Part 26

Finally Geet entered to the engagement party hall, his all memories flashed before his eyes by one glimpse of Geet. Maan noticed her beauty. She never looked as beautiful before.

"Once Geet, Brij and Maan were coming back from school, Geet wanted to eat golgappa, but she didn't say anything because she was afraid of Brij's reactions, then she slowly whispered in Maan's ear about her desire for golgappa, and even though Brij was Maan's best friend, but Maan still lied to Brij and he said that he wanted to eat golgappa desperately, Maan noticed very sweet smile on Geet's face when Maan said that, and that smile was unforgettable for Maan, the innocence and sweetness inherited by Geet was the most fond memory Maan had. They all enjoyed golgappa, or mainly Geet enjoyed it and Maan stared at her when she was eating it, she was trying hard to put one golgappa at a time in her small mouth and it just fell off all the time and Maan enjoyed that sight cheerfully, he never realized that all those small memories had connected both of them from very beginning, her smile was as elegant today as it was that day."

The difference between that day and today was that he was the reason behind her smile on that day but today somebody else was the reason. It hurt him; he wanted to be the reason for smile on her face.

She was studded with red - white beautiful sari and diamond jewelry, diamond looked as sharp as her skin, diamonds were neatly blended with her skin. He couldn't take his eyes off from her for a second; she was walking towards Sameer with all girls around her who were teasing Geet.

Suddenly his gaze reached to her neck, where beautiful necklace was encircled and one more memory popped up in his mind.

"Once Brij, Geet and Maan were having lunch during the break at school, Geet brought carrot halwa for Maan secretly and Maan enjoyed it a lot, while having lunch, Maan noticed that there were some bruises around Geet's neck and he understood that this could be done by Brij, and while going back to home from school, Maan and Brij fought and that resulted in silence between Maan and Brij for a week. Maan couldn't bare those bruises on Geet and he beat his own friend for Geet, he realized that unknowingly he had always tried to protect her but now he understood the reason behind his behavior. Geet had tried to stop both of them while they were fighting but nobody stopped. Both got little hurt because of fight, Brij left in anger while Geet was still standing there. Geet saw blood falling down from Maan's left palm. She torn her dupatta, Maan was stopping her to tear her dupatta but she said "Chup, bilkul Chup" and then she fastened her torn dupatta carefully on his left palm. Maan was amazed by that, he couldn't speak anything; he was staring intensely in her eyes which were filled with tears. Maan had explained her so many times to stand against the cruelty performed by her family but she never gathered courage to do so hence Maan was always angry at her."

Maan came back to present where he heard clapping. Sameer and Geet reached on the stage and people were clapping for them happily. Ceremony had started and Maan kept himself busy talking with other business tycoons. Even though he was talking with other people, but his one gaze from the corner of his eye was always on Geet. By looking at smiling Geet, he had decided not to come in between Geet and Sameer.

Geet noticed Maan and she approached him, Maan observed that Geet was walking towards him hence he cemented his typical Maan Singh Khurana look on his face.

"Geet, Congratulations, you look stunning."Maan said with smile.

"Thanks Maan, it is so great to see you hear, it was surprised party so I didn't know who was going to be in the party, I hope you have met Sameer."Geet said.

"Yes, he is a nice man."Maan said.

"Yes he is."Geet said while eyeing at Sameer from the corner of her eye.

Sameer called Geet hence she left Maan and both Sameer and Geet got busy in entertaining guests.

Maan left the party.

It was the biggest party ever. Finally Sameer's dad reached to the party, the flight got delayed so he reached late.

Sameer introduced Geet to his dad, Geet bent down to reach out to his feet and he stopped in between her and he hugged her lightly while giving her blessings.

His Dad was so happy by looking at Sameer's happiness, Sameer was never happy and content like this before.

He gave a diamond jewelry set to Geet and Geet had happily accepted it as his blessings.

By the first look of Geet, he was sure that Geet would keep Sameer happy.

Her first look gave him a confirmation that now he wouldn't mind if death would knock on his door because his last desire to make sure Sameer's happiness was fulfilled.

There were few tears rolled in his eyes; Geet also joined him on the land of tears.

Both hugged each other again and Geet's past ran into her mind quickly, she remembered how his father always hated her and she never got this kind of hug from her father, but now God had heard her desire and she got father in her life, but she missed her Mom's hug and affection.

Party got successfully over, everybody left except Sameer and Geet. Sameer had special plans for Geet, he took her to the lake.

Sameer held Geet's hands softly and he was playing with his fingers while enjoying the serene beauty of lake, it was night time so lake was really calm with soft sound of water, the reflection of Moon in the lake made it more enchanting. The lake area was lit by moonlight and it was the full moon day.

Sameer and Geet were standing on the bridge over the lake; both were lost in each other's eyes though Geet was shyly hiding her gaze.

"Geet, I am the luckiest man on the earth, as I have you, you are the most beautiful woman on the earth, in fact, hundreds of moon also can't generate the moonlight which you have on your face." Sameer said.

Geet was overwhelmed; she never heard such wonderful words for her. She started blushing and Sameer noticed it. Sameer forcedly grabbed her from her waist. Sameer cuddled her and Geet didn't try to get away from his embrace as she felt warmth.

They were very close to each other that they could hear each other's breathing; they could smell each other's scent.

She slightly shivered as Sameer got really close to her. Sameer was staring at her eyes and her sensuous lip intensely. Geet knew what was coming.
