Part Four - We Are Together Finally
*St.Xavier's College*
Atul and Nikita were sitting at the entrance of the college and gossiping.
Atul: I've heard that some freshers are gonna come today, is it?
Nikita: Yeah! You are right, Atul! Hey! Lets rag them.
Atul: Good idea Niki! It's gonna be fun!
Anjali entered in the scene. Atul's eyes noticed her. Both shared an eye-lock.
Nikita: Uff these two love birds! Atul.. Anjali..
They didn't respond. Nikita got annoyed.
Nikita: GUYS!
Both came back to their senses and felt shy.
Nikita: Atul, I guess we were discussing about ragging the freshers.
Anjali: Hey that sounds cool!
Atul: So lets do it guys!
Nikita: But how?
Anjali: I've tons of ideas!
Nikita: Yeah yeah! You and your filmy ideas!
Atul: Shut up Niki!
Nikita: Ohhoo! Feeling sad eh?
Anjali: Guys! Stop fighting! Look there! A girl is coming. Looks like she's a fresher.
They saw a girl, wearing a white top with blue jeans and black boots, coming toward the college. They smirked and went to the girl with pride and attitude.
Atul: Fresher?
The girl turned around and she was Riddhima.
Riddhima: Yep! Can you please tell me the way to Principal's office?
Anjali: It's on 2nd floor at the last right corner.
Riddhima: Thanks!
Riddhima turned around to go to Principal's office. Nikita smiled evilly and pushed Riddhima. Riddhima fell on the mud. Atul, Anjali and Nikita laughed. Riddhima furiously stood up and turned back to Atul, Anjali and Nikita. Her face was fully covered with mud. She stared at them angrily.
Nikita: Hey sweetie! Calm down. It was just a ragging.
Armaan came in the scene. He stood behind Riddhima.
Armaan: Whats up guys?
Hearing Armaan's voice, Riddhima calmed down. Her eyes became teary. It seemed like she had recognized that voice. She instantly turned back and saw Armaan. She kept gazing at him with teary eyes. Armaan looked at Riddhima weirdly. It seemed like he didn't recognize her. Then he went to his friends.
Armaan: Hey guys! Who's this joker? Hahah! What did you guys do to her?
Atul: Nothing yaar! We were just ragging. Anyways, whats up dude?
Armaan: Nothing much! Just getting bored. Anyways, I'm going to class. Catch ya all later.
Saying that, Armaan left. Riddhima just stared at him with teary eyes. She was speechless to see Armaan after eight years. She just left from there numbly. Atul, Anjali and Niki looked at Riddhima confusingly.
The class was going on. All the students were busy in writing notes and the teacher was busy in lectures. The principal entered into the class with Riddhima. Armaan was so lost in writing notes that he didn't look up even for a second. The teacher noticed the Principal and stood still.
Riddhima's eyes were searching for Armaan. And finally she saw him. Her eyes were teary again. "You didn't change at all, Armaan! Ideal student!", she thought and smiled.
Principal: Class! Here's a new student in our class. She came from London and now she will be reading in our college.
Armaan still didn't look up, where as, the other students listened to the Principal carefully.
Principal: So meet Miss... Ms. Riddhima Sharma.
Armaan stopped writing. He dropped his pen on the floor. His eyes became teary. He looked up slowly and saw Riddhima. Riddhima saw Armaan staring at her. Both shared an eye-lock. It seemed like the moment had stopped right then. Riddhima was still as beautiful as before and her eyes reflected the emptiness in her life - Armaan thought. Both kept staring at each other with teary eyes and a smile. They were speechless. All the students introduced themselves to Riddhima. Only Armaan was left. He looked at Riddhima and smiled. Tears were rolling down his eyes. Those were surely the tears of joy. Riddhima shed tears too seeing Armaan's tears. "Arr..", Armaan started to say but was cut off by Riddhima. "Armaan Malikk!", said Riddhima with smile of joy. Armaan smiled when Riddhima smiled. Armaan's friends looked at Armaan and Riddhima confusingly.
Principal: Okay, class! I'm going now. Make Riddhima feel home here, okay?
Students: Sure sir!
The principal left. Armaan and Riddhima smiled seeing each other. They were alive and perfectly fine, this thought was making each other smile broadly. The teacher started his lecture again. Riddhima went near Armaan and sat behind him. The class went on. They tried to concentrate in the class but seemed like they were unable to do so. They were thinking of each other. Armaan always had find some excuse and looked back and there started their eye-lock. This had made his friends suspicious. The class ended. Armaan grabbed Riddhima's hand and took her to somewhere.
They came behind the campus. It was a grassland field. They stopped there and looked at each other with tears in their eyes. In a second, Riddhima cried her heart out and hugged Armaan very tightly.
Riddhima: I'm feeling so happy seeing you alive, Armaan! You know without you, I felt so lost in darkness.
Armaan: Same here, Riddhima! I'm glad you are fit and fine! Pata hai, without you, I had forgotten to live.
Riddhima: Ssshh! Don't say like that. Now I'm here naa. Destiny had made us meet finally. Finally, we are together.
Armaan: Yeah! *smiles* But Riddhima.. *worried* How did you land up in London? And why didn't you come to me and DJ?
Riddhima: Armaan.. Woh.. Actually.. After I got kidnapped..
*Flashback*
Riddhima went near the door to hear what the goons were talking about. And she heard them saying, "These girls should be sent to Dubai as soon as possible. Boss has ordered." Riddhima was shocked. "They wil sent us to Dubai?! But why?!", she said to herself. She heard them saying again, "And there, they will be sold and we will be rich." Riddhima was dumbstruck to hear that. "OMG! They will sell us?! OMG! This can't happen! I hope DJ and Armaan and all the other families find us soon.", she thought in mind. Further she heard them asking to one another, "And what about their families?" The other one replied that, "Hahah! Families?! Huh they are all over! They are finished." Riddhima was shocked, sad, dumbstruck and numb. She didn't know what to say. She just stood there still and tears rolled down her eyes.
*Present*
Riddhima: Since that time, I thought that you and DJ.. OMG! I can't even think of that.
Armaan: But we were fine, Riddhima! Maybe they told you guys like this so that you people don't create any problem.
Riddhima: DAMN! How can they do that? Strange and stupid people! Because of them, we got separated. I hate them!
Armaan: Ssshh! Don't say anything more now. That time is over now. But how did you go to London?
Riddhima: I tried to escape many times but I failed every time. At last, they took us to Dubai and sold us too. But we managed to escape somehow. Rahul's dad was in Dubai for some business purpose and I bumped with him. Then he took me to London.
Armaan: Rahul?!
Riddhima: Yeah he's my friend! His father saved my life and for him only, I am in front of you.
Armaan: I should say thanks to him for saving my Riddhima.
Saying that, he again hugged Riddhima.
Riddhima: But why did you think that I was dead?
Armaan: Woh.. Hua yeh ki.. After you got kidnapped.. DJ and me searched for you everywhere with police's help. And one day the police found out that the go-down where you guys had been kept in had been blasted. And the girls were found dead.
Riddhima: Maybe I wasn't in the go-down at that time!
Armaan: Yeah right! Anyways, now we shouldn't think of our past. Now we should think of our present and future. And now we are together.
Riddhima: No one can separate us again, Armaan! NO ONE!
They hugged again. They were very happy. They found their world within themselves.
Armaan: Riddhima, you know after you left, I was so lost but DJ.. DJ was in shock. She missed you so much Riddhima!
Riddhima: I missed DJ too. She's my mom, Armaan! I can't forget that day when she hugged me and I got motherly love for which I craved. By the way, didn't you miss me, Mr. Malikk?
Armaan: Nope!
Riddhima: WHAT?
Armaan: Ms. Sharma! We miss those people whom we forget and I couldn't forget you Riddhima! NEVER!
Riddhima: Awww my cutie Mr. Malikk!
They were in each others' arms and talked for long. It seemed like they were having conversations of all these years together. They forgot about the world. They gossiped, smiled and laughed in their gossiping.
Armaan: Riddhima, you know! You are still the same. Very...
Riddhima: Very...?! Beautiful, right?
Armaan: Veryyy... Monkeylicious!
Riddhima (anger): Armaan ka baccha.. *punch* You are seriously.. *punch* A jerk!
Armaan (pouting): Oww it hurts, Ms. Monkey!
Rddhima: Don't you dare call me monkey, you poor fellow! *punch*
Armaan smiled. Riddhima was confused.
Riddhima (confused): I'm punching you and you are smiling?! Screw dhila ho gaya kya?
Armaan (teary eyes): I missed your punches, Ms. Riddhima Sharma.
Riddhima's eyes were teary again. She smiled and hugged Armaan. Armaan hugged her back and smiled broadly.
Armaan (smiles): Oyee hoyee my emotional BFF! Stop being emotional now and look up.
Riddhima: Itni saalo ki kasar puri karne do, Mr. Malikk! Let me hug ya for all these years!
Armaan (smiling) Aww theek hai my bestie!
They kept hugging each other and didn't care about the time and the world.
