There was a great hustle and bustle on the highway. A drastic accident shook the entire area and police immediately came to action as the victim was none other than the big business tycoon Maan singh khurana.
Adi was busy urging the diver to search the river flowing below the bridge where maan's car was found in a terrible condition. The front of the car was brutally smashed and it almost yielded to the extent that the front seats were totally collapsed. There was broken pieces of mirror everywhere. The door of driver seat was open indicating his escape, but from the wrecked condition of the car it was concluded that he might have fallen into the river after his car turned over...!!
From the look at the car it seemed like it was massively hit by a huge vehicle, may be a truck. Police had sealed the area for investigation and the search for maan was going on. As geet heard the sound of a horrendous collision, she felt her intutions turning to reality. Maan's phone went off soon after she screamed his name and everyone rushed to her. She frantically pleaded dadi to take her to maan as something has happened to him. Dadi and pinky tried to convince geet that maan was alright and they will bring him back. Not getting any response from maan's cell, they finally decided to see for themselves and the sangeet ceremony was called off.
Geet, dadi, pinky and adi went to chandigarh in a car with the hope to trace maan's car in the mid, but the sight of his badly shattered car near the highway bridge shocked the hell out of them...!!
They searched for maan near the empty car, but couldn't trace any sign of him. Dadima felt a slight pain near her upper chest and was immediately taken to a hospital with pinky while adi and geet continued the search for maan.
As the diver signalled of his failure, the police officer sighed and said...
I guess Mr. khurana's body might have flown by the running water far away. We have discovered these things from water...he forwarded maan's watch and destroyed cell...I think he has drowned...!!
Please officer don't say that. He needs help, please keep the search going on...geet pleaded clutching maan's things
Yes sir, please search once more...adi too requested
Adi sir, please do something. Maan needs help...please...she cried holding adi's collar which he fell terrible with her pleadings
Geet, please calm down...he pleaded the officer to leave and carry on with the search work
After the officer left to enquire the divers again adi said...
Don't worry geet, we will find maan sir...he tried to pacify her with false hopes where in his heart he himself was getting convinced that no one could escape this horrible accident. He simply prayed to god for a miracle.
Later adi somehow managed to take geet to the hospital where dadi was admitted. She had a chest pain and not a stroke for which both geet and adi thanked god. But, still everyone was devastated with the piece of news brought by the officers.
We have checked as much that was possibe, but couldn't find Mr. khurana's body...he said and then turned to geet...the blood stains that were found in the car and near the edge of the bridge have matched Mr. khurana's, and I am sorry to say, he is DEAD...!!
A loud gasp escaped from pinky's mouth while others looked in horror
Geet crumbled to the floor as his words hit her ear drums like hammers...
No...this can't be true...she shook her head disbelievingly...he promised...!!
Adi looked at her feeling helpless. He himself was not able to gather courage to face the bitter truth. His maan sir who he considered his idol, his master was no more. How can god be so cruel to such a golden heart man and that too when he was finally getting some happiness after a long time.
Geet's ears were still ringing with the words of policeman and maan's promise...
She trust maan more than anything in this world and nothing could deter her faith now, not even destiny. She will fight and get her love back. She'll not loose hope. Maan is well, her heart was somehow sure about it. She will not let destiny play its brutal game with her this time. Getting a hold over herself, she moved towards adi and the inspector...
My maan is alive...she said with a confidence and aggressiveness in her voice
But mam we have checked the whole area, even the river till quite a long distance...he tried to reason...after such an accident its hard to believe that he had any chances of survival...!!
Till his body is found, I will not believe any assumed statements by you all...geet burst out and adi and pinky came to her side to calm her
Nothing has happened to him, do you hear me...she was wriggling in pinky's hold who was trying to sooth
You all are liars...her eyes were red with anger and tears, but she was not ready to lose hope
The officer left giving her a sympathetic look and the night which was supposed to be one of the most beautiful night of her life turned to a horrifying nightmare...!!

It was 6 in the morning and no one even blinked for a second. The event of last night had casted its darkness with such efficiency that no rays of sun could penetrate it. Geet sat by the hospital bed on which dadima was resting. She looked at the lady who was right now the only family she had till maan returns and caressed her forehead inorder to impart some warmth to her body.
Don't worry dadima, I know maan is alive. He promised me to return and he will never break his promise what so ever happen...she said with hope still oozing out from her words.
Adi and pinky watched her standing at the door and fresh tears emerged in their eyes seeing the hope in her eyes even after all this. Pinky clasped adi's hand as she couldn't control herself and sobbed hidding her face in his shoulders while adi embraced her and took her out of the room.

It was two and a half week since the dreadful night and everyone get back to their normal schedule except for geet. Her life stopped the moment the news of maan's death reached her ears. Though she's still waiting for him with hopeful eyes, there was a hollowness in her eyes which once shone with happiness and joy. She hardly eats or sleep. Days and nights she keep sitting at the window sil of maan's room and wait for his return. Dadi was slowly made aquainted with the terrible news which drastically affected her health, but geet took great care of dadima and her confidence for maan's return sparked a small hope in her heart too.
But somewhere as the days passed savitri devi was loosing all hopes and was trying to cope up with the reality. She requested geet to stay with her even after she was fully cured as the ailment of loneliness and grief were too deep to be cured. Geet reluctantly agreed and shifted to KM till the time maan get back and handle everything himself. No matter how much everyone tried to make her believe in maan's demise, her hope didn't detered a bit.
Ronak was the head untill geet joined KC back and adi was getting extremely worried regarding his intentions. He urged dadima to convince geet to join KC back not just to help KC in better position as the legal head, but also for diverting her attention from the painful time geet was going through.
Dadima came to geet's room and found her looking lost staring outside the window towards the gate. She winced mutely as the pain to see her daughter in such a devastated state passed through her chest. She wiped the tear threatening to fall from the corner of her eyes and moved towards geet.
Placing her hand softly on geet's shoulder she called...
Geet beta...
Geet averted her aze from the window to dadi and got up finding her behind her...
Arey dadima, aap...??...do you need anything...??...she asked knotting her brows
Beta I wanted to talk to you for sometime...geet simply nodded and both went over to the bed
Softly pressing geet's palm between her own hands she said...
Geet, why don't you join office again...??...KC needs you right now...!!
But dadima, how could I...??...who will take care of you...??...she asked with knotted brows
Don't worry about me geet, I am perfectly alright dear, but KC's reputation and market is going down after the...she stopped suddenly realizing the terrible word that were about to slip out from her mouth
Geet looked at dadi understandingly not wanting her to take any stress and replied...but dadima, adi sir is there, he will handle it...!!
Nahi beta, adi himself told me to ask you as he is unable to convince the share holders anymore. They are hell bent on selling their share before any more losses occur...she looked at geet with pleading eyes...please geet, KC is our heritage. Maan's sweat and blood has made KC what it is today and right now, only you can save it...!!
Dadi please, don't stress yourself. I have promised maan to look after you as well as KC in his absence and will keep my promise no matter at all cost...geet assured her
Dadi blessed geet and left the room while geet went back to her long wait...!!

Geet froze as the last part of their conversation entered her ears...!!
This can't be possible. She was shocked to the core, but before she could thik about it their foot steps alerted her and she hid behind a pillar while they walked ahead smiling at their victory
Without wasting a second, she fished out her cell and called adi...
Hello geet...I am just reaching KC...adi said on recieving her call
Adi sir, please listen to me carefully...she said with a panic striken voice

She tip toed out of the building stealthily and came to the parking area. Grasping her breath, she calmed herself a bit as the time was not right to lose her calm, she had to get out of here before they find her. As she moved towards the exit to get a cab, a hand caught her wrist from behind...
You seems to be in a hurry...came his voice from behind and geet turned totally aghast...
Ronak...she said before his men tied her hands and mouth pushing her into a car...!!

Somewhere in a small hut a man was lying with bandages tied to his whole body. His physical condition was horrendous yet he was breathing. A villager were applying ointment to his wounds while few others sat by his side...

I found him floating in the river over a plank of wood...he replied...he was in a very bad condition, may be suffered some accident...!!
It has been more than two weeks now, but his condition is just the same...he expressed his disappointment
Suddenly, his hand showed slight movement which caught the old man's attention...
Oh my god, its the first time I have noticed any movement in him...he was delighted
