Part 14

Maaya (turning to Daanish): It is of no use Daanish. Woh log tumhein nahin dekh sakte.Aur na hi tumhein sun sakte hain.

[Daanish takes a few steps backwards and sits down on the floor. He seems to be miles away. Maaya goes to sit next to him. They sit like this for a few minutes, listening to Misha instructing the cleaners.]

Maaya: Daanish. Dekha tumne galat kaam ka nateeja?

Daanish (sadly): Galat kaam? I love Panchhi yaar. I didn't want to lose her!

Maaya: Aur jo tumne mere saath kiya?

Daanish: What?

[Maaya stares at him, her expression bleak.]

(confusedly) What did I do to you Maaya?

Maaya: Tumne mujhe use kiya Daanish. Pehle pyaar ka jhootha naatak kiya. Pregnant kiya. Phir mujhe cheat kiya. Aur jab mujhe pata chala toh tumne mujhe promise kiya ki tum Panchhi ko chhod doge. Par woh sab dhokha tha. Aur tumne mujhe maara. Pia ka murder karne ki koshish ki.

(She gets up and moves to the railing, watching the workers.)

Mujhe jo lagi, usmein sab se badi chot yehi thi ki jis bacche ko humne pyaar se conceive kiya, tumne use reject kar diya. Mujhe reject kar diya. Woh bhi paison ke liye. Aur tumne mujhe wohi paise offer kiye...khareedne ki koshish ki. Aur phir, tumhaari wajah se I lost my baby. Khud se nazarein milaane ke laayak nahin rahi main. You destroyed me. You killed me.

(There is complete silence for a few moments.)

Daanish (slowly): Maaya?

(brightly) See, woh log chale gaye!!

[Daanish starts jumping around happily, while Maaya watches him quietly. When he finally calms down, she catches his eyes and starts walking towards a window.]

Daanish: Maaya? Kahaan ja rahi ho?

Maaya: Tum sudhar nahin sakte. Tum toh maante hi nahin ki tumne kuch galat kiya hai. Leking Daanish, mujhe barbaad kar ke tum bhi khush nahin reh sakte.

[She walks out through the window.]

Abhay carries Haseena up to her room, since Chaand is too shocked to do anything other than hovering around her.

Abhay: Dad?

(a little more loudly) Dad!

Chaand (snapping out of his trance, though still looking dazed): Yeah?

Abhay: Meri desk se woh glass lekar aao...the one with the blue liquid.

(seeing that Chaand hasn't moved.)

Dad!!

(Chaand looks at him.)

Now!!

[Chaand goes to Abhay's room, his mind spinning. He sees two glasses on Abhay's desk - one with blue liquid, and the other one with red.]

Chaand: Ah..a drink! I need one!

[He sits down to drink the red liquid, and at the first sip, weird expressions chase across his face...]

Alone in his house since Misha and the cleaners had left while he was talking to Maaya, Daanish thinks about all that had happened that day.

Undead? Paagal ho gayi hai Maaya marr ke. Zinda thi tab toh stupid thi hi. Marr ke toh bilkul hi...

Wait. Main yeh kya bol raha hoon. Maaya marr gayi hoti toh main usse baat thodi na kar paata... par woh khidki ke baahar aise hi chali gayi.

Matlab...she IS dead? I AM undead?

Oh my God!!!!!!

Angad is peering over Kabir's shoulder, trying to see what he is doing. Kabir looks up and Angad gives him a huge grin. Kabir grins back hugely, and slaps him.

Angad (rubbing his cheek): Dude yaar!

Kabir: Kitni baar kehna padega ki door reh mujhse?

Angad: Main toh bas yehi dekh raha tha ki tum kya kar rahe ho. (pouting) Jaao. Main tumse baat nahin karta. Katti!!! (he turns away)

Kabir (sighing): Oho...sorry yaar. It's just that....I am trying to tell Pia...about my feelings...about what happened.

Angad: Oh. Achha.

[They share a short companiable silence.]

Oye! Tell Pia? Kaise?

[Kabir smacks his forehead and goes away.]

About update-

Poor Maya marne ke baad bhi Dan ka saath mila! Hahaha

Lekin yeh Danish bhi na! Maya is right. Kabhi nahi sudheraga! humph. But is he really undead!? 😲

And what is Abhay upto?? 😆

Poor Chaandeena....feeling bad for them. Kya kya suffer karna padta hai all in the name of love. 😆😆

Poor Angad. Wahin bhi fatak pe fatak aur yahin bhi! tsk tsk. 😆

Aaj sab poor poor lag rahe the. 😆

But the update wasnt! Really good. Enjoyed reading it. =)
