Same Day, Khurana Industries Head office ?

Geet was lost in the realms of files in her cabin. She was joining office after more than 4 months and she was getting madder every moment. Sasha and other zonal heads were sitting in front of the imposing desk where currently a very livid and angry Geet sat. All were shivering and literally quacking in their shoes.

They flinched as Geet shouted. "What the hell has been going on behind my back? Have you guys been running a circus here? Now why are you all so quiet? I want answers damn it!!!" she stamped her hands on the desk loudly. No one dared to open their mouth else if they are fired. Geet had already thrown out the Gujrat section zonal head after finding massive discrepancies in the accounts.

Geet continued when she didn't get a single response "Not even a single file is up to date. Not even a single account is without a flaw. You have exactly two days?two days. I will discuss priorities with Sasha and she will coordinate with you all. After two days, I need pristine files?I hope you get it?My eyes are on you?one more slip up I am sure you can use your experience of Khurana Industries to land another good job?all are dismissed except Sasha"

Everybody whispered among themselves "Kis mitti ki bani hai?pehle se saari files padh ke aayi hai?isko yaad kaise rehta hai yaar."

Geet spent rest of the day explaining priorities to Sasha and coming up with a plan. By the time she pulled in her car at the porch of Khurana Mansions, she was tired and worn out. She walked inside to find a pacing Maan and a sleepy Rahul flipping thru the TV channels. Pari was sitting next to Rahul resting on his shoulder.

Geet said cheerfully - "Hi Guys"

Maan gave her a glare which would have scared even somebody who was not week hearted. Even before Rahul or Pari could respond Maan growled "Where the hell have you been? Do you even know what the time is?"

Geet glanced at the wall clock "hmmm?.11:30PM?Look I was really busy"

Maan gave an exasperated look and ignored her completely. He faced Rahul and almost spitted the words out "Rahul do you remember the deal. She was supposed to take it easy?Is this easy...Is this easy?"

Geet was now feeling angry at the reception she was receiving after such a long day She said cheekily - "Thanks for your concern but I can look after myself"

Maan stared at Geet and then spoke every word distinctively to drive the message clear and loud "Excuse me Ms. Geet Khurana?If you have forgotten let me remind you?I am still your doctor?hmmm?now you don't want your doctor to order complete bed rest do you? One word?just one word to Bade Pa will ensure you don't step a foot out of this house"

All this while, Maan was threateningly moving towards Geet who was moving backwards. She hit the door behind her back and realized that Maan was towering over her with a very menacingly look. She gulped down the saliva at the anger and concern she saw in his eyes and stuttered slowly "No"

When Maan still did not walk back and continued to glare, she looked at Rahul and Pari pleading him for help with her eyes. Rahul ? "No Geet, I am not going to help you?You know how worried we have been? Kyon aisa karti hai guddan? Sab kuch bhul jaati hai na tu work ke saamne"

Geet was touched with the care and knew she was probably wrong. She also knew that Maan was really angry. She made a baby face and pouted "Sorry?who aaj pehla din tha na?isiliye?from tomorrow I will be back by 7:00. I promise?please?pretty please"

Maan melted slightly at the sight of those pouting lips. His anger was replaced with a sudden desire to feel them. "God?please help me"

Pari finally intervened looking at the stern expressions both the boys were giving Geet - "Chal thik hai?koi na"

Geet gave a gratitude filled glance to Pari. Maan had moved a little behind and taking the opportunity Geet started moving upstairs when Maan grabbed her hand. She looked up quizzically. Maan queried - "Did you have dinner?"

She denied sheepishly. Maan sighed looking at Rahul who was shaking his head. Maan dragged Geet and made her sit on the table while Pari warmed up a plate of food in microwave. Three of them sat with her at the table. Geet felt a little uncomfortable with three people breathing down her neck and said apprehensively - "hmmm?aap log so jao?main kha loongi"

Maan placed his one hand flat on the table and used the second one for supporting his face looking at Geet sideways? "Tujhse kisi ne teri rai mangi? ?did we ask for your advice? ?chup chap kha"

Geet knew better to retort. She silently finished her food stealing glances at both the dudes sitting like her bodyguards and Pari who seemed to be enjoying her state. Geet chuckled looking at the love they were showering on her

Rahul ? "Bahut hasi aa rahi hai kyon?"

Geet ? "Nahin yaar?tum log kitne cute ho?hai mar jawan"

Maan ? "Cute?ewww!!!...Maan Singh Khurana is not cute"

"Cute?cute?cute" ? Geet almost sang finishing her dinner while Rahul and Pari just laughed looking at irritated Maan.

After her dinner was finished, Rahul, Pari and Geet wished Maan good night and started walking to their rooms upstairs while Maan started for KH. Geet glanced back when she reached her room and saw Maan still standing at the door with an angry face and his hands folded in front of his chest. She held her ears and mouthed "Sorry and Thank you"

Maan grinned and shook his head. He folded his hands to show sleeping position and mouthed "Good Night and no sorry and no thank you." He waved his hand as if saying a bye and both went to their rooms for another night of sleep; full of each other's dreams.
