Part:2

Match-making was not something that came easily to Yash or Meera, but when it came to their best friend and his ever-so-angry elder brother, things seemed as natural as breathing.

Yash, Meera and Geet have been friends since High School. Slowly and steadily, the former two progressed from being friends to lovers, so as soon as they confessed their feelings towards each other, it appeared only fair that they found someone for Geet as well.

And the search began.

First it was the office clerk.

Then came the local sergeant.

Finally Meera's house physician.

But no one seemed good enough for their Geet.

Just when they were about to give up on their search, something hit Meera like an epiphany while she was in the loo, and the next thing she knew was to barge out of the washroom and call Yash.

"Meer please, its midnight, let me sleep", Yash whined.

"Yash", Meera screamed, "I love you"

"You call me at the middle of the night to say this, I love you too baby, now good night"

"Shut up you lazy bum and listen to me"

"Hmmm"

"I have found someone for our Geet"

"Really, who?" Yash asked in a half sleepy tone

"How about Geet and I get married in the same household?"

"But, hopefully you are getting married to me right, in say 20 years"

"And", she could no more hold her excitement and could easily strangle Yash for not getting her cue.

Then he realized and he jumped.

"Meer", this time he shouted, "I love you"

But all of their planning went down the drain when the groom in question suddenly shifted to London to complete his degree in Architecture, and that too for five long years.

In the mean time Geet's responsibilities towards her parents increased, and love and marriage were things long forgotten.

Yash shifted to Mumbai to pursue his further studies and the two girls stayed back in Delhi for their research.

But now, again life has given them the chance to fulfill the dream they wished for because those five years have passed and he was back.

Meera was finally packed for Annie's wedding.

The only job that remained was to make a phone call.

The land line was ringing continuously at the Handa residence.

Mohinder lal Handa picked it up at the fifth attempt.

"Hello"

"Namaste Uncleji, this is Yash"

"Oh, how have you been, beta? "

"I am fine Uncleji, how is aunty ?"

"She is fine, wait I will call Geet"

"No Uncleji, I wanted to talk to you"

"Oh ok, tell me , beta"

"Actually my sister Annie is getting married in ten days, so dadi wanted Meer and Geet to help her with the arrangements"

"That's perfectly alright, Geet can go"

"But Uncleji, may be Geet would not like to leave you and Auntyji for ten days and come with us, so I was wondering if you two could come with us as well"

"No beta, Doctors have advised complete rest to Rano "

"In that case, will Geet agree to come?"

"You don't worry, I'll talk to her, she definitely will"

"Thank you Uncleji, Namaste"

"Namaste, beta"

Yash and Meera were grinning ear to ear, and if morning shows the day, its only a matter of time that their long desired dream of playing a match maker will be fulfilled soon.
