Hi guys how are you all. I would like to clarify few things, marriage is not going to happen soon, it is just a way to get mayank and nupur to realize their flaws.
@Auroni.92: Don't worry they will sort out the problem before they get married :)

Part 8: Mistaken

Nupur entered office early in the morning, hoping to get a chance to talk with mayank before anyone else came. She walked into mayank's office he was there reading a file. He looked up seeing Nupur enter.

Mayank: "Good morning Ms. Bhushan what brings you here so early today". Nups looked at him.

Nups: "Actually hmm I had to ask you something (she stammered, she didn't know how to start the marriage topic with mayank, It was weird enough he had said yes, why he did that was what she wanted to know).

Mayank: "Yes Miss Bhushan".

Nups: "Hmm actually I was wondering why hmm why".

Mayank: (looked irritated) "Miss Bhushan why don't you go back to your office and think up question then come back". Mayank said in a bossy voice.

Nups: "No, I just want to ask you why did you say yes".

Mayank: "Yes to what". Mayank said in loud voice putting his file aside and giving Nupur his undivided attention.

Nups: "You know exactly what I am talking about, why did you say yes to marriage proposal". Mayank stood up and walked towards Nupur, he took her by the shoulder and smiled warmly. His voice soft and low.

Mayank: "And how is this any of your business Miss. Bhushan, it's my personal life I can do whatever I had like". Nups looked at him confusingly, then she took a deep breath. She knew mayank well he was not going to make this easy for her at all.

Nups: "that is my business mayank because you said yes to marrying me". Nups said in a stern yet low voice, as she saw workers enter the office.

Mayank: "Oh I am sorry, but in the office you are my marketing manager, not my future wife to be so I had rather answer your question outside of professional environment". Nups was about to protest but he walked out of the office. No Nupur was sure there was a reason mayank had said yes and she was desperate to know what it was.

~Hours went by and Nupur busied herself with work, finally the day was over, she walked out of her office only to bump into mayank.

Nups: "I am sorry". She uttered and walked past him.

Mayank: "Nupur wait I will take you". Nupur turned around, looking at mayank with surprise.

Nups: "excuse me?".

Mayank: "I said I will take you".

Nups: "I don't believe in going with my boss". Mayank was already tired from the work.

Mayank: "well then you should be ready to go with your future husband". He replied irritated not even realizing what he had said. Nups looked at him for a moment.

Nups: "Well actually since this is an office you are my boss, and I don't believe in mixing personal relationships with professional, okay". She said sarcastically and started walking toward the exit.

Mayank: "well office hours are finished, and anyways your parent and my mom want to see us now". Nupur turned in an instant.

Nups: "what??, oh great(She muttered under her breath). She walked towards mayank's car who followed her behind.

~The car ride was not at all peaceful.

Nups: "mayank would you stop changing the cds just put one in".

Mayank: "excuse me this is my car, I can do anything I want to". Nups was very irritated with mayank constantly changing cds, she loved to listen to songs in car it was her habbit.

Nups: "well I don't care, either just turn the thing off or put one cd". Nups said. Mayank finally let one cd play, unfortunately it was the Cd she hated. She moved forward to turn the player off, mayank turned it on, nups turned it off. It went back and forth back and forth for while. Finally the play went off.

Mayank: "Great". Mayank said in a pissed voice.

Nups: "well that is what you get" Nups said with a straight face, though her lips curled in slight smile. Which mayank noticed. He started driving really fast. He was probably driving at speed limit of 80 km per hour.

Nups: "what''''.the hec are ''.you doing'..". Nups said trying to stable herself.

Mayank (smiled victoriously): "well it's my car and this is how I drive it". Within few minutes they reached Mayank's home. He parked the car in the drive way, nups could open her eyes her hairs were flowing in all directions. Nups gave a glare to Mayank, who gave a childish smile, before stepping out of the car.

~Nups and mayank waited outside the door, while Shilpa opened it. She looked at Nupur, her hair were all messed up, because of mayank's driving.

Shilpa: "Nupur beta yeh kya haalat bana rakhi hai, baalo ko kya hua". Shilpa said lightly touching her hair. Nups gave one glare to mayank who smiled wickedly. Nups bent down to touch shilpa's feet.

Nups: "kuch nahi aunty bas aise hi". Nups, Shilpa and mayank and entered the house. Nups parents were also present there. They hugged Nupur, and then mayank took their blessings. Nups looked at him admiringly, as he talked with her parents.

Shilpa: "Nupur beta, Mayank hum logo ne aaj tumhe bhulaya hai shaadi fix karne ke liye".

Nups: "Kya!". She didn't want to marry now, she didn't even know if mayank had forgiven her or not.

N(Navita Bhushan)M: "Kyun koi problem hai".

Nups: "Mom'shaadi abhi '..nahi'..i mean main chahati hun ki ek saal aur apni internship puri kar lo". She looked hopeful towards her mom who was not going to change her decisions.

Shilpa: "Thik hi to Navita agar Nupur ko ek saal chahiye toh thik, shaadi toh kabhi na kabhi karni hai". Nups smiled at Shilpa.

NM: "Thik hai toh phir engagement kar dete hain". Nups looked at her mom, she was not going to let Nupur off guard.

Shilpa: "yeh thik, hai kyun na parso (next day after tomorrow)ki date fix karde". Nups was about to protest but her mom immediately said yes.

NM: "Yes yeh bilkul thik hai".

Nups: "Mom itni jaldi kaise I mean family ko bhi toh'". Nups tried to find excuse to move the engagement.

ND: "tum uski chinta mat karo who toh waise bhi aaj aa rahe hai". Now nups was stuck.

ND: "mayank beta tumhe toh koi problem nahi hai na engagement se". Nups looked at mayank who looked at her too, she mouthed no to him, mayank smiled.

Mayank: "nahi uncle jaise aap logo ki marzi". Nups looked at him shocked.

Both of parents started deciding about the engagement preparation, while mayank and Nupur quietly gave them company. Nupur had the urge to ask mayank why he agreed to the engagement moreover the marriage. She could take in everything all of a sudden her life was taking various turns, the fight with mayank, marriage proposal and now engagement in two day. Her head was spinning with question, that only mayank could answer. Mayank on the other hand was just going along with everything.

~Nups was in her room with Dia, sitting on the bed, with cup of coffee.

Dia: "wow Finally you are getting engaged in two days that is a wonderful news". Nups looked glum. Dia: "Hey what's wrong". Dia asked in a soft sympathetic voice.

Nups (gets up from her bed) : "I don't know Dia all of this is happening so suddenly, and mayank is not even telling me why he said to the marriage, it is all so confusing to me".

Dia: "relax Nupur, I told you na he loves you why else would he say yes, maybe he realized him mistake".

Nups (sighed): "I don't know Dia".

Dia: "Just relax Nupur everything will be fine". Nups smiled and whispered I hope so too. Dia: "anyways I should get going Benji is probably waiting for me okay bye". She hugged and Nups and left.

Nups: "bye". Nups walked out in the balcony and looked at stars; she couldn't understand what the future held for her. Nups closed her eyes and memories of mayank and her passed through her mind.

Nups (whispering) : "I love you Mayank". Nups didn't even realize what she had muttered, because it came straight from her heart.
