Geet: "Open the door Maan!" she said and banged some more
Maan opened the door and just as he was about to ask if everything was alright, Geet literally pounced on him like a tiger, circling her legs around his waist.
Maan stumbled backwards a bit and used the wall to regain his balance. He then turned around and hit the door shut with his elbow and then headed back inside to the living room. He sat down on the sofa, so now Geet was in his lap.
He could stay in that position forever.
But something was wrong.
Maan: "What's wro --"
Before he could even ask, Geet started burbling stuff.
Geet: "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I didn't mean it. I didn't mean it. I'm a wh**e, I'm sorry! I'm so so so sorry! Your going to hate me, I know! Don't be mad at me! Don't leave me please --"
Maan: "Shutup" he said in a tone which made Geet shut her mouth. Her legs were still circled around his waist and her face was nuzzled in his neck. She smelt Maan.
He was Warm. Inviting. Delicious.
And that's when she realized he just had a shower. A drip fell from his slightly damp hair and went down her back. She shivered.
She felt safe again. She felt as if everything was alright. She wanted to stay in this position forever. His arms fitted perfectly around her waist.
Maan: "Firstly, your not a wh**e. Secondly, why are you sorry? Thirdly, why would I be mad at you? Or leave you when you need help?" he said and rocked her back and forth.
His rocking made Geet feel calm again.
Geet: "Keep rocking me please" she said and saw another drip fall. This time, it fell on his neck. Geet licked it away and it tasted just as sweet as Maan.
Maan closed his eyes and nuzzled his face in her neck and sniffed her scent. He then rocked her back and forth just like a baby.
Geet: "I can't show you my face. I'm ashamed" she said and hugged him tighter. She then hid her face in Maan's tousled hair as she just couldn't get enough of his smell. He smelled wonderful. Inviting and ... Oh so many more words she could use to describe him.
Maan: "Do you want to tell me?" he said and lightly planted a kiss on the nape of her neck
Geet shuddered.
Geet: "How about you just read my thoughts and get it over with" she said and continued to sniff him more. She hugged him even tighter this time and huddled her face in his broad shoulders. He made her feel so safe. It was like nothing could come between them.
Maan held her hand.
There was sudden silence in the room.
The only thing Geet could hear was Maan's breathing. Even Maan's breathing made her feel safe. He was like a magnet.
He was dark, and mysterious.
But his mysteriousness made her feel even excited when she was around him.
Both didn't speak for another 5 minutes.
Maan: "It's not your fault" he said
How could she even think this way? How could she even think that he would leave her? Just like that? Maan pondered in his mind.
Maan: It's not your fault" he repeated again and ran his hand up and down her back to comfort her.
Geet: "I'm sorry" she whispered in his ear
Maan: "Don't be sorry. It's not your fault" he said in a low voice
This is what Geet loved about him. He seemed to understand her. Completely. If it was some other guy, he would just tell her to get out.
Maan was different. He was so understanding. He didn't judge people.
Maan: "It's called obsession. It's your dark side. Every immortal has their dark side. Your dark side is obsession. You can stop it. By staying away from him" he said
Geet: "But what about school? He sits next to me in some classes" she whispered
Maan: "Sit next to me then" he said simply
There was another silence.
Geet's eye then caught the canvas. He was drawing her. Again.
Geet: "You were drawing me?" she said softly
Maan: "Your beautiful Geet" he said. His hands soon turned so spider fingers as his fingers crawled up and down her back.
Geet loved his touch.
Geet: "What's your dark side Maan?" she asked even softly this time
After a few seconds of silence, Maan answered
Maan: "I'm already dark. My whole body is dark" he said
Geet's eyes widened.
Geet: "What? But your so nice and --"
Maan: "Why do I stay away from people? Why am I so quiet? Why am I so mean sometimes?" he said and then decided to ask himself the same questions.
Maan: "It's natural. I don't do it delebirately" he said
Geet: "I won't judge you Maan. I like you just the way you are. Dark or not. And anyway, I like mysterious guys" she said and then bent her head back to look into his eyes.
Maan wasn't smiling, but his eyes were. His jet black eyes looked back into Geet's intense ones and remained there.
Those eyes.
She could look into them forever.
Geet: "I love your eyes. Beautiful" she finally said, letting her inner voice out.
Maan still wasn't smiling, but Geet could tell his eyes were.
But his eyes suddenly stopped smiling. It turned to fear and worry.
Maan: "What if... What if I hurt you" he whispered and bent his head forward, so their foreheads were touching.
Maan: "I'm dark. I always hurt people" he whispered again and a tear escaped his eye.
He didn't want to be dark.
Geet wiped the tear away immediately.
Geet: "You will never hurt me. I know you won't. Mark my words" she said and nuzzled her face in his neck again.
Their bodies pressed together as they hugged each other tightly, in fear if they let go they will vanish. They both wanted to remain like this forever.
Maan gently rocked her back and forth, and then before she knew it, her eyes began to feel heavy, and slowly she drifted off to a deep, dreamless sleep.
