Part 56

Maan has lost his self control. He comes more closer. Geet starts to breath heavily. Maan whispers in geet's ear

M: geet! don't you want me...

He stops and reads geet's reactions. geet is feeling butterflies in her stomach.

Maan realises what he is doing and he moves away from geet with a jerk. Maan curses himself for losing his selfcontrol.

M:(st) bas! bohat jyada hogaya. maan! ab khud ko control karo

Maan goes to MSK mode and talks in a cold voice

M: geet! yahan se chali jao

Geet looks at maan. but he turns his gaze away from her

M: jao geet

Geet is confused and hurt

G: (st) achanak ye maan ko kya hogaya? just now he was fine na? now why is he behaving like this?

Maan goes and sits on his seat showing his back to geet.

G: maan!

M: tum ne suna nahi maine kya kaha? Jao yahan se

G: teek hai maan! main chalti hu. take care of yourself

Not wanting to argue with him, geet leaves silently. Maan senses that geet is leaving. But he didn't turn around to see her. maan closes his eyes

M: (st) geet aur mere zindagi ke saath ye maine kya kar raha hu? ye teek nahi hai maan.

Maan recalls geet's words," Maan! when i am with you i feel more secured. Aap mujse kabhi door math jayiye"

M: (st) but geet! i have lost 2 most precious people of my life. how do you expect me to take risk in your case?

Maan is in such a confused state. He could not take a bold decision in geet's case. The fear of unknown is killing him. not wanting to risk geet's life, he decides to stay away from her.

M: (st) yes maan! tum geet se door rahna hi padega.

As soons as geet reaches her maika, she calls maan's mobile.

M: (st) why is she calling me now?

Maan attensds the call

M: hello!

G: maan! i have reached my maika safely

Maan tries to be harsh on geet.

M: geet! i am busy now

Saying this maan cuts the call without waiting for her reply. Geet is hurt.

G: (st) what happened to maan? i just called to assure him that i am fine. I am just trying to bring him out of his so called fear. But why he is behaving as if he does not like to talk to me? chodo geet...he may be really busy with some work

M: (st) i am sorry geet! i know, you would be hurt by my behaviour. But geet, whenever i hurt you, i am hurting myself too. I am doing this for your good. Geet! I can not play this double role anymore. I have to be strong in my decision.

Maan decides to go away from all these things for few days. so he leaves for jungle camping without informing anyone.

It is 10.30pm...

Geet is lost in maan's thoughts. She is trying to figure out why maan is behaving so contradictorily.

G: (st) babaji! I don't know why maan is having this fear of losing me. please help me to bring him out of this.

Geet thinks to talk to maan and she calls his mobile.

Maan is driving towards the jungle and his mobile rings. Maan attends the call without checking the name

M: hello

G: maan! main geet bol rahi hu

Maan did not want geet to know anything about his state of mind. he fears that, if he talks to her now, he may lose his control and blurt out his feelings. So he cuts the call without talking to her.

Geet is confused

G: why did he cut the call?

Geet again tries maan's mobile. maan cuts the call without attending it.

Geet calls the mansion landline number and chandu informs her that maan did not come back yet. Geet is shocked

G: (st) where is he now?

Geet calls adi's mobile and enquires about maan. adi informs her that maan has left office in the evening itself.

Geet is agitated. Geet tries maan's mobile non stop. After some time maan picks the call and shouts at her

M: geet! what do you want now? why are you disturbing me like this?

Geet hears the horn sound and other vehicle sound. she ignores his harsh words and asks him with concern

G: maan! where are you now? where are you going?

M: geet! i don't have time for your stupid questions

Geet senses that something is fishy

G: maan! jawab deejiye

M: who are you geet? why should i bother to answer your questions?

Geet is hurt

G: please maan!

M: do you really want to know where i am going? Teek hai. sun lo...i am going in search of a place where i can live without your torture. You know why... as long as you are with me i can not live in peace.

Maan cuts the call and switches off his mobile. Geet is shattered by his words.

Maan knows that the way he behaves with geet is wrong. But he has no choice. he curses himself for being so harsh on geet.

Geet tries calling maan's mobile frequently. But his mobile remains swictched off. Geet is more agitated.

G: (st) hey babaji! Ye kya horaha hai? where is maan going now? unko raksha karna babaji

Geet is restless. She is worried about maan's safety. She tells the matter to ajay and vicky. Geet asks adi's help to search for maan. all of them are starting to search for maan

(i wonder, if our MSK goes missing, where to search for him. i squeezed my brain. But i did not get any idea. Donno...how geet&Co., are going to search for him)

2 days later...

In the jungle...

For 2 days maan manages to keep his mind firm in his decision to stay away from geet. but the third day he fails miserably. His heart is longing to hear geet's voice atleast. He goes to a PCO in the nearby village and calls geet's mobile.

Geet attends the call

G: maan!

Maan's heart skips a bit

M:(st) how does geet know it is me? i didn't even say a hello

G: maan!

M:...

G: maan! i know it is you. now say something

maan closes his eyes

G: maan! where are you now?

Maan did not know what to reply to her. he is mumb

G: maan! i know, you are on the line. Please talk to me

Maan's heart is aching

G: please maan! Don't do this to me. please talk to me.

Maan is finding it difficult to control himself from talking to geet

G: maan! i know, as long as i am here in the mansion, you won't come back. You need not stay out of your home because of me. i am leaving the mansion...i am leaving your life forever. please come back maan

Maan could not take this anymore. he cuts the call. maan is shattered by geet's words "i am leaving the mansion...i am leaving your life forever. please come back maan"

M: (st) does geet mean it? Why is she talking like this?

Maan could not stop himself from seeing geet anymore. So he decides to go back to the mansion.

Maan reaches the mansion. but geet was not there. Maan is shocked

M: (st) has geet really left the mansion? how could she leave me like this?

Maan could't believe that.

He asks dadima and others. But no one is talking to him. Maan is annoyed by their behaviour and he leaves for office in search of geet.

Maan enters into KC. He feels like geet is there. He starts to search for geet and finally he finds her in adi's cabin. adi is explaining some work to geet. both geet and adi are lost in the work and they did not notice maan.

maan is relieved to see geet there and he calls her

M: geet!

Geet turns towards him and tears gather in her eyes. Maan knows that he is the reason for her tears. Adi leaves his cabin to give maaneet privacy

maan walks to geet and stands infront of her. geet turns her gaze away from maan. he understands that geet is very angry with him.

M: geet!

G: ...

M: geet! mere taraf dekho geet

Maan turns her face towards him and he cups her face and apologise to her

M: i am sorry geet

But geet did not reply anything. still she is looking at somewhere else.

M: geet! i should not have done like that

Geet pushes his hands off her face and walks towards the door. Maan grasps her arm and pulls her towards him.

G: mujhe jane deejiye sir

Maan is shocked by the word 'Sir'.

M: geet!!!

G: ...

M: please geet. don't do this to me

G: ...

M: geet! i am sorry geet. mujse galti hogayi

G: please sir! don't talk about personal matters in office. Our MD doesn't like this

Saying this geet releases herself from maan's hold and turns to walk out of the cabin. maan notices a bandage on geet's wrist. He is shocked. He goes infront of her and stops her. he takes her hand into his and caresses her wrist.

M: kya hua geet? ye kya hai?

Geet did not reply

M: geet! tum teek tho hena?

G: why do you care?

M: geet please...

G: mujhe jane deejiye sir

M: geet! bolo geet! what happened to you?

G: why do you care if i am alive or not?

M: stop it geet

G: mere haath chodiye

M: geet! i won't leave you

G: but i have left you maan...forever

M: geet! tum pagal hogaya kya?

Geet bursts out into tears

G: haan! Pagal hogayi hu main...aap ke baarein me soch soch kar.

Maan holds geet by her shoulders

G: all of a sudden, you went missing for 4 days. patha hai...main kitne pareshan hogayi. I was searching for you like a mad.

M: geet...

G: maine yesa kya galti ki maan? why are you punishing me like this? you have almost killed me maan!

Maan could not see her like that. he pulls her to him and hugs her tightly. Geet cries uncontrollably, burying her face in his chest.

M: geet! main jaantha hu ki mujse galti hogaye. Par geet...what can i do? I am helpless. You can't understand what i am going through ...

Suddenly geet comes out of his embrace. Maan is shocked

M: geet!

G: just leave me alone

Maan touches her shoulder

G: don't touch me.

M: geet!!!

G: no maan! as long as i am with you, you can not live in peace. Stay away from me

Maan is shattered by her words. geet could not stand there anymore. She runs from there. Still Maan could not believe that geet will ever take such a decision.

After some time maan composes himself and calls adi to his cabin and enquires him.

M: adi! what happened in these 4 days?

Adi: sir! Wo..wo...

M: bolo adi. what happened to geet?

Adi: sir! Geet met a small accident.

Maan's heart almost stops.

M: what? accident?

Adi: haan sir! 2 days ago, we all were searching for you. when Geet and her younger brother Vicky were going in search of you, it was raining and their motorbike slipped away. Both geet and Vicky had fallen from the bike

Maan's heart beats quicken

M: adi! what are you saying?

Adi: but sir...there is nothing to worry. Luckily it was a small accident. Both Vicky and geet are alright now.

M: (st) ye maine kya kiya? In order to stay away from geet, i have put her in troubles. I wanted to go away from geet for the sake of her safety. but she is not safe in my absence. Ab main kya karu?

Maan realises that geet needs him as much as he needs her.

M: (st) maan! you have the responsibility to protect geet. simply running away from geet, will not ensure her safety. You have to be there for her.

He makes up his mind to be with geet forever .

M:(st) geet! hereafter, i will not run away from my life. i am Maan Singh Khurana. I can protect you from all the problems. i am not afraid of losing you anymore. i will never let anything happen to you geet.

Maan leaves for the mansion in search of geet. but she was not there. Maan asks dadima and others. But no one is replying to him.

Maan shouts at them. But they are too stubborn to open their mouth

M: dadima! don't do this to me. please tell me where is geet?

Dadi: she has left the mansion

M: what?

Dadi: haan maan! you only told her na...as long as she is with you, you can not live in peace. So she went out of your life forever

M: no... you are lying dadima. my geet will never leave me like that. i won't let her go away from me

Maan calls geet's mobile. but she is not picking the call. maan is more agitated

Maan calls adi and asks him for geet's maika address. But adi also did not know the address. Maan is totally helpless.

M: (st) where is geet? where will i search for her? what if geet does not come back to me forever?

Maan could not imagine beyond that

M: (st) geet! where did you come from? Where did you go? Come back to me geet. come back to me. i will never let you go away from me

Maan did not know where to search for her. suddenly geet's words comes to his mind," Maan! i am saving my brothers' mobile numbers and my maika's landline number also. Whenever you get a feeling that i may be in some trouble, you just ring me"

Maan take his mobile and calls vicky's number and vicky attends the call.

Vicky: hello!

M: vicky! Main maan bol raha hu. geet kahan hai?

Vicky: geet has slept MB

M: give the phone to geet. i need to talk to her immediately.

Vicky: MB! Geet is not feeling well. I can't disturb her now

M: what happened to her?

Vicky: nothing to worry MB. Just head ache

M: vicky! Please do me a favour

Vicky: anything for you MB

M: now give me your home address. I need to see geet immediately

Vicky: MB! Is anything wrong? Why are you so tensed?

M: vicky! Don't ask me anything. now give me the address.

Vicky: haan! Note keejiye

After getting the address from vicky, Maan rushes to geet's maika.

@geet's maika

Maan reaches geet's home and knocks at the door. Vicky opens the door. Vicky is very shocked to see maan's condition. he couldn't bear to see maan like that.

Vicky: MB! Kya hua?

M: geet kahan hai?

Vicky understands that something is fishy. so he silently shows geet's room to maan

Maan enters inside geet's room and locks the door.

Geet is sleeping. Maan sits on the bed next to geet and takes her in his arms and rests her head on his chest and he hugs her

M: geet!

Geet is in deep sleep

M: i am sorry geet

Tears roll down maan's cheek and falls on geet's face. geet's sleep is disturbed. She opens her eyes and looks at maan's face. she comes out of maan's embrace

Geet couldn't believe her eyes. She rubs her eyes and sees him again

G: maan! aap?

Seeing maan in such a heart wrenching state, Geet has forgotten whatever happened in the last 3 days. Tears gather in her eyes. She cups maan's face and asks softly

G: kya hua Maan?

Maan hugs Geet tightly. Geet is more worried about him. she hugs him assuringly

G: Maan aap teek tho hena?

M: no Geet! main bilkul teek nahi hu

Geet tries to comfort him

G: don't worry Maan! everything is going to be alright

M: tere bina main teek nahi ho saktha geet

Geet tightens the hug

M: Geet! in 7 days, you have broken the wall which i had been building for a year. i thought that nothing in this world is impossible for Maan Singh Khurana. But Geet! you have proved me wrong. I can't stay away from you.

Geet is feeling his heartbeats

M: geet! i know, you love me. i am sure, whatever you said in the office, is not from your heart. you can not stay away from me. hena geet?

G: hmmm

M: geet! i will never ask you to leave me. i need you geet...i need you forever

Geet is lost in his words

M: I love you geet. i can't live without you

Finally he has said what she wanted to hear. She is super duper happy. She closes her eyes to cherish the moment. Maan kisses geet's forehead and her eyes. His heart calms down and he closes his eyes.

For few minutes silence prevails there. Both are lost in the hug. Though maan knows that geet will never say 'no' to him, he is anxiously waiting for her reply. But geet didn't say anything

M: geet!

G: hmmm

geet is not ready to reply to him that easily. She decides to tease maan for sometime

M: kuch bolo geet

G: sone deejiye maan

Maan is amused and shocked by her words

M: geet! tum isi waqt bhi so rahi ho kya?

G: hmmm

M: did you hear what i way saying for all these times?

G: nahi

Maan is more shocked

M: kya?

G: what did you say maan?

M: geet! i was confessing

G: really?

M: hmmm

G: ab ek kam keejiye. Aap ek aur bar confess keejiye

M: kya?

G: haan! I didn't hear it na

Maan understands that geet is teasing him and he smiles.

M: i love...

G: aage boliyena maan

M: i love Mrs. Msk

Geet smiles and teases him

G: maan! are you in love with someone else' wife?

M: haan geet. MSK ki biwi se mujhe pyar hogaya

G: par maan...ye tho bohat bhura bath hai. what if MSK comes to know that you are in love with his wife?

M: don't worry geet. MSK won't mind it

G: woh kaise ajeeb insaan hai?

M: geet!!!

Geet goes mute. Maan smiles.

M: geet! ek bar I love you bolo

G: no maan! ab mujhe sona hai

M: geet! sone se pehle ek bar I love you bolkar sojao

G: you made me wait for 7 days na...now wait, till i wake up from my sleep.

M: geet! this is not fair. Waise bhi...7 days are not that long

G: ...

M: geet!

G: hmmm

M: ek baar I love you bolo. Please

G: in these 7 days i have said I love you so many times. Did you care to hear them?

M: haan! In these 7 days, you have said 7 ILUs

Geet is surprised and she comes out of maan's embrace

G: acha maan! are you maintaining ILU account?

M: hmmm

G: teek hai. now you add one more to the ILU account. I love you

M: geet! zara pyar se bolo

M: hmmm
