thank you...but can u answer my 1st question what was Geet doing in HArike?when i checked the google map it is abt 1 hr drive from Amritsar...so why was Geet not in the bus that met with the accident?

7.Time for action

He shud never have agreed to the condition put forward by the wily man and his chamchas. But they had caught him when his defenses were down. When his heart was filled with sympathy and gratitude, he had swooped down and took that promise from him, the promise not to tell Geet the truth, not to force the memory on her. Parmeet did not want Geet to feel that they were casting her away, or feel obliged to go with Maan coz he was her husband. He wanted her to have the same privilege he gave his elder daughter, the right to choose her life partner. She may have made her choice in her past, but he didn't want to be cheated of the opportunity to see them together, to be comforted by the truth that his damaad will take care of his little girl. When put like that who could say no to a loving father and the added impetus was provided by the arrogant challenge Jeet put forward...if he didn't believe himself capable of winning her back again. Now he understood the meaning of the smile that passed between the brothers. A month had passed and he has to admit his confidence of taking his Geet back with him in a month's time has been shattered. With his commitments keeping him in Delhi most of the time, his weekend trips to Amritsar did not have the desired outcome. Geet, no Simran, he corrected himself tried to keep aloof, running away from him at the slightest chance. Chances she did get, mostly provided by the Dhariwal brothers, who had a knack of turning up whenever he went to meet Simran at her home.

All that was going to change now. He has had enough of Geet's hide and seek and the interference of the Dhariwals. He has cleared all the urgent works in Delhi and given the charge of the office to Adi. As for a reason to be in Amritsar, he was taking up the contract for a string of restaurants in and around Amritsar. He had asked daadi to come with him.she promised to do so after her friend's operation. He smiled as he remembered her add on comment, "...if you don't manage to bring back my geet to me by then!"

"He is coming again Jazdee, this time to stay a while...Annie told me." Simi said, holding the inert hands of her sister.

"I don't know what I feel! Is this how you feel when you r about to fall in love? This strange excitement, a knowledge that my life is going to change?" She paused.

"Did you have this leap of heart, this dazzling rush whenever jeeju was near? I remember your face lighting up when you saw him or you talked about him. But how did you realize he was the one? I don't remember your early meetings. Those early days...in my pain-hazed head everything was so vague. I can't remember those times clearly nor the time before it. The accident has made a mess of my memories!"

She turned the hand she was holding, so that it was palm up. Idily she started drawing patterns on the palm as she continued.

" How come I knew his face? You said he was my dream lover...the prince who would take me away, that too on a unicorn! Jazdee, I didn't tell you something about that night, you know the night he came to my room. ... He kissed me! No, not me coz he thought he kissed his wife. But... tell you what I kind of liked it, not at first...but towards the end. Do you think he will do that again? But will he be thinking of his 'her', when he does? Oh dee, how I miss you!"

She wiped the corners of her eyes and smiled determinately.

" Don't you think you are stretching the sleeping beauty fairy tale a bit too long? If you want I can ask Jeeju to kiss you again! Not that I am unaware he does that every time he visits you! Poor jeeju, you are too stubborn, Jazdee."

With that accusation she leaned down to kiss Jassi's cheeks and whispered in her ears,"I do think I'll fall in love with Maan Singh Khurana and guess what you will miss all the fun!"

She stood up and said with a smile, "Love you Jazdee. Please wake up soon!"

At the door she turned back to give a wave and walked away. On the far side of the corridor, Jeet smiled as he reflected on the talk Simi had with Jassi and wondered about the next plan of action.

About the question I asked regarding Geet not being in the bus to Amritsar, though I got a wonderful idea to follow from drashsree, the idea I wanted to present is something else. Geet was not on the bus, she was abt an hour away from Amritsar coz she was going back to Maan when she cooled off!
