CHAPTER-12 Maan was sitting in the office frustrated.It was 11 at night he didn't mind to go back to house.it was two days since he spoke with geet .Her phone was always not reachable.Then his phone rang.maan answered with dull tone.It was dev.
DEV : hello bro. aap office mein ho?
MAAN : umm
DEV : bro pls aap ghar jaane waqt muje mere dost ke ghar se pick kariye. maine driver ko ghar bejdiya
MAAN: umm.
Maan went to the address given by Dev.It was dark everywhere..It was already 11:55. He entered the house. It was dark inside as well.Dev's phone was switched off.When he was about to leave the doors were locked.He was not scared but irritated by the tamasha.
It was 12:00. Suddenly the whole hall was lighted and glitters fell on him. He heard a voice singing "happy birthday". He was familiar with the voice.It was geet.She was prettily dressed in a saree.
Maan was aware of his birth day but didn't expect a surprise.Geet came near him and gave him a tight hug.There was none other than them.
GEET : I have a surprise for you. I have 12 gifts for each month . i hope u like it.
Geet was more excited than maan.She ran like a baby to show him her gifts.
FIRST
She came with a bouquet full of white flowers.
GEET : muje patta hai u like white.Happy b'day.
she gave him the flowers.
SECOND
Then geet went and came back with a hear shaped box of chocolate.she fed him one from that.
GEET : i know you have secret crush for chocolates.Happy b'day.
THIRD
Geet brings a black shades and makes him wear that.
GEET :aapke aank ko dekke baat karna mushqil hai isliye ye acha lagega aap par.Happy b'day
FOURTH
Geet brings a digital photo frame.
GEET: aap haste hue bahut ache lagte hai shayad isliye aap zyada nahi haste. koi baat nahi iss mein woh saara photos hain jis mein aapne dil kolkar hasa. Happy b'day
FIFTH
Geet brings a bracelet.and ties to his hand.
GEET :aap ko gussa bhut aata hai . Jab bhi aap ka blood boil hoga aur gussa aayega iss bracelet laal hojayega so aap ko meri yaad aayega and i hope gussa kam hoga.Happy b'day
SIXTH
she brings a mobile.
GEET : i know aapko gadgets bahut pasnd hain.ye i-phone ka latest model market mein aane mein abi six months hain i ve ordered specially for you.Happy b'day.
SEVENTH
Geet then brings something in a basket.
GEET : ye rodger ka grandson hai.
She gives him a small puppy.(Rodger was maan's pet which he had during collage then the dog died .maan was very sad after loosing rodger)
GEET : i found it near mysore. Happy b'day.
EIGHT
Geet brings a book.the cover read "MSK-THE INVINCIBLE"
GEET : its sort of your biography saare magazines aur toda personal information ke saath maine banaya. Happy b'day.
NINTH
Geet brings a ganesh statue.
GEET : aap bagwaan pe yakeen nahi karte lekin main karti hoon so plz isse apne paas rakyega.Happy b'day
TENTH
geet brings a medium size portrait obviously it was maan's.
(frds now imagine this as a painting) GEET : agar isse carefully dekenge toh aap ka naam nazar aayega . maine banaya .Happy b'day.
ELEVENTH
Geet brings a small red wax in heart shape.something was carved maan looked carefully. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY CADU" was carved in that.
GEET : maine banaya hai . Happy b'day
TWELFTH
GEET: aap ko jo bhi gift maine ab tak diya ye sab aap ke pasand ke hai. i hope ye last gift bhi aapko pasand aaye. but aapko ye gift reject karneki poori rights hai.
Geet then goes on her knees.
GEET : MAAN I LOVE YOU
Maan was speechless .Geet could see puzzle in his face. It was 2 min maan didn't respond he had a blank expression on his face.Geet's heart shattered into pieces .She then made herself strong and stood up.
GEET: its ok maan. i can understand i was foolish.anyways happy b'day.
Geet left without saying a word.
AFTER FEW MINUTES
Geet was in the garden watching the moon . She didn't blame maan. she still loved him . she had some tears which escaped her eyes.
MAAN : shona
Geet knew it was maan she wiped her face and turned cheerfully.
She saw the sight of her life maan was already on his knees raising a ring towards her.
MAAN : GEET WILL YOU MARRY ME?
geet was not sure if to cry or smile. she could not ask god anything better than this.she immediately hugged maan. Maan slipped the ring in her fingers and kissed her hands. The hug expressed all their feelings . They were contented.Maan had the best birthday gift of his life.
MAAN : i love you geet.
GEET : i love you maan.
