It took about 2 hours and an assurance, to get Pammi maasi to stay in her absence, to finally convince Geet to leave her parents for 10 days and attend her best friend's sister's wedding.

Not willing to waste any further time, Yash and Meera dragged a still unsure Geet to the car and headed towards the Khurana farmhouse where the wedding is supposed to happen.

"Geet", called Yash, "can you please look happy?"

"I am worried for mom Yash, her joint pain doesn't seem to leave her"

"She will be fine Geet, and as it is only two hours distance, you can always go back in case of an emergency"

"Yeah, you are right. So tell me, how have you been in Mumbai?"

"Been busy. Missing you all", and looked lovingly towards an asleep Meera.

"Yes, I understand"

"So, Miss and going to be Dr. Handa, how is life treating you these days?"

"Oh been busy with work and at home, but I am doing just fine, thanx to Meer"

"Future plans, post doc, marriage?" , saying this he awaited her reaction like he used to do for his board results.

But he was disappointed when Geet gave no answer and kept quite.

"Yash, would you mind, if me too took a nap, had a long night struggling with the next presentation."

Yash got her cue of not willing to continue the discussion any further, and without probing he said,

"Of course Geet, I will wake you two up once we reach there."

It was a smooth journey in the early hours of the day and finally they arrived.

Yash woke up Meera first.

"So all set?", said Yash, rubbing his hands in excitement.

"yes"

"Anything special you want to do for their first meeting Meer,?"

"I was thinking just the same"

"so, what are the options?"

"How about we play some nice soft music in the back ground when they first see each other?", Meera said in a dreamy tone.

"In addition, can we arrange for someone to shower rose petals on them?", Yash beemed.

"I wish it was evening, we could arrange for candles as well", Meera pouted.

The discussion went on for a while where every clich of romance was added to the list for their first meeting.

And finally when they were convinced, they decided to wake geet up.

The trio entered the sprawling Khurana farm house only to be greeted by chirping birds, humming bees and fragnance of fresh flowers.

Geet inhaled the air and felt at home.

She could not put her finger on anything particular, but there was something which made her relax immediately and she suddenly felt very happy with this whole arrangement. She now knew her parents will be safe and these ten days will be the best in her life.

They entered the living room and then Yash suddenly stopped in his tracks.

There he stood in all his glory in a crisp white shirt and black dress pants with his hands in his pocket, staring down his younger brother: Maan Singh Khurana.

But soon Yash realized, this was not the time to get intimidated, rather get his plans into action.

Soon he turned back and ran towards the trailing girls. He dragged Meera aside leaving a surprised Geet.

"Meer, we need to talk"

"What"

"Bhai is here already"

"Really!"

"Yes, so the first meeting is now within five minutes."

"Ok, so flowers and candles are out"

"Music, we can still do that, when will these high definition mobile phones come to use"

"Great, so listen, as soon as they come face to face, play the most romantic song ever."

"Yes boss"

Then it happened.

They entered the living room once again..

Yash and Meera could not control their excitement anymore. It was time to take the first step towards their dream .

It was their first meeting and it had to be perfect.

Yash had his play list ready.

Meera was holding her breath.

And then finally they were in front of each other.

Maan rose from the sofa to greet the guests coming with his brother.

Yash was about to hit the play button, then they heard his rich baritone,

"Hi Geet"

"Hello Maan", she answered.

Yash dropped his phone, Meera dropped on the sofa. They looked at each other and finally yelled in frustration,

"You two know each other?"
