Okay ! Much Awaited Part ! 🤔
Something Called Love
Twenty Five
He had some further plans other than her. After last night, he was sure that she would say yes, he made all plans, book the terrace of his favorite restaurant. Everything went to his plan as he allowed her to check her 'lovelies' at her home and took some time to organize everything. She left it from there as it was her last day and she had to leave everything that was him, she was ready with resignation, her flat that he gave her, her each and every possession who was gifted by him, including her soul, her life, herself. She chose her best dressing for the occasion, as if she wanted to celebrate her separation.
He asked her to be there on the time at 8. He was dressed in black, he arranged her favorite white flowers, candles and her favorite champagne and his choice of music, as he really did not like her choice in music. He stood there on top of the world, the high rise building of the city, from which he could see the whole city. He slowly took out the ring from his pocket, it was a diamond ring.
As she entered, he was once again stunned, as she was in white sari, his favorite color for her, a pure beauty from heaven came on the earth for him, and he faithfully felt like a blessed child who got the opportunity to meet his beloved angel. He took her hand and welcomed her, and asked to take a seat. She was uncomfortable, it was impossible for her to utter the truth simply, she was nervous and scared, and she felt a lurch in her stomach. In nervousness and haste she dropped the water on her sari and she found good reason to leave from there for a minute and prepare herself well. She went in the washroom and looked in the mirror and said in firm voice, 'Just do it, geet!'
When she came outside, she saw him standing near the table and watching something on his mobile, with a frown expression. She came forward and looked at him with wary expression. He smiled and then broke the silence.
'Someone is absolutely playing a disgusting joke with us.' He said with a smile but he could not hide worriment in his eyes.
'What?' she asked.
'Watch it yourself.' And he handed her his mobile.
And she was shocked - shell shocked. It was a video, her meeting with maya gujral, her first meeting and her last one when she offered her to kill him, but all this clippings were precisely edited and only those part were included which proved geet at fault. Her heartbeat stopped for a second or it missed few beats she could not decide, as it was beyond her worst imagination. She looked at the clippings again and again, she was there with her saying yes and in last clip, she was asking her and it ends with an evil smile on Maya Gujral's face. She was frozen, her fingertips were cold and her head was whirling around. The moment came, the very same moment which she was trying to escape or ignore, came in front of her and she was helpless, sad for him. One last betrayal to him, she saw him, still somewhere in his eyes, she found trust for her. She felt miserable for him, she remembered the night when he told her about his childhood, he has already seen much and then, she had to make him go through this.
'Is it true…? I mean how can someone make fun of you like this…? You know what I'm saying right…?' he asked uncomfortably.
She did not say anything.
'I'm sure it must be from my so called mother, she is just…and why are you not saying anything? I know it's not true…'
She remained quite.
'Say something, damn it!' he said loudly still managing to maintain the warmth in his voice.
She did not move.
'What…is this…that means…are you…wait…but you are…no…say something.'
She did not say anything. She just looked at him blankly.
He moved further, looking straight into her eyes firmly.
'Is it true? Yes or No?'
She stepped back slowly, every move he came forward, she stepped back in fear, and she could not look into his eyes.
'Is it true? Yes or No?'
He came closer and closer and then, she was stopped by the wall, he blocked her against the white wall. She did not meet his eyes.
'Yes or No?' he yelled and she shivered from fear, his fearful voice sent a physical jolt in her entire body.
'Y..Ye..Yesss, Yes. Yes.' she mumbled.
There was an awkward silence between them for a while.
'I should have trust my basic instincts.' He said emptily.
He looked at her in disbelief for a second, without moving an inch. She was about to say something and he raised his hand to stop her. And within next few seconds, they heard the sound of fireworks, she looked up to sky, there were fireworks, colorful, but there was not a single one with red color, she noticed and after few seconds, it beautifully gathered and wrote together in sky. He remembered when he asked his men to wait for his signal and when he would raise his hand, they would start the fireworks.
WILL YOU MARRY ME?
She looked at it with stream of tears rolling down her cheeks, he was not looking at it; he was staring at the floor in dismay. She was crying bitterly, but yet silent. She cried for the adverse, ill-fated moment, it was bizarre, the very exact moment, her intensions and as well his intensions were cleared. The one precise moment and they were exposed; she was wretched for him, for her, for the moment. She could not decide whether it was coincidence or her bad luck overpowering their cherishing moment. It was way more painful for her, he wanted to ask her for marriage and she could not even say anything, as if she was lifeless – so alive yet so dead.
'Maan…' she uttered this word with somehow found courage in her broken and lost heart.
'Leave.'
She looked at him in shock.
'Leave…just leave from here before I do anything reckless…LEAVE' he screamed and smacked his hand forcefully on the wall, shaking her from the spine. She tried to touch his bleeding hand but she stopped and ran from there, crying bitterly.

After she left, he remained there blank for few minutes, as he was witnessing some nightmare and then he realized that it was real, it actually happened. He looked at the ring in his hand, the candles on the floor and table, the flowers as if they were laughing on him, making fun of him and his life.
Betrayed, betrayed, betrayed and betrayed.
These were the words that echoed his mind continuously, he tried to stop thinking but he could not help it, soon he saw her in front her laughing at him, he turned around and saw her near the trails laughing at him, saw her near the table laughing at him, saw her in the sky, between the ashes of fireworks laughing at him, saw her everywhere.
And, when he could not take it anymore, he screamed out loud in anger and fury, he held his head firmly and covered his ears to make them numb from sweet sound of her smile. He took one rod, from the corner and without wasting much time, he broke the table, he threw it away and took one candle from the place and burned the table cloth, he opened the bottle and broke it with his hand and burned entire place with candles, and one last candle on his hand, he looked at it for few second and placed his hand on it angrily and got his hand burnt. Within few minutes, staff of the restaurant and security came upstairs and saved him from the fire but he fought with them, they beat him, one of the guards hit him with the same rod in the back and he yelled in rage, 'Kill me…hit me…kill me…'

All he did not know was that, before she left, she managed to give number of his grandmother to the manager of restaurant and warned them before he destroy everything. And as per her presumption, he did the same, but once again he was saved as they called dadima and called her there to take him away. She left from there and in one corner of the street; she stood in shock, crying silently. She stood there blank, and suddenly she felt someone clutching her shoulder, she smiled at the thought of him and she turned around just to see nik. She saw him for a second and then, she hugged him and cried bitterly more and more painfully. He took her away from there.

He brought her at pinkey's home as her wish; he dropped her there and left. She confessed everything to pinkey and adi. At first they were angry but then, they understood her pain too. She asked her to stay there for few days.
'You know something, geet? If you know him well then you must know this fact that he is not a fool, he already knew about your contract with gujral.' Adi revealed the fact.
'What?' she asked in shock.
'I mean, he is a businessman in Delhi from last ten years, do you expect him to avoid the significant information about you? I hid the fact about your previous work from him, but he is Maan. He found it the day when we won the contract.'
'But you know something, he allowed you. I remember the day when he told me about you. I asked him to fire you but he refused because he said you would not do that and he was right, you cancelled the contract.'
She was speechless, and she understood the line he said back there.
I should have trust my basic instincts.
'But I think he is shocked about those accident clippings. I'm sure he is angry about that only. He must be feeling betrayed. '
'Oh…' she cried.
'Geet, it's not best time for me or anyone to explain him. He needs time. He is thinking that you were involved in that accident plan.'
'I know.' She hardly said this.
'What will you do now?' Pinkey asked worriedly.
'I don't know.' She said blankly.
'But…Where will you go? You left job, your flat, everything.' Adi asked.
'He taught me how to live and fly. I will for sure not fail him. It would be his insult if I would end up like a loser. I will find a way' she smiled in pain.
She was not sure what would she do but she knew one thing that she would not fail herself anymore. She was sitting there on the chair blankly and someone called - it was him. She shivered a little. She picked it up fearfully.
'Meet me at the place where it all started.'
She did not understood what he meant; she could not memorize what he was talking about. It took her full one hour to remember which place he was talking about and then she realized. It was airport, when they first met. She did not understand why he called her there. But anyways, she decided to go there.
As she reached the airport, she could not find him anywhere, she thought he was not there, she might have made mistake and she was about to leave when she saw his car parked by the road, she went there, scared and confused.
'Get in.'
She did it without even asking anything. And, he drove in most fast speed possible and available in his car. She was scared but she chose not to speak anything. She trusted him. Soon she realized that they were on the same meadow where they came on her birthday, the most beautiful day and night of her life. She wondered why he brought her here, but as decided she remained silent. He stopped the car and got out from the car and sat on the same bench where they sat and rested their head and confessed their hatred, how much they hated each other's habit still they were bonded. She was once again in pool of tears, as her own life was escaping from her hand, like sand in the fists.
He sat there but did not say anything. She was not much courageous to look into his eyes ever again. She remained silent but eventually she had to break the silence.
'What is my punishment?' she asked. Her voice was hollow and empty as if there was no soul left in her.
He got up and looked at her, with a stern look.
'I will not ask you why did you do this but…I forgive you for what you did to me.'
She was shocked for the last time in her life as she knew it was the worst ever punishment he could ever give her. The most painful moment of her life just passed or was passing on, and she was still trying to absorb it.
'I forgive you geet. You are free.' He said and turned his back on her.
'And yes. I'm sorry, I escaped death.' He said impassively without turning his back.
And he left from there without even looking at her. And, she was shell shocked. She never ever in her nightmare thought that he would punish her like this. It was the worst punishment for her. She could not believe his words anymore. She collapsed on the bench, it was raining then, she was drenching in the rain. The worst punishment, worse than god could ever grant, was given by him. He did not ask anything, he did not want anything and he just forgave her, and left. She screamed loud, on top of her lungs, as loud as she could, 'Punish me…please punish me…don't leave me like this…punish me…oh! God…!'
None of her requests, prayers and appeals was heard or granted. She sat there crying resentfully and eventually when her tears dried up, she went blank and finally she left from there.
