chapter 11
maan reaches his car still smiling remembering the incident at the mall with prem and heer relentlessly following
him with shopping bags.
heer: maan why are u smiling???
prem: and how did u get wet???
maan acts like he didnt hear them, opens the door for them to get it.
prem: are u deaf maan???
heer: prem chodo, yeh paagal ho gaya hai.
maan: will u both shut up and not disturb me???
prem: jahaan bhi jao, apna rang dikhaane lag jaatha hai.....whatever!!!
maan(lies to both): prem calm down, i just dashed a gal by mistake and her water bottled spilled on me, thats it.
heer: then what's so funny abt???
maan: nothing at all.....tum dono ko mere hasne par bhi doubt hai kya???(grinning)
heer: maan u r a riddle, u r not normal. i dont know what will happen with u(sighs and nods her head for a no)
maan laughs seeing her. prem and heer are even more confused now. maan takes out his car from the parking lot
and drives towards the exit only to spot geet standing with simi, waiting for the driver to get the car. maaneeet
look at each other, their eyes meet and stay fixed on each other until maan moves forward. geet smiles and maan
notices that in the mirror and smiles. everyone get back to their home.
at HM:
geet is in her room, smiling remembering her meeting with maan at the mall.
geet:
geet tu bhi na...paagal hai, maan ke upar paani phekdi??? aur kya kuch nahi kahan tumne usse??? (looks up) babaji patha nahi ki woh kya soch rahein honge......
she realises she has got loads of work to do tomo and decides to goto sleep.
at KM:
maan enters the mansion, daadu is eagerly waiting for him, VSK is surprised to see maan smiling at himself.
daadu: maan puttar....
maan(who was in his own world, comes back to his conscious): jee daadu
daadu: aap itne hasmukh kyun hai aaj??? zara humain bhi bathayiye....
maan(again lying): kuch nahin daadu, woh bas prem aur heer ke saath baahar gaya tha na iss liye....
daadu: hmmm lagtha hai aapka din achcha raha. ab chaliye khaana khaathe hain....
they both walk towards the dining table.
next morning at KM:
maan is getting ready at superfast speed. he knows that the girl is gonna call the radio station today. he calls adi
to inform everyone to be ready. he comes down and walks towards the dining hall. daadi looks up to see maan, he
nods to her speaking thru his eyes that "today is the day". she smiles. daadu who was immersed in the newspaper
looks up,
daadu: maan aap kab aaye??? baitiye, aur aap aapki daadi ki taraf aise kyun dekh rahein hai??? tum dono ke beech
hamesha kuch na kuch chalthahi rehtha hai....
maan: kuch nahi daadu, breakfast shuru karein, mujhe bahut bhook lag rahi he....
maan eats unusually fast today, VSK is spellbound looking at him. maan gets up, says goobye to both and leaves
for office.
daadu: yeh maan ko aaj kal ho kya gaya hai??? itna badla badla sa lag raha hai....
daadi: huh!!! aage agge dekhiye hotha hai kya???
daadu looks at her in awe.
at HM:
geet gets ready as soon as brij leaves. she finishes her breakfast again in a hurry, brij knows that something is
going on, but he wants to wait until geet herself tells him everything. everyone else just keep staring at her. she
leaves saying goodbye to all. she asks the driver to take her to some xyz radio station.
at KC:
maan reaches office and moves straight towards the conference room, adi and the rest follow him. the remaining
staff is confused specially sasha and tasha. they all sit down in their places.
maan: adi tumne detective agency ko phone kiya???
adi: yes sir, maine unhe sab samjha diya hai.
they all discuss their plan once again and wait for the clock to strike 10am.
9.50am: everyone gets ready for the show to start. maan is eager and excited.
10am: the show starts.
at exactly 10.10am, adi nods and maan and the other switch to his radio station.
rj: maan singh khurana??? yeh kaun hai??? aur aapka naam kya hai???
caller(geet):
yeh phone call unkeliye hai, main jaanthi hun ki woh is waqt aapka show sun rahe hain. mera naam tho maan ko hi patha lagaana hai.
rj: huh??? u r losing me miss.
caller: aap phikar matha karo, jiske liye phone hai woh sab samajh rahe hain.
rj: hmmmm ok....yeh koi love story ki shuruwaath lagthi hai. we're happy to help.
caller(laughs): yeh tho bhagwaan hi jaane. now if u will plz allow me to address maan singh khurana??/
rj: plz go ahead....
caller: maan main jaanthi hun ki aap mujhe sun rahein hain, aur pehli baar meri awaaz ko. well coming to the point. i
'll let u know the riddle in a while before that i want to make one thing clear, if u get the answer u call the rj or
else no. if the answer u got is wrong or if u couldn't figure out my name u move to the post office or else if u get
my name right, rj will give u the instructions. now for the riddle,
main saath suron ka sangam hun,
har aawaaz ki gungunahat hun
aur main har panchi ki baath hun.
maan u got exactly one hour from the time i cut my call. the first line of the song coming up is also a clue, listen to
it. thanks rj for ur help. plz play the song " gaatha rahein mera dil" for me.
rj: that was too good. sure miss, thanks for callin see ya.
and the call cuts and the song " gaatha rahein mera dil, tu hi meri manzil". maan listens to the first line while
others have jotted down the riddle. maan is mesmerised by her sweet chirpy voice. he smiles and realises that
everyone is looking at him for his orders.
maan: start solving the riddle. hurry up.
he too takes a pen and paper and starts to solve it.
