One by one the entire immediate relative completed their part of the ceremony and time passed with the first day traditions and rituals; it was the enjoyable moments for the relatives except the main duo.

Chapter 17

This was not missed at all by their friends; Adi and Pinki were in shock as first they got the news of their marriage has been fixed through the grape vine then the horse's mouth. They had been away for almost a week after that evening busy with their families to announce their own engagement. First, it was Geet's part they came to discern through Pinki's acquaintances, when she breaks the news to Adi he would not believe what he was hearing. It was hard to believe for them, Pinki had tried to reach Geet however her phone came as switched off. Adi wanted to confirm before to jump to the conclusion. He immediately tried Maan, however no response from there either. He tried to reach him at his office, that's where he found out that Maan is getting married and he won't be available for few days. This alerted him and he disclosed the details with Pinki. In addition, they got their second shock as he was getting married too. They figured that much that something is definitely not right or else they would have known. Pinki was panicking and was acting nerve wrack. Adi had to calm himself down first and then took care of her. Upon pondering over some reasons they decided to visit Geet's house and check themselves.

Next morning they left for Geet's house. As they were approaching Geet's mansion they noticed it was under construction with decoration and it was full of commotion.

That was the first hint they got as a proof that there is definitely a wedding. Geet was the only young member left in the family to get married for now. Pinki was nervous alright; Adi consoled her and convinced her to act normal to get to the bottom. They descended the car and went inside. As soon as they entered the main hall, they were greeted by Geet's parents. They approached them and took the blessing announcing their own engagement. Everyone congratulated them along with their blessings. That's when Rano aunty announced to Pinki of Geet's marriage and suggested to go meet her. When they confronted with Geet, she just shrugged it off with some excuse and they couldn't pursue her due to lot of interruptions and lack of privacy. They decided to meet Maan, he was not answering their calls, and then they decided to catch him at the club. There they found out that Maan was missing in action no one has seen him for long time. They didn't know Maan's residence; they didn't want to ask the counter at the club as it didn't sound appropriate. Fortunately Adi remembered Agustiya and called him to his office. To make the matter worse he came to know that Agustiya is out of town with his wife for few days now and won't return for another couple of days. It sound strange, it seemed like even Ayanna and Agustiya are not aware of Geet and Maan's wedding. They were sure now that something is not right and decided to take up the matter in their own very hands. After all, they were best friends, how could these stubborn Jack and Jenny can do to each other.

Adi and Pinki put the plan together on how to stop these foolish friends of their, from doing something drastic to ruin their lives. Adi and Pinki parted to visit their friends and to participate in their rituals. Every time she gets the chance she tried to cox Geet into spill the beans on why Geet and Maan aren't together. Geet's reaction assured Pinki that they had break up. Before she could continue more they were interrupted again. After that Geet never came around to speak up anything about Maan. Pinki tried another way to trick Geet, this time she asked to see the picture of the man whom she is marrying. She denied and said it does not matter she will get to see him soon in few days. Pinki was raged the way Geet was acting stubborn and left no choice for but to give up on her. Pinki act up together quickly and turned to Rano Aunty Geet's mother she was the only hope to get more details on the Groom at least. She couldn't believe what she heard from her that first how they got the proposal for Geet out of nowhere. Then Geet wanted to leave the country and then how easily she agreed with the marriage putting these crazy conditions of not meeting the groom before marriage and the lucky part was it has the same request from the Groom side. In that conversation, she gets to know the family and the name of the Groom - to - be. She almost choked on her own spittle. She couldn't believe what she heard and she asked Rano Aunty to repeat what she just said. Her ears were burning with excitement after hearing the name Maan Singh Khurana. She was on seventh heaven; it was hard to believe fate could play such game. It was a unique love story which is about to create a history of its own, now all she has to do was play along with it and to give some part to Adi as well to play. She was rubbing her hands with the giggles as to make sure she makes these Jack and Jenny suffer until the last breathe. Now that the biggest headache is over that their idiot friends are marrying not to the strangers but to each other. The couple made in heaven. She gazed upwards and folded her hands in prayers to thank The God for his miracle. A small train of tears flowed through her eyes.

Pinki excused herself and found an isolated nook to call her Adi, with his name she has developed to blush. She quickly dialed the speed dial number and waited for the other end to answer, it was mere 2 rings and he answered. Before he could say a word, the Rajdhani (Capital) Express was already in full speed. He could only catch word here and there, first it went over his head, but soon enough he figured out the whole drama. He was on the reel of his own signature laughter he couldn't believe that it was the same kind of drama been played at Maan's Mansion courtesy of Dadima. When he visited his Mansion after getting the address from his office and was not able to meet Maan, instead met with his Dadima and introduced him as Maan's friend and she quickly recalled him from the wedding as Geet's friend. The allusion of Geet's name alerted him and he didn't ask anything in details after. Dadima was already on a spree of praising her To -Be - Daughter -In -Law. As Pinki paused he took the charge over, "My lovely you have given the best gift of the day ever and I have something that you will jump on the moon, you know what I'm thinking probably you know already and I'm sure you have a plan ready let's meet up in thirty minutes at our usual place. I love you Pinki Muah." Pinki was staring at her phone, not sure if she was talking to the same Adi that she knew from college. He has transformed in to a walkie talkie affectionate, not that she is complaining but still getting a kiss like that from him was WOW. Love changes people, for better like Adi or for worse like their friends Geet and Maan. Jack and Jenny the most stubborn of all. She shook her head with annoyance and headed out to meet Adi.

First, I'm saving all the pictures.. for future reference 😉
Second, I was waiting for Pinky and Adi to get involved..ab aiyga mazaa 😆
Is Geet not tempted one bit to check out the her to-be husbands picture??...Geet's anger and self control ..wah wah
