I do think he is impulsive!! He is calm and collected in most situations...except when it concern's his relationships!!He doesn't think twice and understands only what he wants to at that moment...
like- when with salome, he possibly ignored the signs..the one who is vigilant most of the time, fails to find her identity or at least check twice?
Also- He is very attracted to his wife. and she reciprocates..no hidden facts there!!! but after what he told her about salome earlier...is there not some sort of rebound involved..here 5 days back..he was tearing his wrists open every time the CUP called salome a pro...and now that she betrayed him..he is back to Vidya..He does love her...but did not not think that for them to take the relationship to the next level..they at least need to have a heart to heart and get the fact clear where he stands on the salome part of the relationship...especially because he clearly told vidya a few days back that he loved salome?
***Shiv was the most impulsive of all your heroes!! Epitome of impulsiveness..and sugary sweet all at the same time!!
He told her he loves Salome two months ago, not several days (those lines in italics were their thoughts - not an actual conversation). But he has never said anything otherwise to either Vidya or himself. The only thing that he has admitted is that his love is not as strong as he thought.. clearly, he has some guilt about being attracted to Vidya... that occurred even before he found out that Salome betrayed him.
If you tie him up even now and someone talks of Salome that way, I dont' think his reaction would be any different. I think he would still be offended deeply - whatever his feelings for Salome maybe, I really don't think he is the type of man who would enjoy or even tolerate hearing someone trash a woman that way...
He did not come "back" to Vidya after discovering that Salome betrayed him. He was never involved with Vidya openly like that to begin with - in fact, this new dynamic in their relationship only started after they were both forced into that situation essentially until they had to acknowledge the attraction ultimately. When he left that cave that morning, he acknowledged that something in him had changed - I think in more ways that one. It was more of a beginning than a return.
Also, with the exception of not understanding who Salome really was (and there maybe other reasons for that aside from him being impulsive), when was Gaurav actually impulsive? When was it that he didn't consider Vidya's needs (to the best of his non-romantic abilities, I mean)?
