scence by telling her love story.

He is not yet sure how Geet is going to react when he tells her about nandhini's death. Though his heart is telling him that Geet will forgive him, his mind is warning him not to take any risk now. he fears that Geet will be shattered when she comes to know that the person whom she loves and trusts for years, had failed to save her sister's life. so, for the time being he decides not to tell Geet anything about his 2 years old love story and nandhini's death. all he wants now is to give Geet all the happiness of life.

At the same time, Maan didn't want to take their relation to next stage before telling Geet about nandhini's death. he is totally confused now. he didn't know what to do next.

Geet is relieved that she has told him everything about the feelings she had been hiding in her heart for years. She feels like her heart has become so light like a feather.

Geet is wondering why Maan is silent.

G: Maan! kuch boliyena

Maan comes out of his selfthoughts.

M: Geet! thank you so much for coming into my life. now i feel that i am the happiest man in the world. Geet! you are making me feel jealous of myself. i love you Geet.

Though Maan didn't answer her question directly, Geet is contended by his words.

Though they are very simple words, they mean a lot to her.

Maan thinks for sometime and he decides to postpone both their official wedding as well as his plan to tell Geet about nandhini's death.

he parts Geet from his hug and kisses her forehead.

M: Geet! bohat raat ho chuki hai. let us sleep now

G: ji

Both are laying on the bed facing each other and closes their eyes. Maan turns off the lights.

Both couldn't sleep. they are going through various emotions like, the sadness (about their past), happiness, contentment, dreams about their new life, etc.,

Maaneet are trying very hard to sleep. but they couldn't succeed.

Both realises that the other one is also not able to sleep. After few minutes, they are starting their nok-jhok to ease each other...

G: Maan

M: haan Geet

G: have you slept?

M: hmmm

G: don't lie Maan

M: no Geet! i am telling the truth. i have slept. Actually right now i am dreaming. Don't disturb me

G: acha Maan. Are you dreaming?

M: hmmm

G: who have come into your dream?

M: i won't tell you

G: kyun?

M: kyunki...i can't tell you

G: Maan! now tell me warna...

M: warna kya?

G: please Maan! tell me who is your sapnon ki rani?

Maan decides to tease her for sometime

M: teek hai. now let me show you who is that. are you ready to see her?

G: hmmm

M: but Geet! i don't think that you are strong enough to see her

G: yesa kuch nahi hai

M: are you sure?

G: 200%

M: later don't tell me that i didn't warn you

G: ji

M: (st) acha Geet! ab dekho...now you are going to take back your words

Maan opens his eyes and turns on the lights. Geet also opens her eyes and looks at Maan.

Maan grabs Geet's wrist, pulls her close to him and looks into her eyes. now there is only a few inches gap between them. Geet's heart almost stops. somehow she manages to speak

G: (stammers) Maan!... ye... aap kya... kar rahe hain?

M: (teases) Geet! you only wanted to see my sapnon ki rani na?

G: tho?

M: now look into my eyes and see for yourself who is she

Now Geet is too weak to look inot his eyes. she is breathing heavily and trying to avoid his gaze.

Maan is enjoying Geet's restlessness and he smiles. Geet tries to release herself from Maan's hold.

G: Maan! please mere haath chodiye

M: you were so stubborn to see my sapno ki rani. ab kya hua Geet? are you nervous?

She pleads him to leave her

G: please Maan

Maan has lost it. He goes into romantic mood

M: Geet! ek bar mere aankohn mein dekhlo. Then you will know who is my dream girl

Geet refuses to meet his eyes

G: mujhe kuch nahi dekni hai

M: sirf ek bar Geet

G: Maan! shaadi se pehle ye sab galat hai. ab mere haath chodiye

M: aise kaise chodunga?

G: matlab?

M: matlab...i won't leave you until you look into my eyes

Geet closes her eyes tightly

G: (st) hey babaji! Ye maine kahan phas gayi. Ye Maan ko jaldi teek karna babaji

M: Geet! now open your eyes

G: nahi

Maan whispers in Geet's ears

M: Geet! ab aankhein kholo...warna...

Geet couldn't imagine what he is going to do next. She gathers all her strength and pushes him hard away from her. thud... now our tai-chi king Maan Singh Khurana literally falls down from the bed.

After few seconds, he comes back to his senses and screams

M: ouch...

Geet is shocked by her act. She opens her eyes and looks at the bed. Maan was not there.

G: hey babaji! Maan kahan hai?

Maan replies from the floor

M: Geet! main yahan hu

(haha...It reminds me of the song "jaanam dekh lo mitt gaye dooriyan... main yahan hu...main yahan hu...". hey guys! can any of you remix this song for our poor MSK to suit this situation?)

Geet crawls to the edge of the bed and looks down at the floor. Maan is laying there in a pitiable condition.

G: Maan! aap wahan kya kar rahe hai? aap teek tho hena?

Maan is not injured that much thanks to his built-up body. But he starts to act as if he is injured very badly

M: oh my hip...Geet! why did you pushed me?

G: i am sorry Maan

M: you and your sorry. I don't want your sorry

Without knowing his intention, Geet asks innocently

G: phir aap kya chathe hai Maan?

M: (teases) now come close to me. i will tell you

Geet understands that Maan is acting and she too starts to show him her acting skills.

G: (st) dust danav. He has become so naughty.

Geet asks innocently as if she doesn't know what happened now

G: kya hua Maan? why are you still laying on the floor? Ab utiyena

M: Geet! you have broken my hip joints. How could i get up?

G: (fake shock) kya?

M: haan Geet. my hip has gone.

G: hey babaji! Ab hum kya karenge?

M: Geet! now i am not able to get up from the floor

G: koi bath nahi Maan! aap chinta math keejiye. Main hu na?

Maan thinks that Geet is going to give her hand to help him to get up from the floor.

M: (st) ab aayega asli mazza

But our intelligent Geet picks a pillow from the bed and throws it on Maan. he is shocked

M: Geet! ye tum kya kar rahi ho? instead of helping me to get up from the floor, why are you throwing the pillow on me?

G: Maan! don't bother to get up from the floor now. until our shaadi, the floor is the right place for you to sleep. ab sojayiye

Maan grinds his teeth

M: Geettt!!!!!

G: good night Maan

Geet turns off the lights, lays on the bed and closes her eyes.

Maan gets up from the floor, lays on the bed and closes his eyes. geet senses that maan is again on the bed. But she didn't turn towards him. she is keeping her eyes closed and trying to sleep.

M: (st) ye geet bhi na? today i confessed my love to her and just now she told me her 24 years old love story. But she is treating me as if i am a stranger. Main kya karu is pagal ladki ki saath?

Maan smiles at his thought and closes his eyes.

M: (st) sweet dreams Maan

(OMG!!!! MSK wishes himself sweetdreams. I donno...what will happen in his dream...babaji! Geet ko raksha karna...lol..)
