Mayank took another step forward towards, Nupur but she moved back.

Nups: "Please Mayank".

Mayank: "What happened Nupur did I do something wrong?".

Nups: "Mayank, what do you think that you will say sorry, kiss and then patch up, it's not that easy Mayank, you don't know how I have lived for the past two years".

Mayank: "Do you think it was easy for me Nupur, I loved you as well Damn it". Mayank snapped, as anger was taking over, because Nupur couldn't understand that he went through the same pain as well.

Nups: "Oh really then why didn't you trust me Mayank? Why?" Mayank took a deep breath to cool him down.

Mayank: "Listen, Nupur at that time I didn't know what happened to me at that point, suddenly seeing with Rohan, I lost my power to think and said whatever that came to my mind. I am sorry Nupur, I am really sorry, just give me another chance, I will do everything to prove myself". Mayank said looking deeply in Nupur's eyes. Nups knew that he meant every word he said, because she could see the regret in his eyes, but it wasn't that easy.

Nups: "Mayank it's not that easy, I can't do this".

Mayank: "why not, have you stopped loving me Nupur, it was just one mistake".

Nups: "yes mayank a mistake that caused two years of pain".Mayank was loosing the argument, he knew that he had to prove himself to Nupur, but she wasn't giving him the chance.

Mayank: "I went through the same mistake Nupur, you can't punish me for it forever, and you love me that's why you came back".

Nups: "Mayank I am not punishing you for anything, in fact I have forgiven you Mayank for all the bad things you said to me, but Mayank I can't trust you with my heart again". Nups said as tears rolled down her eyes, Mayank felt a pang of pain in his heart, only because he knew, she was right.

Mayank: "Nups Please". Nups put her hands up to stop Mayank.

~ Three weeks went by Nupur, treated Mayank just as her boss; she didn't have any other conversation then Just Business. Mayank was frustrated; by the way Nupur was treating him, he tried many times to talk to her, but she pushed him away. Everyday Mayank was frustrated, upset, hurt, slowly he had started to think, that he had lost Nupur by his own mistake.

Knock, knock, Mayank looked up, coming out of his thoughts Nupur was standing at the door.

Mayank: "Good morning Miss Bhushan, come in". Mayank said in a dull voice.

Nups: "Good Morning sir, I need to talk to you, I need you to pass my leave application". Nups said putting a piece of paper on mayank's desk.

Mayank: "Miss Bhushan, I have already told you that you can't leave the job, before".

Nups: "I know sir, it's my leave application, because I need to return to Delhi, it's my cousins wedding". Nups spoke up interrupting Mayanl.

Mayank: "Oh, well Congrats to yoru cousin, (mayank looks at the application, and signs, what was the point in stopping her, maybe she needed sometime away from him), Here!". Mayank handed Nups the application.

Nups: "thanks!". Nups turned aournd to walk out, she didn't realize when Mayank had became behind her, she felt his hand on her arm and turned around to look at him.

Mayank: "Nupur please, Maian jaanta hun, ki maine tumhe bohut hurt kiya hai, likin tumse pyaar bhi bohut kiya hai, Give me one chance Nupur, you know we both can't live without each other".

Nups: "Wrong Mayank, we can live without, each other, we did live without each other for two years, all of this can't live without you is crap". Mayank stared into Nups eyes deeply he wanted to look for a little emotion, little love, but he found nothing, they were blank.

Mayank: "Oh really, I thought you believe in love more than anything, you were waiting for your prince charming since the age 15, and you suddenly stop believing in it, it's hard to believe Nupur, Love is not just a word, you can't come out of it, once you fell in it". Nups pulls her arm out of Mayank's grip.

Nups: "you're right Mayank, I believed in love, till the time my heart wasn't shattered into pieces, and since it is, it can't love". Nups said with a straight face.

Mayank: "Nupur, what did I do wrong Damn, just one mistake, will you punish me for it for life". Mayank said in a frustrated tone, why Nupur couldn't just let go of the past and accept him.

Nups: "Give me one reason why wouldn't I, you punished me for something that wasn't my fault, so why can't I do the same Mayank". Nups snapped at him.

Mayank: "because that will be stupidity to make the same mistake I did".

~Nups was sitting in her apartment doing her packing for Delhi her flight was tonight.

Dia: "Nupur are you seriously sure, you want to go, I mean come one Nupur".

Nups: "Dia there is nothing left for me here anymore, I just wanted to give mayank the explanation, and I have done that". Nups said putting her clothes in the bag.

Dia: "Oh really so you didn't come here because you still love Mayank, you came here just get off the guilty feeling that you didn't get a chance to explain yourself".

Nups: "Dia please this is not the time to talk about all this".

Dia: "Nupur you are ruining your life, Mayank loves you, you love him give him a chance". Nups sat down on the bed, a tear escaped her eyes.

Nups: "I want to Dia, but I don't know what's wrong with me I can't, I afraid Dia what if mayank broke my heart again Dia, trust is what holds the relationship together, what is the gurantee that Mayank will have more trust in me, he thought I was cheating on him, despiting the fact how much I loved him". Dia sat beside nups and put her hand on her shoulder.

Dia: "Nups Love is not based on gurantees".

Nups: "I know Dia, but it's usless to talk about all this now, my decision is already made for me".

Dia: "You can change it Nupur, I know you love Mayank a lot, can you live without him".

Nups: "I have done it once, I can do it again".

Dia: "You can't Nupur, I have seen you crying for him, you spent two years without him, because you accepted the fact that he hated you and you can't get him back, but now things are different Mayank wants you now, can you spent the rest of your life knowing that he still loves you". Nups got off the bed wipping the tears that were continuously rolling down her eyes.

Nups: "Dia please, Mayank can't decide when he gets to walk out of my life or come back in".

Dia: "what is wrong with you Nupur, first it was Mayank's ego coming in your relationship and now it's you, just get it over with Nupur".

Nups: "it's easy for you to say that diya your heart, and trust has never been broken, but mine is".

Dia: "Yah maybe I can't understand the pain you went through, but I do understand that what you are doing is wrong".

Nups: "I don't know about that, but its already done now I can't change it".

Dia: "Fine then ruin your life don't expect me to be there, while you ruin your life". Dia stomped out of nups room, then her apartement.

~Mayank was walking towards his car, it was almost 9:00 in the night, and he had to work extra for his new deal assignment. As he walked into the parking lot he saw Dia's car parked there beside his and Dia was standing in front of her car waiting for him.

Mayank: "Hi Dia, what's up? Everything all right, what are you doing here?". Mayank questioned her as he walked towards her.

Dia: "No Mayank nothing is alright!". Dia said in a stern voice.

Mayank: "What's wrong?, Did Benji do something?".

Dia: "This isn't about Benji or me, Its about you and Nupur, what are you doing Mayank what is wrong with you?". Mayank looked at her confused.

Mayank: "What did I do Dia?".

Dia: "Don't you love Nupur".

Mayank: "ofcourse I do, I have told her this many times, but she is not ready to forgive me Dia, what can I do?"

Dia: "If you love her, then How come you let her her go?". Dia said her voice rising with each word.

Mayank: "How can I stop her Dia, she wanted to attend her cousins wedding, and I think it better if I give her some time and space, so she can think about what she wants". Dia held her head in disbeliefe.

Dia: "OMG I can't believe this, she lied to you, and you trusted her, Mayank".

Mayank: "What do you mean she lied to me?" He held Dia by the shoulders.

Dia: "Nupur is not going back to delhi for her cousin's wedding she is going back to delhi for her OWN wedding, Mayank, she told her parents about how you guys called off the enagagment, her parents were really pissed at her, they called her back to delhi, because they have fixed her relationship with some guy, Mayank you have got to stop her, she is ruining her life, she loves you but her ego is coming in her way, Mayank, Nupur is getting married, her engagement is in two days". Mayank felt his body go weak all of the sudden, it was as if his legs couldn't hold his weight up, he was shocked, he couldn't even in dreams see Nupur marry other guy, what happened with Rohan was just a misjudgment. Nupur couldn't really punish him to this extent, she couldn't marry other guy. Mayank fell against his car door.

Dia: "Mayank, you okay". Dia said trying to help him, but he was too weak to move.

Mayank: "How can she marry someone else?" Mayank whishpered in disbeliefe.

Hope you guys like the update, and don't think that the story is stretching, its just when i started this FF i knew how i am going to take the story, sorry if you think i am stretching it too much.
