Dev enrolled the kids in the leading school of the town, Sunaina now 8 yrs old was admitted in 3rd standard and rest 3 being 5 yr old were admitted to upper kindergarten, NT arranged her house that was in the police lines, it was a huge villa with lavish lawns and all (typical police officers bungalow in towns).
Savitri tried hard but failed to convince Maan to go to Berkley with her, so she gave up, and pledged that she herself will try to bring Geet back.
15th August 2006,
The function started with flag hoisting followed by national anthem. The children performed various cultural activities after that, the KG students were called to recite poems, all students with clear voice participated, the trio also took part, they were called in alphabetical order, Dervish came in on his turn, later came Jeet, he was called "our next student is Manjeet Maan, he has come again from US and will recite a Hindi poem Pushp ki Abhilasha, here come Manjeet Maan" as Jeet came on stage Maan looked at him with surprise, some thing clicked in he looked quite familiar, Adi and Simran were sitting at the back seat, Simran said "veer ji he looks exactly like you look in the photo that is hanging in the lobby where Amma is hugging you" Maan was thinking on same lines
Every one clapped and he bowed and left "next is his sister, or say twin sister Manpreet Maan, she is going to recite Vande Matram, the bangle version, welcome her with a huge applause"
Maan was again taken aback she also looked same, the only fact was she was a girl and had two pig tails.
During the award ceremony Dev gave out for senior wing and Maan to juniors.
The twins came on the stage and extended their hands to Maan for the prize, Maan was glaring at them in surprise; twins looked at each other and went forward, Jeet pulled Maan's hand and Preet whispered "you can look at us after the function, just now give the prize, Dad" and they grabbed the prize and went off the stage. Announcement continued "2nd prize goes to Dervish Pariahs" Dervish came on stage Maan was still clueless he was wondering did the kid really call him dad, Dervish pulled him and said "why don't you meet them after the function, better come to our house its in police lines, I'll give you the address, just now give away the prize" Maan was shocked to here yet another kid speak up like this.
Later Dev invited Maan to join them for lunch
