The door bell rings and Kripa opens it. She is surprised to see Angad. They hadnt talked to each other for 3 days. Kripa just looked at him, without any expression.

A: hi kripa....can i come in?

Kripa looks at him for a few more seconds and then turns around and lets him in. He looks at her and then enters the house.

K: tum baitho, mein coffee banake lati hu

A(stops her): uh KRIPA!

Kripa, surprised, turns around and looks at him.

A: uh woh.....kuch nahi

A: mom aur dad?

K: ghar pe koi nahi hai. woh kisi important meeting ke liye Delhi gaye hue hai

A: oh

K: ill bring the coffee

Kripa leaves to go to the kitchen and Angad closes his eyes and takes a deep breath

A:(thinking): kya soch rahi hogi kripa mere bare mein? kaise maafi mangu mein us se?

He keeps thinking and Kripa comes back with the coffee. She hands it to him and their hands acidentally touch. She quickly pulls it back and sits on the couch across from Angad. He feels uncomfortable and looks away.

K:(finally breaks the ice): what are you doing here angad?

A:(looks at her): Kripa mein.....mein yaha tumse maafi mangne aaya tha. im really sorry for what I did the other day. I really am

K: It doesnt matter angad. baar baar sorry kehne se, kuch badal nahi jaata. I know i shouldnt have.........but whatever youre doing, its not fair

A: lekin kripa mein..........

K: dekho angad. woh tumhari behen ki engagement hai. aur har ladki jab apne shaadi ke bare mein sochti hai, to woh chahti hai ki uske family ka har member usme shaamil ho. kya tum aaliya ka yeh sapna aise tod donge?

A: Kripa woh meri behen hai, yeh tumhe mujhe batane ki zaroorat nahi hai. main bhi uske engagement mein shaamil hona chahta hoon. lekin mere usool bhi to.....

K: usool? kaise usool angad? kya tumhare usool tumhari behen ki khushiyo se bhi badkar hai? aakhir tum itne zidd par kyon adde ho? kya itne khudgarz ho tum angad?

A: Kripa please. Jab tumhe sachai nahi pata, to koi bhi baat kehne ke pehle socha karo.

K: to sachai kya hai? agar tum mujhe bataoge nahi to mujhe kaisa pata hoga angad?

A: kya farak padta hai kripa? aakhir tum itne mahino ke baad meri zindagi mein ekdum aise wapis kyon kadam rakhna chahti ho? agar tum mujhse itni nafrat karti thi to phir mujhe tadpane ka jo tum naya khel tum khel rahi ho.....I just want to let you know that its working.

K: you think Im trying to torture you? I just want you to be happy with your family angad.

A: kyon? why all of a sudden? itne din to tum mujhse kehti thi ke tum mujhse nafrat karti ho aur maine tumhari zindagi barbad kar diya. Then one day you wake up and realize that you have to get back at me and you come to my house and act like you want to gather everything I messed up for you....and then you break my heart. Good job Kripa.....you really did break my heart!

K: break your heart? if i really wanted to break you heart I wouldnt have come to your house the other day. I wouldnt have tried to fix everything between you and your family, I wouldnt have............stop it angad! this isnt getting us anywhere....neither you, nor me!

A: Then what do you want kripa. why are you doing this?

K: me? why are you doing this Angad? why are you separating yourself from your family?

A: ----------

K: why angad?

A: Because I love you

K: what?

A: because you meant the world to me. i couldnt let your dream break like that.

K: what are you talking about angad? what does that have to do with anything?

A: I told you Kripa. you dont know the truth

K: then tell me the truth

A: When I went back to London after your engagement........

~~~~~~~FLASHBACK~~~~~~~~

Angad goes to his study and sits on the chair. He couldnt believe what had just happened. He didnt know what he was going to do but whatever it was, he had to survive. Tears were flowing and the heart was beating slower,the lights were bright but the flame was getting dimmer. He just stared into nothingness, maybe becasue that was the only thing that was left in his life.

A(thinking): NO I cant let this happen to me. I cant let her ruin my life like this. I have to live, for my family, for Aaliya, for Daadi. I have to live for them.

Having made this decision, Angad got up and went to his room. He sat down on his bed and glanced over to the side, where Kripa used to sleep. He quickly turned his head and got off the bed. He walked down to the living room and sat on the couch and turned on the TV. He remembered when Kripa and him fell asleep on the couch. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes. but when he did, all he cud see was Kripa. He threw the remote gently and stood up. He didnt know what was happening to him. He quickly went his backyard and sat on the bench with his head in his hands. He was frustrated by now. He just couldnt forget Kripa.

He suddenly found relief in a voice calling his name. He turned around to see Naina. His expression changed to one of anger. Naina noticed this and she sat next ot him on the bench. They sat there for a few minutes in absolute silence and then Naina looked at him

N: kab wapis aye?

A: In the afternoon

N: mujhe bataya nahi?

A: zaroori nahi samjha

N: jaa rahe the...yeh bhi batana zaroori nahi samjha?

A: no

N: whats wrong with you angad? you came back a week ago and said that you broke up with her. Then you run right back to her. and then you come rite back in just two days! what happened?

A: She left

N:(smiles): I knew this wud happen. I knew you would get your heart broken again. I mean i dont get why you were after her anyway. she is just another.....

A(interrupting): STOP IT MOM !!

N: me? lekin usne jo tumhare saath kiya kya woh kuch nahi? mujhe pehle hi pata tha. Kripa ek aisi ladki hai jo kisi ke bhi bare mein nahi sochti. I told you that....

A: mom please. i dont want to hear this rite now.

N: i understand. you need some time. its ok. I'll see you in the office tomorrow

A: what?

N: what? you are coming to the office tomorrow rite?

A: why would I go there? thats Kartick's job not mine mom!

N: oh come on angad. i think its about time you join the business.

A: mom apko pata hai main business nahi join karna chahta to phir aap kyon mujhe force karti hai?

N: agar tum office join nahi karoge to phir kya karna chahte ho?

A: mom you know i have a contract with......

N: oh stop. contract! contract! contract! Kab tak uss Kripa ke bataye hue raaste par chaloge? woh khud to chali gayi lekin music ka bhoot tumhare sar pe abhi bhi savaar hai. stop it angad.

A: Mom, im sorry but i m not going to join your business. I wont. Music was the most important thing for us and......

N: us? there is no "us" anymore angad! she is gone. she left you. she doesnt love you angad. and you still want to sing? are you crazy?

A: yes i am crazy. I was always crazy to think that you would ever be happy for me mom. but all you can care about is your business, your money, your position in this ******* society.

N: ANGAD!!! how dare you! I wont let you act like this. Living under my roof, you cant behave like this with your mother! You are going to come to the office tomorrow at 9 and thats final!

Naina gets up and starts to leave but angad's voice stops her.

A: do you want to hear my decision?

N:(stops and turns to look at him): what decision?

A: I'm not going to live under "your roof" mom. I'm gonna leave. i wanna move out, live my life the way....the way I want to !

N: you? no you want to live your life on her terms. and if you leave, it will be stupid of you. what do you lack here? you have all the luxuries, the money, the status, the........

A: I dont want that mom. All I ever wanted was love....your love. But now....to be honest, I deserve much more than your love. and i got that love from Kripa....but to a certain point, even you are responsible for my loss.

N: love? so now i dont love you? is that what you think? I love you a lot angad. i really do. and everything isnt over yet son. everything can still be the way it was before that girl came into our life. just the same. we can still.......

A: LOOK AT ME MOM! just look at me once. I lost mom. I lost everything.....my love, my desire to live....all I have is the desire to make someone's dream come true......just look into my eyes and tell me if you see that hunger for love anymore.

Naina looks at him and doesnt say anything

A: I quit mom! i just quit. i dont want to deal with all this anymore. Not again. I quit.

Saying this Angad leaves. Naina is in a complete shock that he would actually leave.

N: angad....angad ruko...please. listen to me angad, angad please!

But he doesnt turn around to even look at her. He keeps walking until he disappears in the bright moonlight

********FLASHBACK ENDS*****************

A: I just left. and never went back to that house again. how could I? If I went back.....I would have to forget your dream and live the rest of my life like my mom wanted me to.

K: you did this for.......

A: you! remember you told me once that all you wish for is for me to become a singer and acheive all the fame......even if you werent with me.....I couldnt break that promise i gave you kripa. i couldnt.

Her eyes flowed with tears as she sat right across from Angad, whose eyes were on her now. He glanced at her with pain and then quickly looked away when she looked at him. After a few seconds, she got up and went to him. She kneeled down in front of him and put her hand on his. He slowly looked at her and a few tears flowed out of his eyes as well when he saw her innocent face with tears.

K: I'm really sorry angad. mere wajah se tum apne family se........

A: tumhari koi galati nahi hai. galati sab meri hai. agar mein unki khushi ke liye apni khushi qurban karta to...maybe they would be happier

K: and you? would you be happy angad? isnt this what you wanted? Music?

A: yea.

K: you did so much for me. you gave up your family just to fulfill the promise you had given me...and i want to say Thanks for that

A: no! i did this because you would be happy to know that i was going to continue singing. but i had a selfish reason for this too

K: and what was that?

A: seeing you happy makes me happy kripa. it really does

K(crying even more): im so sorry angad.

A: --------

K: angad lets go to London. together!

A: what?

K: yea. lets go to london...for Aaliya, to see that smile on her face. please angad!

A: kripa you know this isnt.........

K: mere liye?

A: Kripa if we go together, daadi and aaliya would think that we got back together and their hopes....i cant tell them that we didnt! i cant let them down again. last time, i told them that i would come back with you as my bride, i cant......please kripa

K: then lets pretend that we did get back together. there's no harm in that rite?

A: what?

K: yea. i mean we can act like we got back but then after the engagement...you go your way, and i go my way. so?

A: i dont know, i feel like im cheating them

K: dekho agar hum saath mein jayenge to aaliya ko khushi milegi. lekin humare waha jane par agar usse pata chale ki hum dono.....you know what i mean? I'd rather let her be happy during her engagement and face her disappointment after that. please angad. do this for her happines

A(after thinking for a while): OK

K: ok? o kool. thank you so much angad. ill be rite back

Kripa gets up and goes to the bathroom to wash her face and angad sits on the couch, still thinking about his decision. Was it right? or was it wrong?

coming up: Kripa and angad continue to grow closer as secrets keep on revealing themselves

ok thats it for now. i mite post tomorrow or maybe monday.
