~Tum Mile~

PART 37

The same evening at the penthouse Sid Ridz Sue and Sim were having their dinner. Strangely the silence was dominating the dinning table and exept for Sim no one seem to notice it.

Simran was a very talkative person she needed noise to feel good and this silence was almost like a torture to make her confess something she didn't do.

Sim: okay what's wrong with you all? (all three of them look up at her) tum log itne chup kyun ho?...dont tell me tum teeno ka jagda hua hai?

Sid: ohh btw jagde se yaad aaya (looking at sue) Sue tumne bataya nahin tumhari naayi dosti hui hai (ridz smiles and sue frowns at sid)

Sue: what? who are you talking about bro?

Sid: I'm talking about Raj but is there anyone else?

Sue: Godd who the hell told you about that? and...he's not my friend okay we are just trying to behave like collegues

Sim: who's that Raj boy?

Sid: intern hai Sanjeevaani mein and my lovely sis loovess to hate him..or should I say that now she haaates to like him

Sue: bro one more word and I'll shoot you with that damn fork!

Sim: wow a hate love relationship! Is he hot?!

Sue: WHAT!! Nooo!...can we stop talking about him?

Ridz: c'mon Sue...maana tumhe Raj kuch khaas pasand nahin but you have to agree that he is a very nice and good looking guy (sid's smile slowly vanishes on hearing this)

Sue: bhabhi! aap bhi uska side le rahi hai!

Ridz: main kisi ka side nahin le rahi Sue...aur tum Raj se dosti karo ya na karo yeh tumhara decision hai lekin jo sach hai usko bhi maan lena chahiye naa

Sim: OMGG nice and Hot! Sue I gotta meet that guy!

Sue: okay main apni kamre mein jaa rahi hoon goodnite! (she leaves the table a lil annoyed)

Ridz: Sue wait...(but she left)

Sim: main jaa ke madam ko dekhti hoon

She runs after Sue. Ridz smiles lookin at Sid who looked lost but Ridz didn't notice that point. She took the plates and heads towards the kitchen. Coming back to his senses after what seemed an hour for him even thought it was only few secs..he runs after Riddhima with his plate. Ridz was busy washing the plates while he was trying to find a way to bring back Raj and his good looks topic. She smiles giving him a glance.

Ridz: yeh Sue bhi naa...pata nahin kyun uss bechare Raj se itna nafrat karti hai (sid was surprised for a sec thinking that she was still stuck on Raj)

Sid: heuu Riddhima...voh jo tum Raj ke bare mein bol rahi thi...voh Sue ko pareshan karne ke liye tha? (ridz was lost in her task so didn't think twice before giving her answer)

Ridz: nahin tho...(with her carefree tone) kyun? Tumhe nahin lagta Raj good looking hai? (sid was completely taken aback. His wife is praising another guy in front of him and she even dares to ask if he agrees)

Sid: mujhe kya pata maine kabhi dhyaan nahin diya hai...(she rolls her eyes exasperated with that male ego)

Ridz: fine mat batao...par sirf uski shakal hi nahin Raj is a very good intern and a promising doctor (sid was at the edge of explosion. What was wrong with her he thought? He wasn't a possessive or jealous type but Riddhima was doing a fine job to awake this side of his. And here Riddhima still unaware of what was going on in his mind was not ready to drop the topic) I mean...he takes his job very seriously..humesha koi naa koi kam karta hai and he has this ability to learn so fast...I think he'll become one of the best doctors in Sanjeevaani

Sid looking up: dude plzz...Riddhima ka mooh todi der ke liye band karo yaar! Aur kitni tareef karegi uss raj ke bache ki! (looking back at her) Riddhima tum apne pati ke samne kisi aur mard ki tareef kaise kar sakti ho yaar?! (ridz was done with her task and looked at him with a questioning look..he swallowed not daring to actually utter those words to her so just nervously smiled)

Ridz: kya hua? tum jawab nahin de rahe ho...ya phir yahan bhi dhyaan nahin diya hai?

Sid: Riddhima...voh main keh raha tha ki...kya main bhi tumhe Raj ki tarah acha aur serious doctor lagta hoon? (riddhima was confused for a sec with the question but his expression hinted her that something was fishy. She realized that he was feeling insecure and definitely liked the thought so decides to torture him a lil more)

Ridz: heuu haan...I mean tum bhi ache intern ho...bas Raj apne kam ko bohut seriously leta hai aur usse kabhi adhoora nahin chorta...logon se ziada baat bhi nahin karta...aur tum jo ho...tum kam karte ho par tum uski tarah nahin ho...

Sid: uski tarah nahin hoon matlab? Main tumhe serious nahin lag raha? (ridz smiles and takes few steps towards him)

Ridz: Sid...tum aur raj mein bohut fark hai...jab tum hospital aate ho tho poori Sanjeevaani ko pata chalta hai ki Siddhant Modi is here...(sid was looking at her lost..that is what she thinks about him. He lowers his gaze like a kid ready to cry after being scolded. Riddhima's smile grew and she pinches his nose so he looks up) you're a very good doctor Siddhant Modi

Sid: really? (not really conviced)

Ridz: really...jante ho kyun? (he nods in a no) kyunki tum yahan se kam karte ho (resting her palm on his heart) aur aisa doctor hume kahin aur nahin milega (finaly he smiles and rests his hand on hers)

Even thought Riddhima reassured him he was still not fully convinced. She was right..he wasn't as serious as Raj in his work. Most of his time was spent with the gang in cafeteria or locker room. Of course when it comes to his patients he was does a serious job but it wasn't good enough. This was it! his behaviour had to changed. He is a married man and has to behave like one. So from now he wasn't that carefree Sid but will give the definition of an exceptional intern. With that big decision and feeling completely satisfied he goes to sleep peacefully.

Next morning when Riddhima wakes up she is surprised to find the bed empty.

She first checks the bathroom but he wasn't there so heads downstairs to only find Sue having her breakfast. When asked her, Sue told her that he was already gone to Sanjeevaani.

Sid was walking through the empty corridors. Some of the employees were surprised to see him here at this time. Ignoring their questioning looks he heads towards the locker room and finds Raj reading a file. He opens his locker to take his stuff.

Raj: hey dude!...tum aaj itni jaldi kaise aa gaaye?

Sid: kuch nahin bas..toda kam hai

It was still understandable to see raj here at this time but sid was really surprised to see two other people he never thought will see that early...JP Jiggy! What on earth were they doing at Sanjeevaani at this time! More than Sid, these two were taken aback by his presence that in a sec they lost track of their conversation.

Jp: Sid bhaya?? Aap yahan?

Jiggy: aur voh bhi iss waqt??!

Sid: kyun? main nahin aa sakta iss waqt? (a stern look on his face)

Jp: ab yeh kaisa sawaal hai Sid bhaya...saasur ka haspital hai tho kaa hua..apki hi hone vaali hai...

Sid: tum dono yahan kya kar rahe ho iss waqt?

Jiggy: hum tho breakfast karne...ouch! (feeling jp's hard punch on his stomack)

Jp: inka matlab hai ki...subah jaldi uth gaaye tho nashta karke sida yahin aa gaaye...hai naa? (looking at jiggy who confusedly rubs the back of his head)

Jiggy: haan…..

Sid: whatever...mujhe kam hai so bye

Jp: arre kahan jaa rahe hain? abhi duty shuru hone mein bohut time hai

Sid: dude...bimari time ko dekh kar nahin aati hai tho main uska ilaaj karne mein time kyun dekhun? (with that he leaves the locker and jp jiggy look at each other cofused)

Jp: daya re daya! Inko kaa hua hai?

Raj: jo bhi ho...hero solid dialogue bolke chala gaaya...

This is what Sid did whole day...ignore his friends, skip his breaks but above all avoid Riddhima his biggest weakness and distraction. Even the atmosphere in the hospital was kinda boring and unusally calm. It was Riddhima's lunch break and she saw Sid in the corridors. A warm smile appears on her face the moment his eyes spotted her.

Ridz: acha hua tum mile..chalo saath mein lunch karte hain

Sid: heuu..nahin Riddhima..mujhe abhi kam hai..tum baki sab ke saath lunch karo main baad mein milta hoon

He knew if she requests one more time he will not be able to refuse. So without even giving her a chance to speak he runs from there. Riddhima was completely dumbstruck confused on how to react. So with her lost expression she heads towards the cafeteria and not in mood to eat anymore she just orders a coffee and isolates herself from the rest of the staff.

Sue and Naina join Riddhima as they saw her alone but first look around to find Sid who was again missing.

Sue: Bhabhi aap yahan akeli kyun ho? and where's bro?

Ridz: Sid toda busy hai tho kam kar raha hai

Naina: what? Sid lunch break pe kab se kam karne laga hai?

Yuvi: sirf lunch break nahin Naina Sid tho subah se hi gaayab hai (all the boys join them as the conversation was about Sid's sudden weird behaviour)

Raj: subah bhi bohut jaldi aaya tha...kuch khaas mood mein bhi nahin tha

Naina: mood mein nahin tha?...(looking at ridz) didi aap dono ke beech sab kuch theek tho hai naa? (ridz was feeling all the eyes on her and was feeling uncomfortable. Poor girl was being accused for something she didnt do)

Ridz: nahinn aisa kuch bhi nahin hai..humare beech sab theek hai

Yuvi: Naina tum kaise sawaal karti ho...agar aisa kuch hota tho Sid khud hume batata aur madat bhi maangta Riddhima ko manane ke liye..(raj laughs)

Sue: but seriously then what is wrong with superboy? usne pehle tho aisa nahin kiya hai

Raj: guys..tum log itna overreact kyun kar rahe ho? he is just doing his duty thats it...shayad voh kam pe ziada dhyaan dena chahta hai...I dont see anything wrong in that

Riddhima's eyes widened. Yes! Thats exactly what he's trying to do. Work more and be serious...just like Raj! She couldnt believe he took her that seriously and was ready to change for her. She leaves from there and everyone looked at each other confused as to what wrong did they say.

Riddhima tried hard the whole day to talk to him but all her attemps went in vain. First she didnt mind but soon it started to get on her nerves and in no time it changed into anger. She kept herself busy in her files the rest of the day to forget Sid and her anger.

Finaly Sid's first real busy day came to its end. His eyes were searching for one person only..Riddhima. He missed her badly and was impatient to take her in his arms and forget all his tiredness. But unfortunately she was nowhere to be found. He stops a nurse to ask her.

Sid: sister...aapne Dr Riddhima ko kahin dekha hai?

Nurse: yes sir...maine abhi unhe locker room mein Dr Naina se baat karte hue dekha

He runs in the locker room and smiles seeing her back. She was talking to Naina

Naina: ok bye didi (she leaves from there but before gives Sid a warm goodbye smile. Riddhima turns and sees Sid standing all happy. Her smile fades and a stern expression takes place. Not paying him any attention she was about to leave)

Sid: Riddhima...(she stops in her tracks but still has her back to him) tumhari duty khatam ho gaayi hai naa? tho ghar chalein? (she looks at him with the same expression)

Ridz: tum ghar jao main baad mein aati hoon

Sid: baad mein? Kyun?

Ridz: kyunki mujhe kam hai Sid! (raising her voice) tum jao (sid was looking at her confused. She was deffinately angry..but why? and was it his fault again?)

Sid: tum gusse mein ho? (something he should have never asked)

Ridz: main gusse mein hoon?! Tum saara din mujhe avoid kar rahe the! Naa hi mujhse mile! Naa hi ek baar baat kiya! (while saying all this she was taking steps towards him and Sid was taking steps backwards)

Sid: par Riddhima main tho bas kam mein busy tha naa

Ridz: itna busy the ki mujhse do mins baat bhi nahin kar sakte the?! (he was feeling sad now. He is putting so much effort to make a better image of himself in her eyes and instead of being happy she was scolding him)

Sid: Riddhima main bas...tumhare nazron mein ek kabil doctor baan na chahta tha (he lowers his gaze and sits on the bench. Suddenly all her anger vanishes. She was right..he was doing all this just for her. She kneels down and holds his hands)

Ridz: Sid kya maine kabhi kaha hai ki tum ache doctor nahin ho? (he slowly nods in a no) kal raat maine tumhare bare mein jo kaha voh tho bas tumhe toda sataane ke liye tha

Sid: par tum sahi thi Riddhima...jo kuch tumne kaha voh sab sach tha (she sighs and sits next to him and with her palm makes him face her)

Ridz: Sid yahan jitne bhi interns aur doctors hai voh sirf doctors hai...par tum Sanjeevaani ki jaan ho Sid...tumhe pata hai children wards mein jitne bhi bache hain tumhare hote hue unhe yeh mehsoos nahin hota ki voh anaat hai...jitna pyaar tum yahan ke logon se jaata the ho voh aur koi nahin karta Sid...humare jaise doctors tho har jagah mil sakte hain par Sanjeevaani bohut lucky jo usse tum jaise doctor mila hai...

Sid: really? (she smiles)

Ridz: really...(finaly he smiles)

Sid: tho phir main wapis vahin Sid baan jaoun? (ridz nods smiling) ek baat kahun...mera din aaj bohut boring tha...kyunki maine apni biwi ko bohut miss kiya (he bends a lil and kisses her forehead)

Ridz: bohut bhook lagi hai subah se kuch khaya nahin...khana khaane chalein?

Sid: kya? tumne subah se kuch khaya nahin? I'm sorry Riddhima..I promise dobara aisi galati nahin hogi

Ridz: ek shart pe maaf karungi...tum mujhe khana apne haathon se khilaoge (sid smiles)

Sid: agar aisi baat hai tho...(he gets up and takes her hand) hum abhi chalte hain (sid was nearly dragging her but she stops again. Sid looks at her confused)

Ridz: I'm sorry Sid...kal main Raj ke bare mein kuch ziada hi bol gaayi naa? (sid comes close to her and bends just a lil)

Sid: ek shart pe maaf karunga...(ridz was waiting for his condition when she felt her feet leaving the ground and the next moment she was in his strong arms) tum mujhe khana apne haathon se khilaogi...

They both smile to each other and Sid rests his forehead on hers. Ridz wraps her arms around his neck and he leaves the hospital to spend some precious time with his wife not even caring about people around him or what they might think.

So coming back to the update.. This was really cute.. Sid getting irritated when Riddhima was praising Raj.. Then trying to impress her by changing into a kaabil doctor.. he is just sooo cute!!! Gosh, made me want to pull his cheeks..

Haiye.. Can I ever get enough of SR?? I don't think so.. So please update asap... 😳
