...in the evening Chandragupta and his friends accompanied Digvijay in traveling the capital of Rajpur...its the ritual that prince has to travel before his coronation all over the capital to get blessings and well wishes from his men for their future king...the whole Rajpur had been decorated for the grand festival...a grand fair had been organised all over the capital...where the traders from different janpadas with their varieties of goods had been gathered here..happiness and joy were being shown everywhere..for the first time in this one year after he lost his mother Chandragupta was smiling freely and was making fun with his friends...in one side of the fair the exhibition of best qualities of horses were going on...horse is the most precious goods of these regions..so Chandragupt and his friends eagerly stepped towards there but suddenly Aerawat looked hesitant...

Aerawat : mitron tumlog jao..hum yehin rukte hai...

Digvijay : kya baat hai Aerawat..tum ashwa pradarshani mein jane se mana kar rahe ho??ashwa to tumhe sarbadhik priyo hai...phir??

Aerawat : han Digvijay parantu hum abhi nahi ja sakte

Chandragupta : parantu kyun??koi vises karan??...hum tumhare mitraon hai..humse gupt mat rakho...

Ghanghor : mitron tum uhan kise dekh ke vichalit ho rahe ho??

then everyone turned towards the man whom Aerawat was looking at...he was one of the horse trader who had the best collection of horses...the middle aged man was accompanied by a beautiful girl of 16-17 years..who was helping him to manage the horses...

Digvijay : are vo to shresthi Subahu hai..is pradesh ki sabse prasidha aswa vyabsayi...unke paas jo uttam prajatiyon k aswa hote hai vo to parasik banikon ke paas bhi nahi hote hai...

Akshay : aur vo kanya kaun hai??

Digvijay : vo to unke kanya Sumitra hai...ye bhi apne pita k sath rajmahal mein hume badhaiya dene ayi thi aj subhah...matasree ko aj kehte hue suna ke baht dukhi hai bichari..uski pati use swikar nahi karte..parantu inhe dekhke tum itne vichalit kyu ho rahe ho Aerawat??

Aerawat looked confused..as if he wanted to say something but couldn't understand he should say or not...

Chandragupta : Aerawat hum sab tumhare mitro hai...kis baat se chintit ho tum...tumhe dekhke humein bhi chinta ho rahe hai..keh do humein kya baat hai

Sukant : dekho Aerawat aj agar tumne apne chinta k karan hamein bayan nahi kiya..to humse kabhi baat mat karna...yadi humein tum mitra hi na samjho to kya mulya hai aise mitrata rakhne k..

Shashank : ap bata bhi do rajkumar Aerawat..kyu us shresthi aur uske kanya ko dekhke itne bichalit ho rahe ho??

Aerawat : mitron humne tumse ek baat hamesha gupt rakha hai..aur aj bhi vo gupt hi rehta yadi mere atit aj khud mere samne na ata

Akshay : tum kehna kya chahte ho??humein kuch samajh mein nhi a raha hai...spast rup se kaho

Aerawat : vo kanya Sumitra hamare hi patni hai...hum vivahit hai mitron...

everyone shocked...but only Chandragupt and Akshay got confused...and others remained silent for a while...

Digvijay : kya????tum vivahit ho??aur subahu shresthi k kanya tumhare patni hai?Aerawat kripaya vistar se kaho sabkuch...

Chandragupt : parantu vivah to bado ka hi hote hai na..hum sab to chote hai na

Akshay nodded his head in support of Chandragupta..

Aditya : hey iswar...kamse kam is visay pr to kuch mat kaho...tumhe aur Akshay ko abhi inke gyan prapt hona baki hai..

Aerawat : mitron hum rajkumar to hai parantu hamare rajya bahat hi khudra hai...aur durbal bhi..hamare pita raja to hai parantu prativeshi Gandhar Abhisar aur Panchnad ke tarah dhanban ya shaktishali nahi...rajkarya ke liye unhe dhanban shresthin ke arthsahayata ke abashyakta hote hai..aur un shresthioun me se sabse adhik mahatyapurn the Subahu shresthin...aj se panch varsh purv hamare rajya mein durbhikha se annakast suru ho gaye the...paristhiti niyantran karne ke liye pitasree ko baht bade rashi ka arth ka rin grahan karna para..aur sabse bada rashi ka arth vo Subahu shresthi se hi liye the..tab hi pitasree ne socha ke yadi Subahu shresthi jaise dhanban shresthi ke sath vivah k bandhan sthapit kiya jaye to vabhisya mein hamare rajya ko arth samasya ka samna nhi karna padega...Subahu shresthi ne bhi is vivah prastab swikar kiya karan kshatriya raja k sath vivah sambandh samaj mein unke maan badhayega...isi karanse vo panch varsh purv mujhe gurukul mein turant sambad preran kiya rajya mein kuch sankat ane ki..aur hamare pohuchte hi Subahu shresthi ke kanya ke sath hamara vivah karwaya gaya hamare sammati ke bina...sabkuch itne shighrata se hua ke main mana to nahi kar paya parantu mere man ne vidroha kiya...main uswakt chaturdash varsh ka tha...aur Sumitra dwadash vars ki...mere man Sumitra ke prati birup ho chuka tha...isiliye vivah karya samapt hone ke ek din baad hi main gurukul laut aya...aur phir ek patra bhej diya ye likhke ke main is vivah ko swikar nahi karta...main Sumitra ko kabhi apni patni swikar nahi karunga..ye vivah mere asammati se hua hai isiliye mere liye ye asidha hai...baad mein maine suna ke Subahu shresthi Sumitra ko leke hamare rajya chorke chale gaye..phir wapis nahi aye..mere pita mujhpar bhi baht rust the parantu hum unke ekmatra putra hai..isiliye humara tyag nahi kia...uske baad main bhi in char varsh mein kabhi apne rajya mein nahi laute...parantu mitron main ab tak samajhte aya hun ke hum sahi the...parantu aj shreshthi aur Sumitra ko dekhke pata nahi kyun unke sammukh jane ki sahas nahi ho raha hai...

Aerawat stopped...for a while everyone remained silent...this is something new that they ever discussed...then Chandragupta stepped towards Aerawat and put his hand on his shoulder...

Chandragupta : Aerawat humein is visay mein adhik gyan to nahi hai parantu main sirf itna keh sakta hun ke tum apne aap se sawal karo aur apne man ki awaz sunne ki prachesta karo..tumhara man kya keh raha hai tum sahi ho ya galat??

Digvijay : Chandragupt sahi keh raha hai...Aerawat tum pehle khud socho tumhe kya karna chahiye...parantu tumhe sahi disha dikhane ke liye tumhare sath dene ke liye tumhare mitron sarvada tumhare sath honge...

and then a sound of a ringing bell reached to their ears which reminded Digvijay of something...

Digvijay : are mitron Visnu mandir mein sandharati arambh ho chuka hai...hum to bismarit ho gaye the ke aj hamare bhagni Durdhara swayam puja mein baithegi...kal usike hath se hamare tilak sanskar jo hone wala hai...chalo mitron..tum sab usse mil bhi loge..aur Drakshita bhi wahi hogi...

Shashank felt embarassed again

Sukant (thinking) : sayad vo chitra wali kanya ki bhi darshan wahi ho jaye...

Chandragupt : chalo mitron humein devta k darshan mein bilamb ho rahe hai...

Aerawat stared Sumitra for once... then all of them left for the Visnu temple...

zor ka jhatka zor se laga😆 !! unthinkable..unbelievable👏👏 !! gosh..d Aeravat part was totally outstanding 👏 !! just 1 qstn, kya 300 BC me bhi baal-vivaah hote the 😕?? coz as far as i know, child marriages wer d outcome of Muslim invasion of India..to save d unmarried girls 4m being carried away by d muslims & protect der honor. for eg: remember PRC. even Sanyogita was married at a reasonably proper age , not as a child & dat tym der wer no Muslim rule in India.

PS = shresthi mane ki byabshayi ??😕
parasik mane ki vindeshi ?? 😕

polly dear...then bal vivah was not called val vivah...in bc era girls usually was married in the age of 15-16...in the ad era their age decreased in 12-14...after mumslim invasion their age of marriage decreased more...but even in bc era in special political and financial situation early marriage would happened...even in some virsion of ramayan we found sita's swayambar happened in the age of 6 and in some its 12

and Aerawat case is one of them...but dhyan se dekh ye actual val vivah nhi hai..because girl was 11 and boy was 14..in that time too its almost early stage of maturity

parasik..means iranian...iran was called parasya earlier

shesthi is rich mearchant

but tujhe zor ka jhatka kya laga??

durdhara is pampered as usual princess are..but not spoiled..she has maturity of taking right decision in right time..if any stranger boy enters into your room and touches your personal things won't you feel bad..then Durdhara was a princess after all..her anger was natural
