In the past few minutes, I have received numerous PMs about why the votes are being rechecked for the banner contest. I'm going to clarify this here.

Nobody told me to recheck the votes, and I never even read the comments posted in the results thread. Also, just so you know, I watch a whopping ZERO TV Serials at the moment, and I am not really a fan of ANY of the couples in the banners. I just love to write, which is what brought me to this forum and this position. It makes absolutely no difference to me which banner wins this contest as long as the contest was conducted appropriately and the result is fair. So please, for heaven's sake, do not blame me for being biased, or siding with a certain fan group.

I decided to recheck the votes on my own when I noticed that the person who conducted the contest (and counted the votes) ended up being the winner in the end. I went to other sections in the forums and noticed that KMH2 has conducted banner contests in many sections and declared himself the winner multiple times. I am NOT trying to imply that any of those wins were not deserved, but that is what made me suspicious and why I started to investigate more.

When I looked closely into the way the contest was handled, I realized that there were multiple opportunities for bias and several broken rules. Just to give you one example, the results thread was released even before the voting thread was closed. Members still thought the thread was open and they were posting their votes even after results had been declared. Don't you think that this is a problem? How can I just go along with these results when the process was not appropriate?

Secondly, when I counted the votes, I got different results that what KMH2 has posted. Once again, I am not blaming him for manipulating the results. This all could have been an inadvertent mistake. But either way, justice has to be served, right?

I personally think that the only way to make things right is to redo the entire contest, this time conducted by someone who is not participating. Maybe we can have a panel of 3 or 4 people count the votes this time and make sure everyone is on the same page before the results are released. I am currently getting in touch with other IF Development Team members to try to figure out what would be the best solution to this problem. If any of you have any suggestions, please feel free to post below.

If you still think I am being unfair or biased, then I really do not know what to do about that. I have always worked hard to keep this section clean, plagiarism-free and fair to all members. I do not want to let anything get in the way of that.

I Think it's all fair :)

Either put a banner where thre is no TV Couples ,thus people won't have to whine about if votings are being a pain

I absolutely LOVE that idea. The banner for the FF section should either have all couples (which is virtually impossible), or none of them. I will definitely propose the idea of no couples in the banner. Thanks!

i agree with that comment^ its impossible not to have problems when allowing there to be couples, so i think you should redo the contest but state that there shouldnt be any couples. allowing couples just brings in unwanted fan group issues!
and i dont think youre being unfair

I will suggest go with the banner which has no jodi datz the simple way everyone will be okay with it banner without any jodi

Roshni, let's give it a day or two. I am still trying to figure out exactly what to do. I think I should be the one to post the thread this time, but you may be able to help me design the thread and count the votes.

SuhanaSafar - I agree with the members who are saying that there should be a banner without any couple, because it is impossible to include all the couple in one small banner without being bias. And in India-Forums fan groups have grudges against each because they want their favourite couple to be everywhere. So for the next contest, I think the idea should be of how creatively one can produce a banner without adding any TV couple.

Maybe something like the one bellow:

I have no idea who made this but it was entered in the previous contest.

Edit: I think you are one of the most unbiased moderators I have come across within the few forums I used to visit!! You shouldn't be disheartened by a few members accusing you of being bias because the efficient running of this forum speaks for itself :)
