I'm trying my best to get over all my pending work. I hate paper work with passion. I wish I could have a PA for just that. Sometimes I wonder...where do I bring all this stamina to handle all by myself. Woman that I'm, says it all.

Home renovation that I'm doing is the flooring. Me and my dad did the laminate flooring in my parents bedroom, so cleaning and all. My back is killing me. This summer I have so many home projects scheduled.

No I have not done with the immigration paperwork yet.

Chapter Eight......

After the emotional episode, Maan started to meet up with them now and then at the coffee shop sometimes at lunch time with Adi or evenings after work for coffee with the Girls. One afternoon Maan and Adi were at the caf for their frequent lunch together Adi noticed Maan was bit strained. Upon insisting by Adi, Maan finally opened his business deal that he was facing a challenge with. This is the first time in his career he had to face such dilemma. He had been approached by a foreign based company who were opening their branch in India and had contacted his Construction Company for their building construction. Despite his topnotch staff he was not able to fit the budget, something was amiss and he was approaching the deadline. Upon hearing the issue, Adi couldn't hold himself and offered his assistance.

Adi asked hesitantly, "Maan if you don't mind asking me, I know it's not my place however I feel I might have solution to your problem based on what you have shared with me. Do you think it would be an issue if I get to see the details of the contract and the project? Adi noticed Maan bit confused and then surprised expression lingering on his face, after few seconds as if Maan was coming up with a conclusion, started to speak with an authority, "First of Adi, what makes you think that I would mind? I'm very open minded person I always look forward for any suggestions or concerns that comes across to me no matter where it comes. Second of it is your place to say or ask anything you wanted you are my friend and I thank you for that. You don't know how much I look forward for this time that we share. After Agustiya you have become close to me, remember one thing Maan Singh Khurana does not just let anyone come close to him and very special can make up to me and you are one of them." He took pride in saying those words. He paused to study the man in front of him who now felt the confident and was getting comfortable to what may come next. He continued, "And last but not least I would be much obliged if your expertise can solve my problem there will be no issue what so ever. In fact I'm very much privileged with your offer. I can feel the strain already ease off of my shoulder." He smiled at the gentleman as he was trying to stop him praising him for he has merely offered his help. Blushing he spoke, "Maan that is the upmost speech I have ever heard in my favour and from someone who is far higher and experienced in his own life who has built the Khurana Empire on his own. It would be my honour to be able to assist in any possible way." Before he can continue Maan cut him off by raising his hand to stop him. "Adi, there is no such thing called superior or inferior. To me one can acquire such position by their own hard work, knowledge and determination to achieve what they can do best in their life and I admire such qualities and you bore those. So tell me when we can sit down and work on it?" Adi, willingly answered, "Whenever you think is the best time." With that they decided to get on it after work on the very same day.

As the days passed by, Maan and Geet were bonding at the same speed. As much as their comfort level was taking different level, Geet always argued over his flirting with girls, and often lead to both end up fighting, and sometimes trapping him in embarrassing situation, and she enjoyed her best and left her behind the angry Maan. She didn't approve his flirting at all matter of fact and he knew that very well, but flirting came to him naturally his intention never serious. He made a mental note to get a grip on it as it was getting a bit serious with Geet. At one point, she didn't even talk to him for two whole days and he had to apologies and did things for her that he never did in his life for anyone and definitely not for a Girl. This reserved girl has changed him for good and it showed to, to many, and he was often teased all the time and that could be the reason why Dadima was pursuing him.

Tomorrow was the day that Maan was waiting desperately, this moment, this day to arrive ever since Adi mentioned it to him that evening after he solved his biggest hurdle on his first foreign project. That he is planning to propose Pinki on her birthday. It was a surprise party set up for Pinki, only Maan knew about the proposal. He was surprised when he came to know that Adi carried a torch for Pinki. He never thought they would make an excellent couple, Adi being shy and quiet whereas Pinki, so bubbly and loud. That brought a proud smile on his face to appreciate his friendship with them. He never failed to know people very well at the first meeting. He was proud to have Adi as his friend and now his colleague. Ever since Adi had solved his issue, Maan was associating more with him than anyone else. In one of his gathering, Adi had shared his dream of opening his own consulting firm in finance one day. Maan had no doubt in his friend capability that he will lack any knowledge to stop him succeed and encouraged him by offering him his own company's finance department under Adi's shelter. Adi has proved himself with in short period his worth and his company was now in demand to many businesses.

As the song ended, he got up from his chair and walked inside to go to bed for the fresh morning to come. The new beginning was around the corner. He switched off the light on his night table and laid on his back, glancing one more time at the moon and said out loud,

"lete hain hum rukhsat aap sey key kal mulakaat hogi...issi umeed sey kal ki subha kuch khaas hongi. Shubba Kher."

With that, he captured Geet's beautiful face from his memory and closed his eyes.

Folks....I know there was no Geet and Maan meeting, I had to fit this to get to the next chapter. Hope you will approach the effort.

I'm happy that Adi and Pinki are getting engaged. Now only Maan and Geet need to get more serious. I'm guessing this surprise party for Pinki might also have something special in store for Maaneet. I sure hope so!

WOW Limerance, you are very early today? I guess IF is very dry today on Sunday afternoon.
