Abhay's Room, Raichand Mansion

She watched him as he slept like a baby , with his cheek on the pillow and a disturbed expression on his handsome chiseled face . She couldn't control her excitement and her big brown eyes seemed to glitter in anticipation ' he would get up anytime now and take her in his arms. Yes! After a wait of 300+ years, this man whom she may have loved less than herself was going to be hers. Anushka was a stubborn witch but you could trust her with her word. And the look of depression on Anushka's face as she sent Abhay with her , said everything . Abhay had forgotten Piya's love. When Maithli had brought a dazed Abhay home, Chaand and Haseena had been shocked to see her with Abhay. What the hell! What was she doing with Abhay! But owing to their psychic powers and the mental connection , the foster parents had read Abhay's mind and they were shell-shocked. Ah, that look of devastation on their faces from their own Anushka. Maithli just couldn't help gloating at the fact that just how she had managed to throw the Raichands and Anushka off balance ' with one single stroke. Chaand and Haseena were so livid that they had told Maithli to get out of the house. Leave Abhay alone! But Maithli had told them that it was no use throwing her out of the house. Abhay would come looking for her. And throwing that smirk in their face, Maithli , holding Abhay's arm possessively, had walked into his room.

Now, she impatiently waited for Abhay to wake up. She had butterflies in her stomach and her face flushed pink. She was locking and unlocking her fingers in anxiety. The magic spell had dazed Abhay , Anushka had reassured her. He would take some time to come to grips with his conscience sense and when he does, you will have the Abhay that you wanted ' conditioned , manipulated and set like a machine. Anushka had sniggered but Maithli didn't mind . She had got what she wanted.

As Maithli smiled at the turn of events , Abhay groaned a little in his sleep and moved a bit. Maithli immediately looked at him and crossed her fingers.Abhay slowly opened his eyes- his ice blue concentric circles expanding and contracting. He looked up at the ceiling and slowly sat up , hammers playing in his head and a strange stiffness and heaviness in his apparently non-existent heart. As soon as his vision settled, he saw Maithli sitting at his window and looking at him anxiously. He blinked his eyes a few times and he could hear a distant feminine voice telling him in his head that he loved her , he wanted her and that he has always loved her. As he got down from the bed, looking at Maithli's delicate features, her big brown eyes , her innocent face encased in a mane of jet black straight hair that could put ravens to shame- his rigid and disturbed face began to soften. Maithli's breath is stuck in her throat and she can hear her heartbeats echo inside her body.

Abhay comes close to her and looks at her face blankly for a few seconds. Then, as if guided by some force inside him, he slowly raises his hand to her face . He touches her face tenderly, feeling the contours of her face and a slow smile creeps across his face , making his dimples appear that could melt mountains.

Abhay ( softly )- I used to watch you sleep, Maithli. Since when did we have this role reversal? '( smiles and holds her face)'..i still need to touch you to believe that you are back for me . As much as I hate Sambhav , am grateful that he released you from the tomb , even if for his own selfish reasons.

Maithli could break into a dance of wild joy right now if she could. Was this Abhay? Abhay who had professed and proclaimed undying soulful love for Piya and shunned her like a garbage bin? Abhay who seemed like an impossible dream? He was with her ' touching her ' holding her and 'and'.he had just said those words that she had been dying to hear. As evil as Maithli was , she felt tears spring up in her eyes and her lips quiver. She held Abhay by his shoulders and looked at his face searchingly.

Maithli ( pleadingly)- You do love me, right? You love me? Maithli?

Abhay ( wipes her tears in tender surprise )- Of course , I do, Maithli. What kind of a question is this?....( runs his hand through her hair)'I love you, Maithli. I have always loved you. Come here.

Abhay gently pulls Maithli into his arms and engulfs her in a hug , resting his chin on her head. Maithli closes her eyes in pure bliss.

Maithli ( to herself )- I won him, Piya. By hook AND crook, I WON him back'.

As Abhay's hand rests in Maithli's hair , he still feels that stiffness in his heart and for once he feels her hair again. What was it that was bothering him? Why didn't Maithli's hair '..oh well,'maybe Abhay was thinking too much?.....OR "feeling" too much?

Sambhav's House.

The clock struck a 8pm on the huge ivory time piece that adorned a whole black wall in the living room of Sambhav's house. Piya was sitting lifelessly on a couch , looking into blank space and twirling her trembling fingers around her curly black hair. Her eyes had dried out of all life fluid , her lips dried like rocks and her rose skin drained of all colour. She just had to come to Sambhav's house. There was no other place to go. She had to let out everything ' speak to someone - scream her lungs out ' cry her heart out and she could only think of Sambhav and Misha. John had opened the door for Piya when she had come to Sam's house after repeatedly trying to reach him on phone. John was taken aback by Piya's visit because Piya rarely ever showed up at Sambhav's house. John had made Piya comfortable and told her that Sambhav had gone for a 'clan' meeting and he would be back soon. Piya had called Misha as well and Misha had become alarmed at the sound of her voice. Misha was helping Pancchi get into a haute couture Yves Laurent piece sent by her boss. She had dropped everything and said that she was coming to Sambhav's house rightaway!

John brought Piya a glass of sweet lime . Piya looked up at him and lifted the glass with shaky hands . However, as shaken as she is , the glass drops from her hands and the fine crystal falls on the Arabic carpet , the drink soaking the carpet. Piya blinks back tears and picks up the glass but a familiar masculine hand takes the glass from her hands. She looks up and sees that familiar pair of gorgeous grey eyes looking down at her in shock and concern. Sambhav takes the glass from her hands , gives it to John and makes Piya sit back. Piya's face crumbles .

Sambhav(kneeling down next to her) ' What in the world happened to you!....DAMN! Piya! What' what is wrong with you? Look at me and say something , will you? Wh-Who did this to you?...( alarmed)'Abhay! Did Abhay do something to you? '.( shakes Piya by her shoulders )'.Piya, TALK TO ME!

Piya ( bursting into tears )- Abhay didn't do anything!....( pulls Sam by his collar)'Abhay will never do anything to me now, Sam! Abhay has FORGOTTEN me!

Sambhav is stunned to hear Piya's breakdown and a that moment , a candlestick falls off an oakwood ledge. Piya and Sambhav look behind and see a shocked Misha who has just heard Piya's outburst and pushed over the candlestick in shock.

Misha ( coming towards them )- Wh-What did you just say, Piya?

Sambhav ( totally at sea )- This can't be true, Piya.Do you even know what you are saying? Abhay has forgotten you?...( makes her look at him chin up as Misha comes and sits next to her)'.That is impossible!

Misha ( calming down a sobbing Piya )- Piya, will you please stop crying and scaring us? Tell us what happened? Did you and Abhay have a fight?

Piya ( looking at them with bloodshot eyes )- Anushka''Anushka has cleansed Abhay's memory. Abhay has '.he has'.( gulps)'.forgotten that he loved me or that I loved him. Anushka has conditioned Abhay's memory and he'.he'( breaks into tears again)' he loves Maithli now'he only remembers Maithli now.

Sambhav is so shocked that he just sits down on the carpet , holding his head while Misha looks at both of them blankly.

Misha ( her head reeling )- Anushka? Maithli? Abhay's cleansed memory?.....Am I suddenly the Alice in wonderland?

Sambhav ( holds up his hand to shut her up )- Anushka is a powerful witch , the last of the sapphire lineage . Maithli is Piya's doppelganger '.shut your hanging mouth , no time to get shocked and faint as I have no smelling salts in my house'.Maithli is Piya's great aunt , looks exactly like her and well, Abhay was in love with her until he found out that Maithli was nothing but my pawn to trap him'.(looks at Piya)'.when did this happen? Where is Anushka?

Misha is so stuffed with these revelations that she has to blink her eyes twice 'thrice to fight the blackouts that she is having. Maithli is Piya's doppelganger? That means we have one more Piya?

Piya ( sadly )- I can't explain what exactly has happened , Sam. But Anushka hs apparently gone to the 'underworld' to fix something that will help her put Maithli and Natasha's schemes to rest''( shudders )' I saw it happen in front of my eyes.. some porcelain lady extracted Anushka's soul and her soul jumped into a well of fire'..

Sambhav ( understanding)- Oh , I see. Her Highness. Keepers' Tower. Middle of earth'.( struck)' that means a Keeper is keeping and guarding Anushka's body! Where is she?

Misha is speechless and just getting a hang of all this supernatural talk.

Piya ( nods )- Zeenia. Some Zeenia has taken over Anushka's body until Anushka's return. '.( shakes her head)'.everything is over, Sam. Maithli won. She always wanted to possess Abhay. And she arm-twisted Anushka into doing it'.( tears well up in her eyes )'.my world has ended.

Sambhav and Misha put their arms around Piya and comfort her.

Misha ( feeling a lump in her throat )- Don't say that, Piya. I don't know how this magic stuff may have worked ' but what I do know is that Abhay can't forget you. Your love is too real, Piya.It cannot go out just like that.

Sambhav ( patting Piya's head )- All is going to be fine, Piya. Faith transcends all the magic in this world. You cannot give up and leave Abhay to live a lie with someone as devious as Maithli. I know what it is about. Anushka's curse. That is what Maithli and Natasha have played upon.

Piya ( amidst sobs )- There is no point, Sam. Abhay has FORGOTTEN me. I can't undo what Anushka has done.

Misha ( putting Piya's curls back in place )- What if you can, Piya? Abhay's mind may have forgotten you, but his heart just has to remember you.

Sambhav ( looks disturbed )- Too much is going on and too much is happening around us. We can't say much on Abhay until we see him tomorrow in college. Maithli won't be there as she can't enter college with Piya around. I guess , not only do I need to round up and fix Maithli , I need to see Chaand and Haseena as well. '.( thinks)'..Piya, I know this is not the right time to ask you anything but ' think and tell me. Is there anything else that Anushka said before she left?

Piya blinks her eyes at Sambhav.

Flash : Anushka telling Piya to warn Abhay about Abheer'..

Piya ( nods )- Abheer''somebody called Abheer. Anushka said that I must warn Abhay about Abheer'..

As soon as Piya takes Abheer's name , Sambhav becomes stone 'faced and his grey pupils seem to freeze in his eye sockets. Misha also notices the change in Sambhav.

Misha ( putting gentle hand on Sambhav's shoulder )- Sam?....Sam?

Piya ( worriedly)- Y-You know Abheer?

Sambhav ( fighting his own stunned silence )- Me. Everyone on the face of this earth can only'..only wish that we didn't know him'.( springing into action)'. Come on. Get up. We need to see the Raichands and Zeenia RIGHTAWAY!

Tai Chiz Restro-Bar

Pancchi got down from her car and looked at her wrist watch. It was 8.50pm. She straightened her dress- a hotpink figure hugging number that fell smoothly like strawberry syrup on her delicate slender frame. Diamond chandeliers hanging from her ears. Check. Her short black mane swept together in a curly fashion. Check. A Cartier watch gifted to her by her Dad on her 26^th birthday. Check. Nude make up with a hint of pink gloss. Check. A pair of silver strappy sandals entwined around her beautiful feet. Phew! Check. Pancchi couldn't believe that she had taken so many efforts to deck up like a pastry with a cherry on top for Daksh. Daksh had fixed this dinner date with her by putting a gun on her head . He had sent the dress , the earrings , the sandals in this huge black box with a red bow and 150 yellow roses. Arnab and Madhu had almost fainted but Pancchi had managed to convince them that it was her boss' generosity and see! The roses are yellow, not red. But the looks that her parents kept on giving her until she left the house, had been unsettling. Which boss sends his manager a limited edition Yves Laurent number with such expensive shoes and jewelery? Ughs! Daksh! Everything for Daksh just had to be expensive , royal, king-sized and flashy. For Daksh, class, taste, refinement and richness defined a man/woman in society. Daksh had sent all this stuff to Pancchi because he didn't want her to show up with him, looking like a commoner. He wanted her to look special because she was going to be seen with Daksh at Tai Chiz , the swanky hangout where who-is-who of Dehradun dined and drank.

Whatever, sulked Pancchi and locking her car walked to the restaurant. Two women , obviously high staffers of TC going by their perfect linen suits, smiled at her and handing her a bouquet of orchids , led her into the restaurant. Pancchi walked into the rich Chinese interiors of the posh restaurant. But she found it empty with staffers and waiters smiling at her and bowing to her as though she was some kind of a queen. Pancchi was puzzled. What happened to this place? Why is it empty? Is the whole of Dehradun fasting today? And where the hell was''was'..

And then, she saw him'..

Daksh was standing at the huge clock made in the design of Chinese horoscope. Dressed impeccably in a black suit , his hands in his pockets and looking at the ticking clock ' it was 8.58 pm now. Pancchi's click-clocking heels alerted his ears and he turned around. His usually grim face slowly melting into a smile ' ah, the way his facial muscles moved. He created such a mirage of being devastatingly good-looking which he , to be honest , was not , conventionally. Pancchi hated that smile- it always made her heart lurch and sent her weak in the knees. He stepped down from the small elevation and looked at her , proudly.

Daksh ( taking her by her arm )- Splendid. Just as I had imagined you'd look in the cast that I create for you'( adjusts the strap of her dress casually )'this is the Pancchi I would like to see. Come with me. You are going to love this'.

Pancchi follows him as he leads her by holding her hand. For a few fleeting seconds, Pancchi , warmed by the touch of his skin thinks of her childhood'.and the fairytales that her parents used to read to her''.

I was almost moved to tears with piya's and anushka's current state of mind😭 . It was really terrible to see both of them so vulnerable🥺

The best part for me was Zeenia's intro. This chick is awesome, i loved how she said 'Every evil eye that is raised at Piya , will not live to see anything else in the world' hopefully she'll provide us with some comic relief amidst all the tension.

Keep up the awesome work👏, n plz continue soon whenever u can although Im dreading the whole abhay-metz confrontation. i know how she'll throw herself at him🤢

Yay! Finally Zeenia is here! You don't know how long I have been waiting for her! Now we're going to have some fun. The mood has been really off for the last few chapters. Who is this Abheer? From what you had written before, it seemed like him and Anushka loved each other, or at least Anushka loved him. From what you have written, it seems like Abheer is evil. Is he? I wonder ki kya dushmani hai in dono brothers ke beech mein. Hopefully Zeenia will help get Piya's spirits up so that she can get Abhay back from Maithli.
